Had dinner here tonight for my friends birthday and the whole experience was amazing. The service from Edward was top notch, Sebastian choose some fantastic wines to pair with our food and the cocktails were delicious.

All the dishes surpassed our expectations, the serving sizes were perfect, the food delicious (I had the wagyu steak and it was exceptional). Our whole party had such a wonderful time, we will be back.

Just a casual lunch between christmas and New Year. Choices were great, and there were some great options for smaller eaters.

The wine list was very extensive and some good options.

Pasta, and 3 of iur 4 had pasta, were all dofferent but all delicious. The serving size of the entree pasta was perfect.

Lovely setting and a good open space.

Would highly recommend and will certainly return.

All was fine! Except we were approached 4, yes 4 times, with the wrong order! My niece, being young and nice, accepted pasta instead of risotto. Other plates were refused because they were not ordered! This is a management and/or organisational
problem! I understand you're in a prime spot, I live a few thousand miles away, but please sort that out mate! Thank you.

The food has improved greatly. Back to what it was originally. The sommelier, however, brought the whole experience down. Having decided on our wine, we were then presented with 2 "alternative " wines and were upsold.
Then, at the end of the meal, said sommelier then presented us the eftpos machine and questioned us as to why we weren't tipping him.
Food 5, sommelier 0.
Not sure I want to experience this again.

We were browsing the menus outside when we were approached by a member of staff who greeted us.
He was absolutely lovely and offered us a seat out of the cold even if we didn't want to eat there.
When I mentioned I had diet restrictions he went above and beyond to produce a menu that I could eat which was amazing.
Wine list was on point and food was so yummy. Very warm and welcoming environment. Thank you for a great experience.

You definitely need to pay this place a visit!

I had a great experience visiting Youngs Wine Rooms. We’ve been seated right away, the waiters were very kind, and the food was sooo good! I’ve been told that they’ve changed the menu just the day before, and everything we tried was finger leaking good! Especially the smoked eggplant rigatoni, but also all the sides that we tried along with it, and the dessert too (the crème brûlée was my favourite). I’m definitely going to visit it again.

Lovely glass of Cab Sav and the waitress was lovely and made sure that we were well taken care of. We had no food, only a drink but it was great. Thanks guys!

Lovely atmosphere and the food was yummy. I had spinach risotto, and my friend had pasta with prawns. For dessert, it was the passionfruit bruluee. It was light and divine.

One of the best things about life, is when you are pleasantly surprised, and in the best way possible with incredible food. We were in the area looking for somewhere to enjoy lunch for 2. After walking up and down, we glanced into Young and thought we would give it a go. We were greeted by the friendly manager (Eduardo) and a warm and welcoming smile. We didn't have a booking (restaurant half full) and he seated us with ease and told we would be taken care of today by a waiter, Spiros.

As we looked through the menu, we took in the ambience and great setup. Exposed bricks, exposed wooden beams, open kitchen, great lighting and one hell of a wine menu. We decided to share 2 mains, the Spaghetti Prawns and the special, Pappardelle with braised Lamb. Drinks were a Pinot Noir from Mac Forbes Winery (Incredible) and a Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc (delicious).

Our food did not take long and quite simply, WOW-EE! (this should really be a word). The quality and flavour of both pasta dishes were up there with some of the best we have had, both locally and abroad. That Prawn Spaghetti sauce was almost like a bisque in a tomato based sauce that was heavenly, delicate and hit the spot. The Pappardelle was incredible, both in texture, the sauce and the tender falling of the braised lamb. It's like the Pasta gods themselves knew we were in town and a beacon of culinary light shone down on us! The wines matched perfectly with both dishes. You could just tell a lot of effort and thought went into both dishes. As we enjoyed our second glass of wine, we were given the desert menu and decided on the Pistachio, olive oil soil desert (thanks for the gentle nudge Spiros).

The Chef (Cristos) shortly came out and served our desert and poured the the coffee/sauce over our desert and introduced himself. It was one of the best deserts we have ever eaten and rounded off the lunch perfectly. This was genuinely one of the best culinary experiences we have had, so much that we booked in for the dinner tonight! What surprised me were the reviews (which were mixed) that I had read after the meal, and I'm so glad we didn't let reviews dictate our decision and went in purely on feeling and zero judgement.

Keep up the great work, food, attentive customer service and friendliness. If you haven't been here before, I would highly suggest you give it a shot and form your own opinion.

Thanks and Regards - Raman & Sarah.

You know it’s a great place with a great vibe when you don’t want to leave. And you are literally the last table there. Julia was amazing as was Edward. What a great place. Food was next level delicious. What a gorgeous place. So happy we dined there tonight! Everyone was so polite and lovely.

This was one of the worst restaurant experiences that I have ever had. The staff seemed overwhelmed and clueless, and no-one was able to pay us any attention. So, after 40 mins of being seated we got a bread and dip course, and after it was cleared, we waited for a further 30 mins, and still hadn’t got a second course. The staff didn’t seem to care, when asked about how long the wait would be no-one got back to me. It got too much, so I left. I have never had such a poor experience in a restaurant, and what makes it so much more frustrating is that the staff did not care. When I left, the manager did not even offer an apology, and I am just appalled about how poor the service was. The one course that we did have was barely acceptable; they had run out of the dip on the menu. Overall, the service and quality was a disgrace, and I would never return.

A little noisy but not too loud, conversation was elevated, ho hum First world problem.
The meals were delicious, flavoursome and tasty, however they were small servings and that made the meal expensive. Beer was well priced and the wine over priced considering it was a wine bar. Would I go back, tentative yes, as I said the meals were very delicious.

Because there was some problem in timing of our food we were given an additional entree Kingfish 5/5. Cocktails perfect. Food and service delightful. Thanks, I found it a little noisy, my problem.

Young’s has been one of our go to for several years but I just had the most disappointing experience. My father (86) took my son for lunch yesterday and 4h after lunch started being very sick, vomiting for over an hour; when I came home late from work he still couldn’t stand up and was shaking. The doctor told us it was food poisoning and considering that the only food he had had that day was there, I gave them a call as soon as I could to, sharing what he had eaten (prawn) and what had happen. I had the shortest, rudest answer « ok, thanks for letting us know, bye »: no « can you tell me specifically what he had » or « I’m sorry to hear, how is he doing ? ». No care for the food quality and risk to others, no care for a long term, elderly customer who was still lying in bed.

Had an incredible Valentine's Day experience at Young's Wine Rooms. Even though it was probably one of their busiest nights the staff worked incredibly hard to make the experience seamless. Loved the set menu, such a great atmosphere and a perfect pick for a special occasion.

This is the only restaurant I have ever walked out of. Over an hour in, all we had been served was bread and raw tomatoes. Unbelievably poor service. And no apology from the manager. In fact, rather than apologizing, the manager just said “ok, mate”

Worst Valentine’s Day ever.

I would give it zero stars if I could.

Have dinner there, order a king fish entree, it is sliced unevenly and it does not have lemon taste at all.
For the main, I have the risotto, this was great, the best risotto I can say.
But the bug tagliolini (not too sure if I have spell correctly) I can tell the bug is medium rare (not cooked) but everything else is good.
They give the dessert menu at the end, when finish main. I was looking forward to order something in the beginning, but they are super busy I can tell, and serving food super slow about 1 hour. So already full after main.
The service is good, friendly and keep apologising for the late serving. However they keep asking if we want to order wine, but some people like me do not drink and may drive, I know I can go to another place but I saw people posting food here on social media and looks nice. Just would like to say that so not need to keep selling drink, and the food is good but it can be better.
