Canteen Pizza reviews
64We had the most delicious dinner here tonight. We walked around sculptures by the sea then had some drinks and food. Scallops, red emporia, potatoes, steak tata, cos lettuce and pizza all were amazing and we felt like we were in another country on holiday for a change. Very happy thank you!
Omg. Run. Don’t walk. Best pizza in Perth. I always have to stop in when I’m in Cottesloe. Fennel sausage on pizza = Delicious.
Delicious pizza which is more on the authentic side. Great location so you can eat in or get takeaway and eat your pizza whilst watching the sunset.
Absolutely AMAZING pizza but the seating was a bit too tightly packed for my comfort level.we were constantly having to shift our chairs so people could get past which was very annoying
Go-to pizza. Legit dough, legit oven, legit mozarella. One of the few places where a nice view doesn't make it a hopelessly sub-par spot. Sides like the brussel sprouts and kingfish were excellent. I was also delighted to see a very nice wine list with some reserve stuff by the glass so you don't have to shell out for a special wine.
Gluten-free (not apt for coeliacs) pizza is homemade and the best one in Perth. The only other pizzeria that comes close is Maruzella in the city, but Canteen's dough is just lighter and more balanced.
Service is tip top and the location makes for the perfect sunny day brunch/lunch spot.
Canteen also has daily Happy Hour after 3pm with Margharita pizza for only $15 and a variety of cocktails and beers for a discounted price.
One place Perthies should be proud of.
The food was great recommend the Porchetta
traditional pork and almond polpette, tomato sugo, pecorino, rosemary
Continue to drive across the city for this - still some of the best pizza in Perth. Gluten free base is magnificent. You wouldn't know it was GF.
Unpleasantly loud in this place. The waiter scoffed and complained that my friends and I had all ordered a pizza each! Not sure what they expect at a pizza joint?
Ordered a half Rustica and half Cheese (and nothing else) pizza as we have a picky eater in the family. When it came it was a full rustica, half of which had cheese on top. We sent it to get changed, or at least acknowledged, and it was put back on the table moments later with no discussion. When paying we told the manager about the order mix up. He said 'yeah we don't do half and half pizzas'. Umm possibly could mention it when the order is taken? Horrible service.
Base is nice and soft. Fresh toppings but the sauce is watery, which pools on top making the toppings slide off.
Perfect napoli style pizza, fantastic wine list that keeps things interesting all year round and the basil panacotta is one of my all time favourite desserts.
It's my first time dine in at Canteen Pizza, the pizza were absolutely amazing.very soft inside, crusty outside.the Margherita pizza so good. Nduja pizza was amazing prosciutto even better.if you like vegetarian pizza Funghi pizza is my recommendation.worth of the price for sharing dine in.
Really enjoyed this place, there’s something for everyone. Nice to see porchetta on the menu, pizza is solid and the service was friendly. Interior was nice without trying too hard. Could have done with some better non alcoholic options to see me through my hangover but that’s a minor point
Decent pizza, huge wait and very busy. Cocktails were also pretty decent and interesting. Definitely worth a visit just be prepared to book a table as getting a seat on a Friday or Saturday will cost you a kidney
Nduja pizza here is delicious as is all of their pizzas. This place is always busy and the food is fantastic. Totally recommend coming here. The garlic bread was pretty good too. Def gonna make my way thru all of their pizzas
Brilliant place to have a good pizza, very solid menu with quality items. The staff are very friendly and helpful when it comes to selection. Plenty of seats, beautiful location - and one of the best tiramisu in town!
Pinot Noir & Pizza.
Booze wizards on the floor.
Amazing dough and proper pizza!
Wifey loves the trout.
Hubby will have all the Coravin goodies one can think of. Orange? Check.
Rare? Check.
Impossible to allocate in WA? Check.
What else could you dream of?
This is a nice place for wine or so it seems after a cold time waiting for the sun set by the Cottesloe beach. It was too cold to walk back to the station so came by to this place for pizza and potatoes, and some alcohol. Underwhelming to be honest, pizza was indeed wet and soggy as the earlier reviews suggest. Service was “meh” (not that good as you can see from the attitude of the ladies on arrival (“oh only high table left”, save for the guy serving me and taking order). More for gatherings of locals in Perth I see. It’s decent but if u r not there for alcohol, I think give it a pass. Disappointing for tourists.
Pizzas were good albeit limited range. They weren't cut properly which meant a bit too much effort to distribute the slices. The major issue was the noise. It was just too loud. One could barely hear the person sitting next to you. Recommend you all cram around a small table. Maybe on the edge helps.we were in the middle.
