Broome Caravan Park reviews
55Nice place with nice amenities, it’s doesn’t matter when the costumer service and management is disrespectful.
Wonderful staff really helpful. Well kept park. Toilets a mix of old and new but kept very clean.
Lovely new management. Upgrading the park in a progressive way. Planned to be there for one night, 9 weeks later we were still there! Great lap pool (25m) attached to a large lagoon pool with waterfall. Only negatives would be a few midges around at full moons, no toilet next to the pool, and there is no bus service or bike path into town.
Booked in today very impressed large double slab sites grass sites plenty of room great amenities dump point laundry and lots of line space pool amazing best we've stayed at since leaving queensland shame we can only stay one night
This is a lovely park. The office staff, Jayne and Deb are a credit to the management. We originally booked for 2 weeks, then extended. Jayne was very helpful and very professional in accommodating our requests. We would hugely recommend this park especially to those with big rigs.
The sites are large, spacious and shaded. You don't feel like you are squished in. The slab sites are the best size slabs we've seen so far. You can park your caravan on the slab and still have more than enough room to roll out your awning over the slab. We thought it was perfect as it meant our daughters could ride safely at our caravan rather than on the roads. The swimming pool huge & clean and it has its own lap pool to the side. The staff were so friendly and happy to deal with. Amenities were modern and clean. Overall we loved our stay. The only thing we wish the park had was a playground or jumping pillow.
Some dusty issues, only because it is so popular. However, nothing else was a problem, facilities and pool were great. Just close enough to all of Broome attractions.
Please read my review & take note that SUMMERSTAR have responded below. But their account of the situation is untrue!
I did visit the park inside otherwise how did I ask for my Refund I noted from the queue we waited in that the park was too full
it was crammed and not regulated as said as I was spoken too by the most obnoxious and aggressive male ‘ manager ‘.
The worst greeting we’ve ever had. No customer service
James Corbitt CEO SUMMERSTAR: - To excel in customer service while providing good quality, affordable accommodation options in unique spots in Western Australia. ”
Lol -
Great statement but we’d suggest you tell that to your so-called ‘ managers’ in Broome. Charlie and?
We think this guy must have been the rudest person we’d ever met. So much so we demanded a refund.
The caravan site was jam packed anyway certainly not a relaxing environment. We’d suggest in the middle of a pandemic far reaching from any type of social distancing measures
8klm drive to everything. Very large park, lots of amenities, courteous, helpful staff. Big pool
TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT
"If you don't like it, go and find somewhere else to stay"
Words spoken directly to my face by the manager lady with the purple hair at the front desk. I only asked a simple question about the check in time.and she bit my head off.
The problem with this park is that they don't need to care about the people staying there, because its totally full all the time.
It was owned privately in the previous years when I've visited and the managers then were wonderful. Now its been bought by Summerstar Caravan Parks, and unfortunately they must have no idea who they have employed to run the park. Broome is busier than ever and all they will be seeing is the money coming in, but hopefully they see this review.
I mean half the staff have left because they could not stand the new management couple, if that's not a sign, I don't know what is.
They are giving Summerstar Caravan Parks a bad name, if you value that id consider employing new management. Just a suggestion.
Plenty of room small and large sites, upgraded ablution blocks with plenty of hot showers and toilets. Dusty but close to both town and Cable beach. Lovely pool.
Terrible Managers.
We were booked in for 2 weeks but left early as the managers seemed to do everything to make us feel like were not welcome. From the first moment of checking in the lady manager was so rude to us, just refusing to answer any questions we had because she was "too busy".
So we asked the other manager, a Bald guy with tattoos, he said he we would have to ask her as "she's the boss" when we told him we tried to ask her, he just shrugged his shoulders and walked off saying "I'm not going to argue with you". We both were left sitting there totally confused and just with bad energy, so we decided to leave a few days early, the extra money wasn't worth the bad vibes that this place gives you.
Everything you really need RE facilities. Lots of campers crammed in. Lots of overflow set up, probably needs better signing. Otherwise no issues. Worth checking the Broome raceway to see when a show is on, wowzer. Its like. I'm at the races.except it's night and im trying to sleep. Unfortunate! But otherwise, friendly staff and does the job.
Love this park, great sites and friendly helpful staff. We come each year for average of 10 weeks. Lots getting done here like new fencing and security gates at rear of park and gardens looking lovely. Looking forward to our next year's visit.
Whoever employed the people that are running this caravan park, they should seriously reconsider their decision. We were denied entry by the manager because she didn’t like the idea of us living in a tent. We were told that we would make the park look too dirty with our gazebo and tents. Apparently you need a $100,000 caravan to be welcomed here. Discrimination at its worst…
