Yuni's Kitchen reviews
54Amazing authentic food! Transports one to Indonesia - everything was fresh & the sambal was proper; nice & hot!
Fantastic gem - a little hidden away, but the most authentic indo food I've had since I used to live in Jakarta. Great value amazing taste!
I never post reviews, but I have to for this place. I'm a foody and I've been living in Melbourne for nearly 4 years now. Yunis is by far the best place I've eaten. I go here at every chance I get and feel so very happy and contently full after I leave. I adore the staff, very friendly and casual. Indonesian has definitely taken the lead in my list of favourite cuisines. Thanks yunis for being an easy choice, every time.
A bit pricey. But we are very happy with the quality of the food. We had Indonesian laksa, nasi bakar and nasi campur. Absolutely delicious and authentic. The restaurant is 'hiding' next to the church, it was quiet when we were there for Saturday lunch. Happy to recommend.
Where am I? The backstreets of a hawker market in Jakarta or Northcote Victoria I honestly can't tell. Delicious and fresh food with great vegan and vegetarian options.
Whilst the food was certainly delicious (the satay was outstanding though it lacked the correct traditional condiments), I thought it was way overpriced. For example, the laksa with prawns cost $21 whereas a comparable bowl at Laksa King is $16 (25% cheaper) the latter also being more delicious. The venue was small and cramped and the service was not particularly impressive with the owner not particularly accomodating towards the two toddlers we happened to bring along.
Hidden gem. Had dinner here with a girlfriend and loved it. Quick and tasty with wonderful friendly service.
Wow, talk about a flavor explosion! I had the Vegetable Luksa. So delicious and affordable too!
Always a favourite for a delicious and authentic dining experience. Have been several times now that I'm in the area and am always pleased with the food and service from the lovely staff.
It's a highly competitive dining precinct and Yuni's Kitchen is a hidden gem amongst the many on High Street. I definitely can't recommend them enough and wish the family-owned venture the very best into the future!
A quiet, cute spot, nestled away from the bustle of high street. Some beautiful trees surround the outdoors as you're treated to a tastebud sensation. Fresh, clean and great vegan and vego options. Keen to come back
Little restaurant beside the church. Really nice food and perfect for Indonesian’s if they lived in Melbourne.
Food excellent. Little bit pricey. $20 for a main.but thats Northcote. Waiter was a little bit austere, clearly he is an aquired taste.
This hidden Indonesian gem is literally hidden tucked away behind a church on High St. They served a number of of Indonesian dishes influenced by Balinese culture. Admittedly the food is not cheap but they are executed well. We ordered nasi campur and nasi bakar. The small dishes have their own unique flavour that when combined together creates this perfect harmonious meal.
