I’ve been here twice over the course of a couple of years and it’s one of the better overall winery experiences I’ve had, especially when considering value for money. Food, wines, service, venue where all great. From memory the menu didn’t change much over time but I like the menu options so it wasn’t an issue for me.

Amazing welcoming customer service and atmosphere. Our wine tasting was thoughtful, informative and helpful. Highly recommend

Great food and Service. The waitress went to bring colouring pencils for my 4 year old daughter which was much appreciated.

The quail wasn't gamey but the sauce was. Cheese platter could feed 4 I reckon.

The steak eye was amazing! Very well cooked with so much flavour! I was also impressed with the Dory. It had so much texture and bite compared to what I find in my country. The rabbit felt like tuna to me though but still good.

One of the worst meals we've had in a very long time, food is mostly tasteless and oily, reminded me of english pub food 20 years ago, really, really, awful

Visited here on a Sunday afternoon with my wife. We sat by the window with a beautiful outlook of the valley where we were greeted with friendly staff. The vegan option on the menu was amazing, we ordered sides as usually vegan options from past experience at wineries aren’t usually satisfying, However we didn’t really need them as the 2 course menu was adequate.
Very friendly and professional staff with a nice ambience inside the restaurant.
We will be back!

Probably quite good in its hey day but now, Yering Station as a destination is not reflected well by its poorly maintained architectural flagship. It is plainly obvious from food quality down to issues with its waterproofing.

I do appreciate the vision - a building nestled amongst the valley with a view at the dining table however, small things let down Yering.

The food at the restaurant was quite poor - and for the price it claimed to be worth, it was a huge disappointment. Dishes seem to try really hard to be high end however, fall flat with poor produce. The dishes themselves were bland and tasteless - slightly cold. I had the steak and it was cold and bland. The rabbit entree was mediocre, nestled between two unseemly biscuits for some for whatever reason. There needs to be an update in the kitchen for sure. My mother had the fish which was pungent and clearly not fresh.

The wine is good however, the one saving grace.

One star for service, one star for location however the other three are still to be found.

Guillaume was absolutely amazing! His wine knowledge was fantastic and our experience at a winery today was the best I've had thus far. He didn't sound like he was talking from skript but also from experience. He was so friendly and provided allot of information on local and Australian wines. He was humble and made our experience very comfortable. He listened to our opinions and we had an educated discussion on the history of Australia wine. I would definitely go to this winery again. 10/10

Awesome tasting experience with Callum. Gave us heaps of tasting notes and some recommendations of food to pair with their great wines. Top shelf banter to go along with it as well, great bloke!

Yering Station
- Market fish scallop potato kohlrabi tarragon beurre blanc
- Lamb rack braised shoulder brussel sprout radicchio relish
- Fries
- Glass of Wine
- Coffee or Tea ️

Joined a one day Yarra Valley trip by @vinetrekker. We visited 5 wineries and stopped at Yering Station for lunch. The contemporary architectural design was breathtaking. It was such a pleasure to enjoy lunch at this exquisite place. I ordered the king dory. Both the fish and scallop were cooked perfectly. The beurre blanc wasn’t too overpowering. It complimented well with the seafood. My friend had the lamb and it was tender and flavourful. Overall a lovely experience at Yering Station.

Came here during the Easter weekend and the place was packed as expected. Did the wine tasting and there was a 30 mins wait and I was understanding, so we spent the time browsing the premises and admiring some of the artwork, architecture and the garden. Beautifully curated and on another day could spend a whole afternoon. Definitely one of the best wineries in the area.

