Denmark Hotel

Warning. Feeling pretty sick after this meal tonight. Ordered two steaks and easy to say it was literally boiled bad quality ’steak’. Barely charred on one side and the other side looked and tasted like over cooked mince. Returned the steaks and staff were friendly and understanding, however when it came back the next steak was the exact same. Wouldn’t recommend eating here, especially the meat, unless you want to buy reduced end cuts of beef that’s unnecessarily overpriced. Staff were great there wasn’t much they could do but the food hygiene here is concerning to be honest and should definitely be looked into.

Was Very Cold, only Column Heaters,
Went in Shower, was Cold, no Hot Water.
Only good thing, close to Town Centre.

The service was great at the bar very friendly lady. The food was discussing had 2 specials of the day, let me tell you nothing special there, the lasagne for $20 was just a piece of lasagne no salad nothing and cold didn't meet health standards of over 60 degrees that's for sure and as for the grilled barramundi the skin was soggy and found 2 scales and, no salad or chips. I work in the hospitality industry I think the health department need to take a look. So why didn't I send it back because I know what they do when people send things back, disappointed we went there about 4 years ago food was great.
Lift your game guys.

Just got takeaway pizza, prawn and Jalapeño is delicious, base is crispy, prawns (not shrimp) massive, tender and lots of them. Lovely manager, very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for one night! After seeing the reviews we where sceptical but the rooms where very clean & tidy and we had great customer service when checking in! Only downfall was it was a little over priced and outdated but would definitely stay here again. Food at the pub was also great

The hotel is in a great location, close to all the local attractions, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with all the amenities I needed. The hotel also has a great restaurant on site, serving delicious food and drinks. I enjoyed a wonderful meal during my stay and the service was excellent.

Overall, I would highly recommend the Denmark Hotel to anyone visiting southern part of Western Australia. It's a great place to stay for both business and leisure travelers, and I'm already looking forward to my next stay

Can we please ask why you charge so much for people paying cash at your establishment?
You complain Bookings dot com charge you excessive fees but your cash price is way higher than Bookings dot com.
Please explain we are local WA Residents and you rip us off your not setting a good impression.

Got a bog standard motel room, clean and big enough but Australia has a different standard of luxurious

Great meals with friendly staff & pleasing atmosphere. Have dined her a few times when we're here.

Got confirmation letter plus message from hotel saying they will try their best to suit my requirements and I went all the way from bluff Knoll, finally was told no room available, it was system error. They just cancelled my booking at the last minute.

They also lied to me said there are still rooms available at Denmark tavern and just wanted me to leave. I drove to there the owner said no rooms available. I Had to book another motel in Mount Baker which was 45 minutes driving from Denmark.

Denmark hotel, thanks for messing around and lying.

Not value for money.
No air con, no solid soap, no microwave, no toaster, not enough hot water. Not worth 165 dollars. We have travelled from northern NSW and this was the most expensive.

Very friendly and welcoming. We only went in the bar because we had already booked somewhere else.

Where do I start. Cleaniness was very poor with mould in the bathroom and also in the door seal of the fridge. The pillow covers were also not clean whilst the towels were passable however had marks on them also. The knob on the wardrobe was hanging off and there was only one extra blanket for a 2 bed room. Arrived Friday restaurant closed as it was good Friday and was told they didn't get around to arranging a license for the restaurant to open. Booked for Saturday night which started off having to wait to be served whilst the staff dealt with a brawl that needed police to be called in to. The email was fine not great but ok. The night ended with another fight and screaming and yelling late into the night. TV was also not watchable due to reception which may not be able to be helped but just added to the poor experience of everything else. Won't be staying again and would recommend you give this place a miss also.

3.5 out of 5. Okay for a country pub. Staff were friendly and polite and pub is clean. Nice selection of beers available. Food was average, perhaps a bit overpriced for what was provided. Full menu wasn't available, only the selection shown on a blackboard. There are other places in town that offer value and variety, but none of them are as close to the river, park and playground!

Rundown facility, mouldy bathroom. No soap, very poorly appointed. Rude management. Would not stay again

We were a party of 4 for dinner tonight.
We booked our table 2 nights prior.
When we arrived we were told there was a function on and there were many items not available on the menu.
The staff would have known about this function when we booked and the professional way, would have been for them to inform us of this and given us a chance to either book somewhere else, or perhaps come in earlier.
We waited over an hour for our mains.
All four meals were luke warm at best.
The American ribs were not ribs as we know them, were tasteless and not everything was on the plate as described in the menu. I had to go and ask for them.
Presentation was seriously lacking.
For the cost of these meals it was abysmal.

It was a very unpleasant dining experience.
We will not be back.

Bad STAFFS ATTITUDES
DISAPPOINTING with what I had experienced in this hotel. The attitudes from the staff are the WORST ever. They are RUDE, NOT PATIENT and don't keep their words.

NO FANS
Fans should be included in the hotel BUT none of the rooms includes fans. It is their responsibility to provide those for since they said it. Once we asked them, they said they can not do anything about it. Then we saw that they gave fans to someone else instead. So we had to stay in the hotel during the hot summer with no fans.

BAD ROOM CONDITIONS
The rooms were so DUSTY and DULL. The quilts were so ancient and with holes in them. All of the applications were not working. The refrigerators were dead. The TV and network didn't work as well. The bathroom had leaking taps and made such loud noises. After the shower, my eyes felt so itchy and turned red.

These guys cancel our booking at a time. Dont book it. Reception is not good she wanted extra money for booking.
