Balingup Heights Hilltop Forest Cottages reviews
59 My partner and I stayed in the Bythe Cottage, this is such a beautiful breathtaking experience, the cabin was spotless clean. We had so much fun feeding the farm animals and hiking around the areas.
The Misty sunrise mornings and sunset nights on the very top of Balingup heights is so gorgeous and now one of my favourite spots, will definitely be coming back.
Excellent service, everything you need to have a relaxing break. The views are amazing, we had misty, rainy weather and enjoyed relaxing in front of the fireplace.
My wife and I came down for 3 nights rest, and celebrate our birthdays as life had been pretty busy.
It is such a beautiful spot to come and do very little or a lot.
The views and the walks in the forrest are enough in itself.
Cabins are comfortable and well equipped.
Great to have the pot belly warm the place - nothing like watching the flames to relax you.
Would certainly recommend.
A great place for a secluded get away while close to everything the Balingup and nearby towns have to offer. Cottages cleverly designed for comfort functionality and an away from home experience. Brilliant. Highly recommended.
We absolutely loved every aspect of our stay. The cottages were perfect for a family of 4 (and can accommodate an extra child easily too). They were kitted out with everything we needed. There is only a few cottages on the property and they were all a nice distance away from each other, so you mostly felt you had the place to yourself. And what a view! It was wet and cold during our stay, and the cottage was easy to warm up either with the fire or the reverse cycle AC. The kids (7yo and 9yo) played endlessly outside, rain or shine, and loved the animal feeding every morning. They also had a ball picking persimmons and chestnuts (and eating them both too)! Balingup itself is a great little town, and you're not far away from many day trips. Lastly, Brian and Deb were amazing hosts.
Last weekend we had the pleasure of staying at Balingup Heights Hilltop Forest Cottages with another couple, and cannot express enough how truly wonderful the experience was. From the breathtaking views to the cosy accommodation and wandering farm animals, every aspect of our stay was simply perfect.
Let's start with the the views - wow! Nestled amidst rolling hills and lush green forest, the panoramic vistas from each cottage were nothing short of spectacular. Waking up to such a mesmerising sight each morning was a treat for the soul. We spent hours just gazing out at the beauty, feeling completely at peace and in awe of nature's grandeur.and so wonderful to see so many stars at night.
The cottage accommodation was absolutely charming. The pot belly stove exuded warmth and comfort, with every detail carefully thought out to ensure a delightful stay. The breakfast hamper was more than ample and the cottage included a slow cooker, so it was wonderful to put dinner on in the morning and come back to warm soul food after hours exploring Balingup and its surrounds. Everything was immaculately clean and well-maintained, making us feel immediately right at home.
Thank you Deb and Brian (and Maddie the dog) for such a memorable stay - we will be back!
Absolute beauty of a cottage, we had the best time staying here. The cottage was so cosy and beautiful. The lovely handwritten note and chocolate gift from Deb and Brian to welcome and congratulate us was such a kind and beautiful surprise. We also love waking up each morning to the stunning fog and view, and the fireplace was so perfect to warm up each night. The cottage had everything we needed to use and more. It was truly so peaceful and the perfect place to spend quality time together. Thank you
This place is beyond incredible and more than we ever expected! My partner and I booked this place for our 2 year anniversary. Deb, Brian and allllll their animals were so welcoming and it was great to spend every morning with them feeding and learning, we don’t have kids but if you do this will be amazing for them just as much as it is for the adults. The cottage was beautiful and the views were breathtaking. Since we’ve been home we’ve been eager to get back which we will definitely do one day with some of our extended family because we know they’ll love it too. It was cold but we actually think it was the best season to come, the misty morning over the valley, the fireplace and the winter sun was perfect and didn’t change a thing! Even when it’s cold and raining you can still get out and explore! We would recommend going down the road to the Mushroom cafe for the BEST PIES EVER! And i’m picky, but their pies and shakes we sooo good! The breakfast hamper in the cottage and the fridge had everything we needed, normally you have to go shopping before you stay somewhere but not here, you can get extras at the local shop it’s not overpriced like some places we’ve been to on holiday. You also get fresh eggs in the morning if the hens have laid any! Maddy was the star of the farm I must say, very sweet and looooved the attention!
Just spent the most amazing weekend with our 8 year old at Balingup Heights, perfect winter family getaway. Deb and Brian go out of their way to ensure their guests have a wonderful experience, the animals were so much fun to feed and the accommodation is peaceful and cosy. We will definitely be back!
Our second holiday at balingup heights and once again it did not disappoint! We were lucky enough to get different weather types during our stay with a beautiful sun rise on our last day! Our young children were delighted with the animals on the farm and being able to interact and feed them made their days. It is well looked after by the kind owners and we look forward to enjoying the beauty of balingup from the wonderful cabins in future years.
Just got back from an amazing stay at Balingup Heights Hilltop Forest Cottages! The views were breathtaking and the cottage was cozy and comfortable. If you're looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and relax in the midst of nature, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommended!
A great little get away to relax and unwind. Deb and Brian were so accomodating and our toddler loved feeding the animals each morning. Thank you.
A wonderful nature retreat from city life just a small car ride from Perth CBD.
If you yearn the simple pleasures of sunrises, morning mists, sunsets, afternoon breezes, grand old trees and delightful vistas accompanied by bird choirs this is for you.
Mother Nature's immersions are only enhanced by the sweet, charming and super clean comfy cottages on the top of the hill.
The best rejuvenating hug when you need it. Every time we've visited, we don't want to leave. Highly recommend!
Absolutely perfect! The views are stunning, the serenity is soul restoring and the service is impeccable.
Deb and Brian have thought of every detail and are so welcoming and generous.
Other than for a short walk around the property, I never felt the need to leave my beautiful cottage.
I can't wait to return!
Most beautiful place to stay. Owners are so welcoming and so lovely.not only do you just stay there but you get to feed their horses, sheep, Llama, guinea pigs and chickens in the morning. Highly recommend staying there. If you have young kids, take them down they'll have a blast
My partner and I just spent two nights here in the Kimba Cottage and absolutely loved it. Quiet, scenic, homely and so relaxing. Owners are so welcoming and helpful.
Cottages aren't sitting on top of each other like most places. You have your own temporary little slice of heaven.
Loved having their friendly fur-baby Maddi visit us every day.
To Deb and Brian, thank you for having us! We will be back again (with our children next time). Till next time!

Beautiful location and accommodation. Great attention to detail and warm friendly welcome. Will definitely come back.
We loved our trip on the farm. Me & my friend's family visited, thoroughly enjoyed the mist climate, amazing photographs. Our cottage was cosy and comfortable. The owners (Deb & Brian) were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Feeding the animals each morning was a highlight for our kids and feeding a Guinea pigs will be a cherished memory to my daughter, Maddy (Owner's pet dog) became close friend to my son. We back to home with loads of memories. Highly recommend this for families but would great for couples too.
Exquisite views, peaceful tranquility and above all excellent and homely cottage. We had a wonderful time and recommended this to everyone for a getaway you will never forget! Thanks Deb & Brian!
After being warmly welcomed we were amazed at the cottage (Kimba). The food basket was splendid and the views to die for. Will be recommending this place to all our friends
