Zambrero South Yarra reviews
59Literally the best buritto I've had in my life. If I did anything as well as the server made that buritto I'd retired on a yacht somewhere
When paying 15$ for nachos I expect more than 5 jalapeños. When I submitted and paid the extra 50 cents I was given a further 4. This is unacceptable service for the cost
Not sure why the store name is different to the board outside "Triq bar"
I bought a breaky Rolle (bacon and egg, eggs fried), Paid 11.00. Honestly felt it was a bit too much for a breaky Rolle.
Have to say the service was too quality and the coffee looked great, I'll be going in for their coffee some time soon, so may be I can comment on that when I do.
Staff was very helpful and the place looked super new and clean.
Very expensive burrito for the very little you get. Extra charges for every little thing is a bit of a joke considering the high cost. Had been told great things but I was disappointed with it.
I love the vegetarian burrito here. Always fresh ingredients and friendly staff.
I also appreciate Zambrero's 'Plate 4 Plate' charity, providing meals for those less fortunate. Highly recommended!
Food was fine although not great. Portion size is embarrassing though. If you like normal portion size or a lot of food or come here very hungry expect to order double. The price for what you get is definitely not worth it
Always love the food here usually have the bowls and they are delicious. Friendly staff and great food made quick and easy.
Always loved it. Amazing food. Things have changed a lot, they charged me for some extra onions and said I can only have one sauce so also charged me extra for 2nd sauce. I have been to many other stores in Melbourne and in Adelaide but never got charged for 2nd sauce or extra onions.
Was not happy with that.
I've never liked Zambrero, I think their food is plain and overpiced. I gave them a 3rd chance today and ordered a Vegan Burrito. It was just white rice and lettuce wrapped in a tortilla with a bit of Guacamole. I found a few corn kernels, a couple of onions and maybe 3 pieces of chopped tomatoes? The tortilla had something that looked like a light beans spread. So so so sad. That's the saddest burrito I have ever eaten.
One of the worst Zambrero’s I have been too. Staff are extremely slow, have no customer service skills and overcharged me for a tiny, half filled chikito. When I asked about why I was charged extra for a tiny line of bbq sauce (has never happened in the 4 years I have been going to Zambrero) both the employee and manager gave me dirty looks. Not to mention the taste and quality of the food was abysmal. I would definitely NOT recommend wasting your money on their food. Grotty.
I have had zambrero burritos at Glenferrie road for 4 years! I have had it at other places too. I’ll rate the qty they stuff as the worst. They charge for every small thing extra and I would never go back. Malvern branch always gave two sauces and heaps of beans for the basic price. I’m thinking of switching to other Mexican franchise like Guzman.
Some of the best Burritos I've had in Melbourne. And their Charity (Plate 4 Plate) is very helpful too. Keep up the good work guys.
I’ve been to zambies all around the country and literally this is the worst Zambrero ever! Rude lady manager that waters down sauces, skimps on extras and watches like a hawk when the staff are trying to do there job. No wonder they look like they hate there job. No hello or goodbye and argued with me when they got my order wrong in the till. Never going back and if I could give less then 1 star I would!
We decided to go to this restaurant as we were around the area and trusted that will have some chain food standards, but we were completely dissapointed.
The service was absolutely awful. The workers were yelling each other. In addition they could hardly notice us when we wanted something (water, more beer, the bill etc.). The weiter that seemed the owner was not friendly at all and as about her, she had an unpleasant looking on everyone all the time.
Finally, all plates did not seem well washed.
Staff are amazing and love the food! The chapel street zambreros is further from my house than others, however they always have super fresh produce and service is 10/10 every time!
It's a chain so the food is tasty, but not outstanding. Way better than a Guzmen burrito. Portion sizes are good and I would say value for money is decent. The staff are generally good
Portion size was TERRIBLE compared to all other sombreros I've been to (Malvern, Melb Uni, many in Adelaide). The other places normally overload the burritos.
Terrible service. We didn't receive part of our home delivery order and the outlet said the item didn't come with what we ordered - however, it's clearly there on the menu. They said to ring Uber - blamed Uber. Not Uber's fault.
Blatant liers. Disgrace.
Won't EVER order from Zambrero South Yarra again.
It is my favorite mexican restaurant at South Yarra. Can't get tired of their nachos and tacos. I find it to be a little bit pricy, but it is worth it! Besides, the location is very good: at Chapel St, near bus and tram stops. It is a fast food restaurant, so you get your food very quick!
