Balingup Heights Hilltop Forest Cottages

We have stayed here several times before and wouldn't hesitate to do again. The views are stunning and the hosts are very friendly and accommodating. The morning animal feeding is great with Deb and Brian being very on hand to help encourage and entertain the children during. The accommodation is also amazing and catered to all seasons

We visited Balingup Heights in 2018 and loved it, managed to book the same beautiful 2 bedroom cottage again in 2020. It's an absolutely stunning location high up amongst the forest and everything is above and beyond, you feel like you're staying in someone's home. Everyone loves the animal feeding and the views from every window! So many nice places to visit nearby and so close to perth. We'll definitely be back again

We enjoyed our stay in Misty View cottage so much we could have stayed a few more days. It was fun learning how to get the fire going, and the breakfast hamper lasted us the whole trip. The hosts are lovely but also respect your privacy, except for the dog Maddi who came up for a cuddle whenever we drove in the gate (she is adorable). The clincher was the view across the valley, which even in the rainy weather we had was relaxing and beautiful. The cottage welcome booklet also includes a list of rainy day activities and the kitchen has all you need for cooking a winter casserole. It's only a few minutes from Balingup centre but you feel like you are in The Shire from Lord of the Rings. We would definitely stay here again.

We have just returned from our second stay here at Red Gum cottage. It is the most beautiful and serene place with brilliant hospitality. The kids loved feeding the animals, exploring the secret garden and visiting the lookout. The lookout is magical at all times of the day. Sunrise and misty mornings, sunset and star gazing at night time. This is the perfect place to unwind and relax and make beautiful memories.

Fabulous place with wonderful owners, a great place to relax amongst the trees. Cabins are great and secluded and the kids loved feeding the animals. Nothing is too much trouble for Brian and Deb and they make you feel very welcome. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay I would highly recommend Balingup Heights Hilltop Cottages.

This is a lovely location for an easy reach from Perth and very relaxing weekend (or anytime). The views are fabulous from all round the property, the cottages cosy and comfortable and hosts Deb and Brian so welcoming and friendly. Well worth a winter break.

Our family loved everything about our stay. Our cabin was clean and comfortable with all the facilities we needed.
Deb and Brian were so friendly and patient with my daughter when feeding the animals and were approachable for anything we needed. Our cabin offered so much privacy with the opportunity to interact with others when and if we wanted to.
We will be returning next year and hopefully many more after that.

So wonderful. Cant fault the hospitality or the cottages. The views are just as beautiful as the pictures you see. I will definitely be back:)

I recently stayed at Balingup Heights for 2 nights and I would highly recommend to anyone travelling through this area. We stayed in Gumnut cottage which had everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The wood fire was fantastic and kept us very warm at night. The property looks over the town of Balingup and the views are exceptional! I will definitely be back!

Beautiful cottages in a scenic location. Deb and Brian were very accommodating, helping us find a nice part of the Bibbulman track to walk and dropping us at the starting point.

The fire was setup and ready to light as we arrived which was a nice touch! Highly recommended.

An amazing hidden gem in the south west. Balingup Heights hosted our wedding ceremony on a glorious spring day & we could not have been more pleased with the venue or the vista.
Deb & Brian are wonderful hosts and this little hide-away at the top of the world is a fantastic point from which to explore the Blackwood Valley and all it's delights.
You won't be disappointed!

Excellent in every way for a farm stay. Cabin was very clean and well appointed, with wood fire pot-belly yet still had modern fittings.

Deb and Brian were really great hosts, and the kids loved the animals. Would recommend. A real find and new favourite.

We stayed at the Hepton Hill cottage. We are a family with two small children. We had an incredible time there. The cottage had all the facilities that you might need, it was well kept and very cosy.
The kids enjoyed feeding the animal every morning with Deb and roaming freely around the forest.
Deb and Brian are a great host, very helpful and welcoming.
I couldn't highly recommend it enough.

Absolutely beautiful! Deb & Brian (and Maddie) are wonderful hosts. Our cabin was amazing. Loved that there were horses, sheep, a llama, rabbits, chickens etc on the property. Great getaway not too far away from Perth.

A cosy cottage with wood fire, really comfy bed, great facilities and the view from the top of the hill overlooking all of Balingup was AMAZING. Thanks Deb and Brian for a lovely weekend away minus children although I felt a little guilty not bringing them as they would've loved the experience too, especially all the animals on the property.

We enjoyed our stay there and my 5 year old daughter especially enjoyed feeding the guinea pig. The views were beautiful and very peaceful.

We all had an amazing time staying at your lovely Redgum Cottage. Views are spectacular and we just love all of your animals, especially Maddie who paid us quite a few visits:) Thankyou so much Deb and Brian for being so welcoming and we will most definately be returning again:)
