Dined last night with friends and had excellent service, great food and a beautiful (house) selection of wines from unusual locations. Highly recommended!

Beautiful atmosphere, food and quality of food and beverage service. We would love to offer them MODA sustainable systems for their customers soon.

I thought the patrons could of been better dressed though.
Such a nice trendy place with great food. One would think people would be better dressed and this is why I give it a 4.
I think management should encourage their clients to dress better.

The best restaurant I ever been in Melbourne!
I had the best dinner time with my partner.
The location is cute and romantic at the same time cool and fancy. Costumer service is lovely, you get connected with your waiter that will guide you trough the menu with good suggestions. I took seafood, my partner meat. Nice alcohol selection. We started with cocktails which were amazing. I loved everything, the desserts was woooow, but the cauliflower were just. I was about to cry for how much it was gooood!
I read complaints about the late services, we didn’t wait at all, was everything in time but something is busy, be patient because your meal is fresh and takes time if you don’t want to wait go to McDonald’s.

Previously the iconic Young’s Auction House (1930 – 2015), it has now been transformed into a classy wine bar and restaurant. The fit-out is an impressive space with an open kitchen who delivered great food and friendly folk who looked after us. Says it all!

Amazing food! And even better service! The staff were amazing, attentive, friendly and accommodating. I recommend for any event or dinner.

Had lunch and decided to go for the chef $45 menu
Usually this means that you get to experience chef's recommendation and one should expect something special. The menu showed around 6 entrees and same for mains. We decided to let the chef decide. For entree we were given a plate of carrots, which was tasty and then we were given an anchovy with an olive on a toothpick, one each. This I dont think was on the menu.
For main we were given a plate of potatoes, perhaps Moroccan flavours and then a beef dish sliced with roast potatoes along with a small bowl of lettuce with a vinaigrette dressing.
For $45 I believe carrots, potatoes, beef and potatoes was an expensive and disappointing
lunch. First time there.
In addition my friend is dairy free so the bread accompanied by some cheese was ok for me and they gave another couple of slices of bread to her and ended up charging 50c for that. This I thought was over the top!

A very impressive restaurant. We had a terrific dinner here. The fit out is superb. It’s an outstanding space. The food is brilliant. Every dish we had was wonderful. Service was up and down though. Some very good, some not so.

We received some sound advice about our initial wine choice, the Mornington on skins pinot gris. It was said to be a little bitter and that was spot on. The second wine recommendation on a pinot noir wasn’t anywhere near as successful. The server said it wasn’t a light pinot but I found that it was. It also took us a long time to procure the second bottle. It took quite a while to attract a server for the wine list and even longer after that to attract a server again to order. I only mention it because it was very frustrating at the time.

We were given some beautiful bread and ricotta to start. We loved it. I chose an unusual starter, char grilled leek. This was faultlessly good! Soft, smoky and delicious. It was pure joy to eat. I had duck for main. That too was excellent. A lovely dish that was flavoursome and lovely. The sides were a joy too. Some broccolini as well as a mixed salad and a cauliflower dish. They also could not be faulted. We loved them and celebrated that all dishes were a decent size too. The others thoroughly enjoyed their dishes as well. They were variously the carpaccio of king salmon, croquette, mussels, the octopus (“ it’s the best octopus I’ve ever had”) and the fish special.

We finished with coffees and some cleansing shiraz. There were still plenty of people around at the end of the night but it was hard not to get an impression that the staff wanted us to move on which we did of course.

We had a really lovely night here. It’s a very very good restaurant. The food is top class. Great range, beautifully cooked and presented and generous portions. There’s certainly enough good wines on the wine list to provide a sound option. The service is very pleasant but rather up and down given our experiences last night. No doubt that will improve over time.

Really nice place. We’ll be back for sure.

Great food and prompt attentive service. Superbly presented. Great food done well. I can recommend the dinner service 'Regale' - a selection of 7 dishes from the menu to share with your fellow diners. You won't be left wanting for more!

Just had a special birthday lunch at Young’s.this place is amazing with the wonderful food, very attentive staff (thanks Brit), fabulous area at the rear of restaurant to host 18 ladies.
Nothing was a problem at all.

Hmmm No buzz at lunch time. Not quite what I expected. Food menu very limited. Interesting to see what they have done with this Camberwell institution

Delicious food and extensive drinks list. However the service has a lot to answer for. It was inattentive, no one is attending just one table, they are poorly trained, the meals are poorly described on menu. Just weird.

Talk about having a memorable birthday celebration. Our experience with Young's Wine Rooms was absolutely one for the books - service, ambiance and food were all amazing! I appreciate how Josh and the rest of the team looked after us. As we were a big group, Josh suggested that we get the chef's menu and it was definitely the right choice. Serving was generous, paced well and food quality was superb! Definitely recommend this place. All our friends enjoyed the night and were happy with our restaurant choice! 5 out of 5.

I’m from regional Victoria, and I’d come back to Melbourne just to eat and drink here again. Beautiful food, and the wine list is extensive.

1 hour and 15 minutes is too long to wait for food to be delivered. $32 for a very small portion of pasta is a little too expensive. Meals were delivered as if we were independent diners who had placed their order at different times and just happened to be sitting at the same table. I was not impressed with the food, I have had far superior and memorable epicurean experiences elsewhere. I was more impressed by the decor. Such a shame, I was really looking forward to making Young’s one of my regular eateries.
