Cod Rocks reviews
68Great quality at a good price, loved the chips especially. Although it certainly helped that the place was empty (understandably, since it was on a rainy weekday).
My wife and I were looking for somewhere to eat after just arriving in Busselton. We found Cod Rocks fish and chip shop and were invited in by the owner as it had just opened. So glad we did, we chose his recommendation -local shark and squid rings with chips. It was delicious. The batter was light and crispy, the fish was so tasty and the chips cooked to perfection. We would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant when you are next in Busselton.
Me and my partner are usually picky about our food I had a piece of hake and my partner had a hamburger. My fish was amazing! It is hands down the best fish I have ever had and my partners burger was so juicy and not full of chunky gross meat she loved it is very rare for her lol only down side was chips could use a bit more salt but apart from that I have 0 complaints I will deffinantly be coming coming back.
Among the best, if not the best, in the south west. Great menu, more than adequate portions, cooked as f/c should be. Congrats.
Best chips I’ve had in a long time. I really enjoyed the shark and look forward to trying their Fish Burgers next time as they look awesome. Friendly staff and the place is nice and clean.
Had a very nice fish basket today all cooked just right
Sat inside and really enjoyed it ️
Disappointed we were rushed as said closing 8pm was 7.15. They closed early leaving us sitting outside eating and turned lights off on us. Very rude and terrible customer service. Don't recommend at all. Seafood was ok but nothing to write home about.
Great fed of fish and chips. I also tried the oysters and mussels which were perfect. Super friendly staff. Location in the middle of Busselton township. Now under new management.
I was skeptical about coming here at first after reading a few reviews, but regardless I took the chance, and boy am I glad I did! The food was fast, the gentleman at the front was extremely easy to talk to, and the most importantly it tasted amazing! I’m very picky with fish, but my snapper was perfect! I will say one thing though, the tartare sauce was a little strange, although they do have two options for tartare sauce, so maybe I was just unlucky to choose the wrong one, can’t win all the time
Delicious fish and chips - we had grilled snapper - and a very substantial serving size! Really nice young couple own and run the business.
Enjoyed our fish and chips from Cod Rocks. I particularly loved the batter on the fish and a good about of chips. Not a long wait and friendly staff.
Every time we get great service and great snapper and chips.
Make it a dinner date you want be disappointed
We have eaten twice here and loved our snapper and potato scallops, crabsticks and sea scallops. The kiwi guy was awesome great service
Good old fashioned chippy menu it was great. Didn't wait long. All wrapped in paper. Didn't take a picture as we were too keen to get eating we had shark, whiting, sea scallops and chips we chose to have our fish crumbed and it was so yummy and crispy
Nice fish, chips are terrible maybe they need to try the food they sell and price a bit expensive
Pretty dismal. Ordered four fish and chips ($42), which is what I order from my local chippy in Perth and feeds our family of five easily (with left overs). Fish batter was soggy and fish pieces stuck together and chips serving was very small. Fish tasted ok though.
Could do with a face-lift but dining-is not a major item. Fish of whatever type is great. Good serve of excellent chips. For FnC, highly recommended.
Chips were horrifically dry and bland, got five dollars worth which looked like I got five chips worth. They only have one type of sausage, such scarily poor menu variety. Simply overpriced, poor food, being left with sad and poor customers.
Great clean roomy shop with energetic workers. Loved their crumbed Australian material. I'd go again any time we are in Busselton
Absolutely disgusting, this was $59! The fish batter was all over the paper, there was a handful of chips and 3 tiny pieces of fish that were so over cooked like hard rubber with no batter left on them, chips were hard and undercooked what a joke, full of oil, will not go back extremely disappointed, what a waste O money
