Denmark Ocean Beach Holiday Park reviews
65Absolutely loved the place. The kids had so much fun! The playground is great and the staff super helpful and friendly. The manager even helped us out by fixing an issue we were having with our caravan under heavy rain with a smile. Definitely recommend it for families who wants to have relaxing quality time together.
Expensive for what you don't get. Bad TV reception and if you have Optus phone no signal. But it is what it is. Great place for families and plenty for the kids to do and the beach and fishing a 5min walk. The amenities are spotless and brilliant. Staff all helpful and friendly.
Safe to say this is the most fabulous park!
My family and i stayed were only meant to stay 4 nights but ended up staying a whole week.
We checked in late and being a ditz i couldn't find the site the onsite managers were amazing and came down and help us find the site.
And it just kept getting better, checking in with the office in the morning the reception staff were just delightful, bubbly really helpful people.
The facilities were great very clean, and the grounds immaculate!
Loved seeing all the wild life the kangaroos and bird were just a cherry on top of an already beautiful park.
The kids loved the pedal carts and bouncy pillow.
We will definitely be returning for many more family holidays.
Would 100% recommended to anyone wanting a beautiful, friendly, fun family holiday.
We stayed in a 3 bedroom chalet and it was lovely. Nice neutral decor, spotlessly clean and a fire that was safe for our two toddlers. Great spot within a short distance from the town centre and the water. Staff were delightful. Would definitely stay again.
Stayed in a deluxe spa villa 2 bed, it was clean tidy and well presented. Loved the fire place that was a gas heater.nice touch. Loved the bathroom products! Very well thought out an generous. Would have been 5 star if the coffee/tea were a better brand: -/ Nescafé and Lipton aren’t really something I’d consider drinkable but that’s my own personal opinion. We drank it a anyway, kids got us up at 4am. We will be back! Kids loved the playground facilities and the early morning beach walk.
Times of crisis always test our resilience and determination, but they also test our kindness and humanity. We aren’t sure how our own actions would have graded against those attributes as result of the Covid-19 pandemic, but we are certain that Big4 Ocean Beach would be at the top of the scale.
When the lockdown order was issued and regional travel banned, it kept its doors open to out-of-state travelers like us who didn’t have elsewhere to go. Not only that, but they also provided the conditions to help us maintain the social distancing and hygiene measures that have now became the new normal. They made us feel safe, welcomed and showed us that despite uncertainty, we can all be responsible citizens with one another.
Thank you, and specially to Megan and the rest of the day-to-day staff. We will always think of the time we were in lockdown in Big4 Ocean Beach in Denmark (WA) as a stay-home holiday rather than something to be endured.
See you all soon!

Hired out one of of the 4 front cabins and loved it luxury in a caravan park. Great location about 1km walk to beach. Definitely recommend this place.
Not customer focused. Never Again.
I drove 6 hrs from Wave Rock to get here yesterday, Office closed at 5: 15 pm. No worries, they have After Hrs phone outside the door. I Picked up phone, lady answered and told me "to make a booking during office hours" Lady wouldn't even let me in Wire Drop Gate, so I could pitch a Tent, and sort out payment next Day.
I've stayed here Big 4 Ocean Beach Camp Grounds 4 times in past, NEVER AGAIN SUNSHINE.
We went down Road and booked a cabin No Problems and with friendly service.
Tidy. Great amenities and facilities. Management did not hover or hound us with rules and regulations - a really enjoyable stay. Will certainly return when it's not blowing a gale and hailing.lol
This may be a very big caravan park, but it’s also very good. Great free camping feel amongst the trees at the rear of the park with an excellent camp kitchen facility. Every things clean and friendly.
Lovely park for camping, we just kept extending our stay. Great for kids, with bouncing pillow, playground, tennis court, mini golf and great surface for riding bikes around the camp grounds. There is no cost for mini golf supplies or raquets etc. The ablutions are modern and clean. Camp kitchen is great, TV, and plenty of tables and chairs, BBQ facilities, toasters, kettles and gas hot plates, microwave etc. Birdlife is amazing, loved the little Blue Wren and kangaroos around the park each night. Short walk across to the beach inlet. Staff professional and friendly, great to ask them of things to do around town and as far as Albany etc.
We’ve been there many times and really enjoy it. It’s huge but never feels crowded.
Phone reception is ordinary and most sites have no TV reception- probably a good thing when you’re on holidays.
Great facilities, clean and variety of bays. 7km out of town and although a very big area and park it gives quietness peacefulness.
The best camping site and the shower room. Big place and clean, stay here can hear the wave sound all night! Terrific!
Great caravan park! We arrived quite late, and the manager was still able to accommodate us!
Also, we were surrounded by kangaroos in the morning, which made staying at Ocean Beach an incredible experience!
Overall, couldn't complain. All basic amenities are there plus a friendly visit from wildlife every beautiful morning!
One of the best parks in the south west. Great amenities, toilet shower facilities are always spotless. Huge camp kitchen with outdoor undercover bbq area. Well maintained grounds and acres of caravan and camping space under trees, on lawn or in the open. Easy walking to estuary and surf beach. Do not miss it, just 7km from town centre.
What a great caravan park! Thank you for fitting us in. We loved our stay. Amenities were clean, water hot. Kids were well entertained with the pedal carts, jumping pillow, movie night. Thanks Denmark!
Quite expensive for unpowered sites with a minimum stay of 7 days. Facilities for these sites were less then average.
Shower block was nice and clean. We were put on a lot next to the camp kitchen with picnic benches right next to us so it was noisy from 6.30 am onwards. No idea why they felt we would like 8 nights in that spot when the park was pretty much empty most of the week. We moved and then told them. Full of kangaroo droppings and biting flies. It was ok. I imagine families with young kids would love it.
