Barnyard1978 Food Wine Honey Store reviews
61Surprisingly beautiful spot for a restaurant. Good staff and great service. The weather on the day we visited was nice and the design of the building allowed for breezes to pass through the entire restaurant. For something a little unique you can wine taste and honey taste while waiting for the delicious pasta to be made. If your a foody, you can even w atch the chefs prepare your meals through the large window adjacent to the kitchen.
+ Great venue location with natural lighting, surrounded by nature
+ Great for gifts and tasting
+ Friends thoroughly enjoyed their dishes, especially the duck and salmon
- I did not enjoy the Kasundi egg scramble unfortunately
- GF bread not to my liking
- Not open for dinner
Overall, I would recommend and revisit to try other options on their menu.
Great stop for a relaxing lunch. Food was fantastic, nice modern structure, set in a farm, with some querky art! Short walk to lavender shop too.
Yummiest breakfast for my 40th bday, everything was perfect. Will be back to The Barnyard for sure
It was beautiful to sit on the verandah near the grape vines and enjoying a delicious brekky.
Staff are wonderful and food was great (really great poached eggs!)
Definitely book as it gets busy here!
Thanks for the great coffee in particularly nice cups and the company friendly service. We wanted local honey and we're spoiled for choice.
Extremely disappointed. The lady at the till was very rude and obnoxious.
We went in with high hopes given the lovely location, however we were told they were fully booked and were refused a table in the non-reserved area outside. A pair behind us who had also not booked were promptly given a table.
Great food, great service, great location!
The location on caves road is perfect for a weekend lunch. Top quality meals served on a great deck overlooking the vineyard. Lamb ribs a must, so too the squid entree!
Plenty of things to keep kids young and old occupied including a playground, baby chicks and creative sculptures from a local artist.
Wine tasting is also available. The staff were amazing and catered well to kids. Really laid back atmosphere, highly recommended.
Sad to say but our experience here was very poor. The lady at the till was rather abrupt and rude. We enquired from her where we could buy cheese in the area. She said the wine farms sell wine not cheese. In the mean time Yallingup cheese factory was just down the road. Not a good experience at all and definately not helpful. Not recommended at all.
The best restaurant I have visited in WA. Amazing customer service with the loveliest staff and hands-down the most delicious food. The owners were extremely welcoming and nice. Good atmosphere. Beautiful outdoor area where kids can play. Amazing scenery. Do not have any better words to describe this place other than just excellent. Thank you!
Found this place while holidaying in WA. Great relaxed atmosphere. Best pasta dishes we’ve had in a long time. Thumbs up from parents and kids. Highly recommended!
Outstanding lunch in Peaceful Setting. Cant recommend the place enough. Excellent service, really outstanding food, what is not to like aboutthis venue. Highly reccommended.
Enjoyed an lovely breakfast with friends. Wife had the mushrooms and I had the beef.
Yum!
Will go back when the opportunity arises to continue to try the whole menu.
Pop in for brunch as it was recommended. The food and view was awesome and there was a playground for the kids to run around while you enjoy the food and wine. They even have honey tasting up to 10 different types along with wines and craft beer to try as well.
Really yummy food
Wait staff polite and efficient
Didn’t have to wait at all really
Two thumbs up well done
Couldn't fault Barnyard1978. Amazing food 10/10 all the way around. Incredible service aswell. Wine was great, atmosphere perfect. Definitely worth stopping in. Thanks for a great experience.
I wasn’t really impressed with the lack of vegetarian options on the menu. I ordered the gnocchi and had the pancetta removed but the taste all round was quite bland. Definitely order the bread - the dips and bread are amazing!
Highly recommend this great spot. We had breakfast, everyone was really happy with the food and coffee. Highlight was the own brand Mimosa.
Popped in for lunch whilst driving around sight seeing. Eclectic menu options with interesting options. Mostly pasta orientated meals - gnocchi, linguine and spaghetti options. Food was tasty, fresh and well served. We had a bottle of SSB to share which was really good too! The venue welcomes your loving pets too, which I love to see!
Just finished lunch at Barnyard 1978. Had the Artichoke and Ravioli and the Squid Ink pasta. I have never had better pasta in my life. All made on site by a chef that clearly knows what he's doing. The staff here are so wonderful as well. 10/10 will eat here again!
