Zambrero South Yarra reviews
59The taste is average, but it was the most sad, deflated burrito I've ever eaten in my entire life
Terrible. They must pre prepare their food. Purchased takeaway and it’s freezing cold, like it’s just out of the fridge. Called them to discuss and they hung up on me.
I ordered a chicken burrito and what I received was not anything that resembled chicken.or any other kind of meat in fact, like someone else stated it was like eating dog food. The mystery meat that was filling my burrito was like soggy grainy cheap dog chum. I honestly have no idea what was in my burrito and I'm scared to find out. Why anyone thought that was okay to serve to a customer is beyond me.
Extremely disappointed with the quality of this store now. When they first started they were excellent and fresh.
Now they are extremely over priced, food does not look fresh and has gone extremely down hill fast.
It actually feels and looks like I am eatting dog food
Very disappointing, overpriced. Ice cold cheese and salad. Not many jalepenos which you have to add on. Mostly lettuce. Will not order again.
Honestly the worst mexican I’ve ever had. The “vegetarian” taco consisted of only sour cream and a bit of salsa. Guacamole very sweet as if it had sugar in it. And possibly curry powder in the chicken burrito? All in all a very strange and unpleasant meal. Avoid.
I love the Zambrero's burritoes. The quality/quantity is perfect and is consistent across all their stores. Super delicious!
Cant get enough of zambrero, but the prices are too high in my opion. $2 for guac seems a bit far fetched.
I am such a fan of Zambreros and I absolutely love going to different ones! The food here was delicious as Zambreros always is. I got the chicken burrito bowl with sour cream and garlic sauce and DAMN if it wasn't the freshest, most ethical, tastiest thing I had eaten all day!
They didn't have the "buy ten, get one free" cards, which was really sad as I had just run out of mine.
They offer white rice and beans and if you want brown rice or black beans, it's extra. I felt sick within half an hour of having a bowl here. Nothing as good as Guzman or other franchise Mexicans.
Really good, present staff who know how to make a tasty burrito and don't stinge on the extras. Will be back!
Great place to eat, try burrito and it will fill your tummy. Healthy food options available. Parking can be a issue if going in peak time
Not only was this $14.40 it was so tiny i was still left hungry and went across the road to get a pizza slice.the portion was so tiny, when she used the scooper i thought it was going to be 3 scoops but noooope.ugh, really regretting not going to dumplings or something to get a whole meal for the same price.bye.
Found a sharp piece of plastic in my burrito. All three burritos ordered also did not include beans as stated. Deliveroo are currently investigating. Could have ended up in a very dangerous situation had I not noticed the sharp plastic! Not worth ordering from here.
Good and healthy food, but leaving hungry. Smallest guac bowl, even with extra filling and guac. Vs Guzman and many others.
Very less amount of salad and everything. I asked for vegetarian ones I am hardly getting little amount of salad and rice. In addition to that, they were putting sour cream and avocado with spoons which is not according to standard. It has to b scoop instead of spoon. Very disappointed by your service will never come back there.
Great food. Also Zambrero in Wangaratta and loved it first time I was there. Variety of foods on the menu. Nachos are good. Meat is a bit spicy ish so maybe have a drink with you if you’re no fan. Anyway love it every time in Wangaratta as I don’t go south Yarra much️️
I'm giving this 4 stars because generally, I like this food. It's a weird fusion between Indian and Mexican food.
Areas they could improve are generally around customer service and training of the staff. They're supposed to give me a 10% discount for holding a gym membership, but only half the staff members actually let me do this.
Portion sizes are a little small for me, but none of my friends have complained so maybe it's just me. I often end up eating 2 meals here.
Absolutely loved the portion size and service. Much better than unimelb and caulfield Zambreros!
