They’re cheap but that’s because the fleet is a bit older - our car - a Nissan XTrail - had scratches and dings all over it. The entry to the office isn’t really suitcase-friendly - sandy gravel - nor is the step into the office! The pickup service was ok but the drop off service was pretty much “thanks for the key you’ll get your $500 holding fee back in about 5 days”.

So good. Great 4x4 rental which is a must here, and they offer a free beach pack which is perfect for sunsets on the beach.

Those guys have saved our holidays. In 24 hours after a another company canceled our booking only 2 days before arriving in Broome.they have found for us a 4WD for 5 people and equipped it with all we needed! The team is incredible and very available for answering all questions. Our trip was just great and thank to their adviceswe have discovered Broome and the Kimberly and we enjoyed our time here. We highly recommend this 100% trustable company and look forward to come back!

BUYER BEWARE

They charge by the day and for the full period of the rental up front. This means if your flight dates change or for whatever reason you need to start your trip late or end early - you will be liable and there is absolutely no leniency.

My partner and I travelled to Broome for a week recently. We understood it was the wet season but didn’t expect for ALL the roads with beach access to be closed. Shame we weren’t made aware of this beforehand by the LOCAL staff at Broome Broome Car Rentals who happily signed us up to a six day rental agreement!

So after a frustrating day of unsuccessfully getting to a beach, we decided to cut our losses and high tail it down to Perth. When we returned to Broome Broome Car Rentals, they refused to reimburse us for the remaining 5 days of the contract. Technically, they had the right to do it. They pointed out the clause buried on their website which is hyperlinked in the contract we signed. We just felt it was a heartless move on the part of this business. They wouldn’t even offer us credit to use the remaining time if we returned for a future visit. We just feel cheated and robbed to be honest. Lesson learned.

All this said, if we ever do ever return - we will not be giving our business to Broome Broome Car Rentals. Their policies are not transparent and their customer service is unsympathetic, cunning and merciless!: (

We will return to Broome. It’s an amazing, beautiful place. We will be hiring a car from one of the highly rated local businesses below. I encourage people reading this to consider doing the same.

NEVER AGAIN

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from Broome Broome Car Rentals. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to leave Broome five days early and called the company to see if there was anything they could do to accommodate my situation, such as offering a refund or alternative arrangement. However, the company informed me that they have a strict no refund policy and did not offer any alternatives. The manager I spoke to seemed disinterested and unwilling to help.
I was not made aware of this no refund policy when I initially rented the car and it was only mentioned in a hyperlink within the rental contract. In the future, I will not be using this car rental company or staying at their affiliated hotel, The Billi Hotel, due to their rude and unsympathetic customer service. From reading reviews on other forums, it seems that many others have had similar experiences with this business. I recommend that anyone considering using this company in the future be aware of the potential for poor customer service and the lack of flexibility when it comes to weather-related issues. It would have been much appreciated if the staff had been upfront about the risks of renting a car during the wet season and offered some guidance on how to make a better financial decision, such as only renting a car for a shorter period of time.

Beware of hiring through this company at all costs. They have cheaper rentals than most but make it near impossible to get your bond back. They tell you that they will return it once they have looked at the car and wait until you are no longer in Broome to not return your money. Major headaches of back and forth emails dealing with extremely rude staff to try and get what you are owed back making you prove bank statements of payment claiming they have returned it already.

Really helpful staff. Picked us up at our hotel, rented us a Suzuki Jiminy at a great price for the day (more than $100 less than rivals) and the car was in great order. Dropped us back to our hotel when we returned the car. Couldn't have been happier with their operation.

Great service at a fraction of the National rental firm prices & walking distance from the airport terminal for easy drop off.

We hired a 4wd through Broome Broome Car Rentals and had a wonderful experience. I spoke to the staff several times and they were always so helpful and friendly. The car was almost new and the kids car seats we hired were also in immaculate condition. We would definitely use them again!
