YOI Indonesian Fusion reviews
57 If you want a futuristic experience come here and be served by a cheerful robot who delivers your food to your table.
The menu has an excellent range of tasty, spicy and authentic Indonesian dishes. Be warned the chilly symbol really does mean spicy.
A fun experience with good food.
Service was very friendly and prompt.
Dishes coming out quite quick and they're all very tasty
Lots of interesting "fusion" take on traditional indonesian dishes
Amazing taste, generous quantities and friendly service. Absolutely love this place. The salted egg chicken is a must try.
One of the best Indonesian cuisine I have had in Melbourne CBD. The ambience and location plus the customer service is excellent.
I had the opportunity to eat Bakmi Ayam Warung & Kelpon. 5/5
The only item that set me back from giving a higher rating is that sweet martabak; had it been only sweet & not sour, would have tasted amazing.
Nonetheless, a must visit for your taste buds.
I never come to this place yet. But my hotel is providing me foods from this Restaurant during my isolation. And the food taste is great.
The food was really good. I can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu. Highly recommend!
I am from Indonesia so i’ve always been on a hunt to find great Indonesian restaurants in Melbourne. Yoi is one of the best Indo restaurants that i’ve ever been to!
Their salted egg chicken and Iga Bakar Penyet (grilled beef ribs) were very delicious and really brought back my Indo memories
As a 100% Indonesian, I really recommend you to try Indo cuisine at Yoi, you wouldn’t regret it!
After the lovely Andrew's Burgers closed down, YOI moved in. I have been to YOI a few times so far, always happened to be late lunch after a busy morning at work. The speed of serving food is slow but the quality of the dish and the price is all worth it. Definitely genuinely Indonesian food: you see Indonesian people there all the time, and not uncommon to see Indonesian students bring their visiting parents there. These parents know good food reminds them of home. The ambience is great, lots of light and quality servingware.
A new and popular indo fusion restaurant. The service was quick and the pricing not bad. The food is yummy, filling and many of classics are there with a twist. The cleanliness of the restaurant could be improved a little bit but otherwise a nice place for causal dining.
Salted egg fries was amazing.
Some food are really spicy (look out for chilly icon on the menu)
Yoi fried rice was delicious! I also ordered martabak with cheese and the other one with chocolate + peanut, both are yummy and freshly made, the best martabak in Melbourne.
Grilled Rib was tasty, but doesn't have the charcoal taste, if they grilled their ribs with charcoal I think the grilled ribs would be perfect.
Unfortunately, there was a bungled with our additional order. It came late as caused by technical mistake. Hey, we all make mistakes right, maybe they could improve it in the future.
Staff very apologetic and gave us a free drink as a good gesture.
A clean and nice place to enjoy meal.
Anyway, a 4 stars from me.
One of the best Indonesian dishes in town. The Salted Egg Indomie is the best for me. Price is comparatively lower than others, too. Will always frequent here on the weekends:)
It's a nice Indonesian restaurant to have a lunch. Place is clean and staff was friendly. They have online order by scanning barcode on table. Food quite tasty and served relatively quick. The sambal is quite spicy. They marked it on the menu for spicy food.
It's a rare find. I say that not because it's not hidden in some alleys. It's in plain sight on one of the busy streets. May be that's why it's easier to dismiss. When I saw the words 'Indonesian fusion", I was merely curious. Because I felt deep inside that they might have screwed up the food somewhere or it must be expensive for no reason because they are fusion.
I saw the menu, and the prices are the best you can ever dream of. Beef rendang with rice for 10.90, are you kidding me? Okay, I get it. You really get bite sized food where the food is just above average. Is that right? No way man, no way.
This is one of the best beef rendang I ever had in Melbourne, it reminded me of my time in Indonesia. The beef is so juicy and tender, the rendang is so on the point. I loved every bite of it. The portions are really good too. The chicken satay and the sambal.wow.
Definitely recommended, unfortunately underrated gem in Melbourne CBD. Kudos!
Great food, big servings, good price. The only little thing I don't like is that some dishes that are not labeled as spicy are, in fact, spicy, at least to my taste.
Decent grub and friendly staff. There's barely any waiting time from ordering to getting your food, but the portions can vary between dishes and orders. Seating space can be a problem, but as a restaurant, they're solid.
Not knowing what to.expect from this Indonesian fusion dinning space we took the risk only to try the Indonesian version of Rendang Curry.
Not only did we like Rendang Curry (though nothing unusual as we thought it would be) but what we LOVED was the spicy Chicken which is apparently their speciality. And definitely not for a faint heart for it won't only burn your tongue but.
Service is friendly and prices are very affordable.
Definitely returning to try other dishes on their inexpensive menu.
YOI is a nice cheap Indonesian restaurant. Staff are nice, food is good. They have Salted Egg flavour hot chips, and salted egg noodles Gyutan Don. Plus the Nutella Roti Bakar and Sweet Martabak for dessert.
The portion sizes are nice for lunch or dinner. Usually if you get there at 11: 30am service is fast.
We stumbled upon this place and managed to get a table. Very busy place for dinner! Food was nice and authentic; service was quick. A great place for a quick bite before a film.
Beautiful Asian fusion, great service, seats are a little uncomfortable in my opinion. Plus I have found that the meals are quite large.
