Cicerello's Fremantle

Although the food here is pretty expensive, at least for me, its worth it.there is a beautiful scenery of the ocean on both the lower and upper deck

Indoor dining is very noisy and crowded. Outdoor alfresco dining was full. Tables indoors weren't clean.sticky and dirty. The staff clearing tables did not clean them.

The seafood chowder is AMAZING.super tasty. Well worth the cost. Unsure whether we'll return, as it was just so loud.

Visited Freo Cicerello's for an early evening meal. Unfortunately incredibly disappointed and won't return here. The "restaurant" itself was very dirty with unwiped tables grotty glasswear and messy, unserviced bathrooms.
I couldn't find a clean square metre of glass to enjoy the marina views through.
We wanted calamari, whiting and chips to share. When ordering two meal serves of calamari and requesting the addition of whiting, we were advised that we couldn't order the whiting if it wasn't in a meal deal. The staff member didn't advise that we could actually order the whiting meal and get the calamari as an addition. Good customer service would have guided us in ordering to help us with what we wanted without all the extras.
The whiting was very small pieces they were so heavily crumbed that you couldn't actually taste the dry fish. The calamari was tender but very commercially prepared in the same heavy crumb.

Fish and chips were fine, however, cleanliness is an issue. The table was sticky as well as the salt shaker. No-one cleaned any tables whilst we were there. Hug fish tanks however were interesting. Overall the place looked run down. I was disappointed.

Love this place beautiful outside and in especially at summer both my mum and I gone here for years love the old original decore inside hanging up always fresh chips and freshest seafood you can smell it before you even order yummy! Recommend to anyone best place to eat they also serve great coffee ECT staff friendly too

Service was good but food wasn't very nice. Got the seafood tasting plate for $50, asked if everything was freshly cooked and hot as I'm pregnant, they said yes. Chilli mussels were luke warm, the grilled fish was tasteless and it came with cold cooked prawns. One of the chefs kindly cooked 2 prawns fresh for me, but they were tasteless. The half a cray and calamari were good though! Very disappointed as I remember Cicerellos being awesome - not worth the money and unfortunately won't be back

In most cases you can't go wrong with fish and chips, but this place just missed the mark completely.

I've been to cicerellos in Mandurah on several occasions and it's always been good quality food, decent pricing and friendly service.

Fremantle on the other hand had friendly service, small food portions, with a price tag which could be used at your local fish and chip shop to feed your whole family.

The more premium dishes looked good as a mate had chilli mussels but it was nothing special for the $33 price tag.

The view is great though and always love the fish tanks.

Fremantle & Cicerello's go hand in hand and when you think about fish & chips you cant go past Cicerello's.
If only i could score 10 stars. I Would!

Went on Saturday afternoon, had a fantastic dinner with the kiddies and wife. Great location, prompt service - fair pricing.

Always visit Cicerello's when visiting Fremantle its a rite of passage! Simple, easy and delicious food. Thankyou every time.

As a child I used to look forward to going to Fremantle for fish and chips at Cicerellos and eating them at the Esplanade. It was a family outing I always have fond memories of. Well not much has changed over the years. The quality of fish and chips has remained just as high. Always tasty and fresh. The establishment has evolved over the years to become even better than it was. Overall I would describe it as a winner and well worth the visit if you are a connosuer of fine seafood.

The fish tanks are superb. Food is pretty good. Buy from the counter in the traditional chip shop style.

100% amazing fish and chips. Family friendly but you don’t feel like you’re being trampled by kids. Highly recommend the fish and chips and Chowder!

Great place for fish and chips with a decent menu, even the seagulls love it. Drinks are somewhat overpriced, but still worthwhile

If you're an animal lover avoid this place.
Crayfish is kept by the cash register unavoidable to people who are offended by this cruelty.
Fish are swimming in tanks that need cleaning.
The restaurant is in need of renovations

Awful seafood (tastes mushy and like it was bought from woolies) dreadful prices, Okay chips.
Would not recommend to my worst enemy to be honest.
Only nice thing about the place are the fish tanks.

Great seafood chowder, thick and spicy, loaded with tasty seafood of all types, served with fresh bread roll. Traditional fish and chips, 2 x thick juicy fish pieces, hot crunchy chips. Top spot for seafood lunch.

All Time favorites place for fish and chips. Batter is crispy and the fish is perfectly cooked and their seafood chowder is tasty and delicious.

I had a dreadful meal at Cicerellos this evening. I ordered the delux seafood chowder and as I have stomach problems I asked whether there was any chilli in the dish as any chilli makes me ill. The young man who served me assured me there wasn't so I decided to try this new menu item. The dish arrived and there was chilli in it. The half crayfish that was supposed to be in the centre of the dish and pictured on the menu was a large prawn! To make matters worse the basically potato soup was luke warm. Dreadful value for $35. First.the staff member couldn't answer a basic question about what was on the platter. Had to ask 4 times before we got the answer, second the EFTPOS machines weren't working (ok not their fault) and then a 1km round trip walk to find an ATM where we could do a cardless cash withdrawal, then $150 later a really really average meal.
I knew it was a tourist trap but still, how hard is it to cook (allegedly) fresh local seafood well and not rely on filling the plate up with salad to make it look generous.
Never coming back.
