Me and my partner stayed at the Gumnut Cottage and it was even better than the photos! Beautiful wooden interior, with a cozy (stocked up) wood fire and a huge window looking out onto a private patch of forest. The entire property is simply stunning, with spectacular views from its soaring vantage point, and picturesque bush-land strolls.
Well equipped kitchen, comfortable living area and a great, hot shower to boot! Perfect for a romantic winter get-away. We will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Balingup Heights. Our first visit was a romantic getaway and our recent visit as a new family. We were embraced by the warm, cosy family-run & family-friendly environment that is so unique to this place. We especially enjoyed having our little one feed the animals breakfast after a misty unforgettable sunrise.

We went with our 4yo boy for the Easter holiday and we had an amazing experience! The cabin is cozy, clean, and we could spend great family time together outside in the balcony - views are just peaceful and spectacular! Every morning, Bryan and Deb guided us on an animal feeding session with others guests, and we interacted with the horses, sheep and a Lhama that live onsite. This is the perfect spot for a farm stay, lots of fun! Bryan and Deb are so kind which made everything better! My son still talks about “Bryan the farmer”:) It is a magical place indeed!

Highly recommended. We were greeted by breathtaking views as we drove to the top of the hill. We love how the cottages are secluded in a beautiful forest setting offering privacy in a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The fireplace provided warmth in the cold weather.

Deb and Brian are great hosts. They are friendly helping us with re-booking and making sure we get 2 suitable cottages for our group of family and friends - Hepton Hill and Gum Nut. They provided a lot information and promoted Balingup and local businesses.

What a great Sept 2021 long weekend that was

We enjoyed a short, family getaway & couldn't recommend this home away from home more! Deb & Brian are outstanding hosts, with every last detail for a most enjoyable stay carefully thought of. We appreciated the cottages being secluded in the wilderness, each offering utmost privacy & a unique outlook with the most incredible views. Everything we could possibly need was available in our cottage, and so much more. The cleanliness of the cottage was exceptional & our breakfast hamper inclusion was an absolute feast filled with an incredible variety of goodies, enough to feed an army! We were most grateful for the opportunity to feed & interact with the farm animals as well as the simple pleasures of walking the grounds to appreciate the location and views of this special place.

Third time staying at Balingup Heights. Even though we stayed at different seasons, every season has its own treasures.

Stayed in Gum Nut Cottage earlier this week with family. Deb, Brian and Maddy made us very welcome. Everything was thought of to make our stay comfortable and warm.
The picture window gave us the feeling that we were sitting out under the trees. Maddy knew exactly when to turn up for bacon and egg scraps. Would not hesitate to recommend this lovely place.

Me and my wife sayed in Hepton Hill cottage with our 2 small children (4 and 2). There was plenty or room and miraculously the kids loved sharing a room so we got the second bedroom to our selves. We booked Hepton as there was also an extra single bed in our room so if the kids sharing didn't work out we could put the little one in with us.

The Golden Valley tree park colours where spectacular this time of year. Highly recommend.

Loved sitting out looking out over the valley on an evening drinking some scrumpy cider we bought from a visit to the Bridgetown cidery.

The kids couldn't wait to get up every morning to feed the animals. Even in the absolute pouring rain. They were pros by the end of our stay. Was really good to collect fresh eggs each day and then go back to the cottage and cook them for breakfast.

Would like to say a big thankyou to Brian and Deb for making the stay so enjoyable and being so good with the kids.

We will definitely be returning on the future.

Magical, peaceful and relaxing stay. What a haven in this pandemic time.
Our first visit to this wonderful cottage. Delightful views, cosy timber cottage, stunning landscape.just wow!
Thank you Deb and Brian for making our stay so relaxing, everything has been prefect. We love everything, from morning animal feeding, just walking around the property particularly at the "secret garden" to just sitting and feeling the tranquility of nature at the scenic lookout. Simply amazing!

Stunningly beautiful location and surrounds. Deb and Brian are some of the nicest people you could meet, they can't do enough for you and are very welcoming hosts. Fantastic with the kids at animal feeding time too with lots of enthusiasm and patience for questions. The cottages are lovely and cosy with large decks overlooking the surrounds. They are also spaced across the property so you feel like you could be the only ones there. Can't wait to return next year!

Nature is the absolute peaceful serenity at this absolute beautiful hide away ️ Slice of Heaven ️
My newly wife and myself had 3 nights booked. The first day/night we decided to try and stay another day if it was possible. Deb and Brian managed to fit us in for the extra night. We are so grateful to spend another night in this beautiful getaway. The views are spectacular.
On arrival we had a gourmet hamper with fresh farm eggs waiting for us it was a lovely surprise. Waking up with mist and sun shining through the mist is breathtaking. Listening to the cows and the birds is just so peaceful! You feel you are the only ones staying at Balingup Heights. Maddy is just gorgeous she comes and goes we enjoy her popping in lovely girl she is. We will definitely be back and cannot wait for our next getaway.

Thank you so much Deb & Brian

This place is really the perfect cottage. The service and quality was absolutely exquisite and I love the cute dog Maddy. I also like the fact that you give the children a chance to pet and feed your various animals. There are sheep, llamas, horses, guinea pigs and roosters. We were at Hepton hill. A perfect view and so close to the morning mist lookout.it was spectacular. We'll definitely come back to this spectacular place. You catered to our every need. The best place I've been for natural holiday by far. P. S: what breed is maddy?