Lovely staff, big selection for a reasonable price, and the tasting fee is waived if you purchase anything, will go back for sure. Make sure you go earlier though, after the tasting the restaurant had closed. I believe it had closed at 2 or 2: 30

We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday yesterday with a memorable family lunch. It was wonderful.we enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant looking out at the stunning views. The service was great, the staff were warm & friendly & especially the waitress who served us was very sweet & so helpful. She was attentive to our needs & her caring & cheery interaction with our little grandson was lovely to see. He was smitten by her.all of 18 months old.
Our entrees of the salmon & stuffed zucchini flowers were beautifully presented & delicious.
However, our mains weren't outstanding as we had hoped for. The eye fillet, chicken & fish lacked flavour & seasoning. There weren't any salt & pepper shakers on the table or any mustard for the steaks, nor were we offered any which was a little disappointing.
However, we all agreed we had a fabulous time plus it was a special occasion & our family being together in a beautiful setting more than made up for it, hence we've given 4 stars.
We also visited the Cellar & happily left with our purchases.
Looking forward to our next visit when hopefully it'll be 5 stars.

I celebrated my 60th birthday at Yering in The Barn. Venue was great, the food fantastic and plentiful and Chelsea and Laura worked their backsides off in looking after all of us. Rachel, who coordinated this event, was terrific to work with. Oh, and the wine was damn good too! All of my guests raved about Yering.

Had lunch with my family today. Great view, friendly staffs. Terrible food. Entrees and desert were ok. Main fish, lamb and steak were all over cooked and blank. Very disappointed!

This was the second winery we visited during our stay down in the Yarra Valley region and unfortunately it wasn't great. We visited for the wine tasting and were looking to finding the perfect red wine we liked to take home with us. Of the 6 wines we had (4 red, 1 white and 1 dessert wine) we really didn't like any of them. It's not just a preference thing, because we visited Oakridge and Coombe that same day and loved several reds and whites from both of them. Yering's wines were far more acidic, sour and harsher. Didn't try the food but the grounds were nice.

We had a group of 6 people booked on a Saturday & our waiter was attentive, friendly & easy going. He took our orders and our meals & drinks arrived in a prompt manner. The set menus meals were delicious, which made it easy for us to select from. The grounds of Yering make some great photo opportunities. Lots of interrsting craft artwork & statues on such lovely grassland areas to sit underneath the shade of trees. It is a very nice casual place to dine and have lunch with friends and family or to celebrate an occassion.

UTTERLY DISAPPOINTING.
Dinned here for lunch today and we were utterly disappointed.
From the moment we walked in the host was rude, after asking to see our vaccination certs we presented them to him and he stood and stared blankly without remark which was really quite a strange way to start our lunch. We actually felt like we were an inconvenience. He then silently proceeded to show us to our table.
Our lovely waitress was attentive and friendly from the start and this review is not a reflection on her but rather management and the quality of food.

Lamb entree and octopus entree were lovely and presented well.
However 2 guest at our table ordered the trout ravioli and it was exceptionally bland, particularly the cold components.
Mains we had 2 pork “racks” which were really one cutlet on the bone sliced up. One was polished off and enjoyed, the other was almost impossible to cut through the gristle and was barely touched. Overall looked like a glorified pub meal.
The Barramundi itself was perfectly cooked and delicious but the accompaniments were a let down.
My partner had the duck which was nice enough but the presentation belonged back in the 80s with long peels of raw carrot over the plate adding absolutely nothing to the dish.
Sides …. Well fries are fries and they came out hot at least, but under seasoned, as for the spinach salad the presentation was horrible and it looked like it belonged at a 80s Christmas lunch. Thick bits of cubed ham, browning avocado and a smear of feta… really disappointing. A different waitress cleared our table this time and asked how everything was. Although the meals were mediocre I politely explained the meals were OK.except for my pork! I showed her the difficulty I had with even cutting it. The waitress then sighed at me, grabbed the plates and walked away never to return? If you don’t want feed back why ask?
Following this we waited patiently but the waitress did not return nor did a bill arrive at the table. We eventually proceeded to the front of the restaurant to pay…. The male host arrived at the computer printed the bill in silence and slid it in front of my partner! What is this guys problem! The bill was payed without further discussion or interest in our experience, hence this review. Honestly the place was laughable. Yerring Station have not kept up with times. I have considerable experience in hospitality and do not usually leave negative reviews. Save your money for legit restaurants and give this place a miss.

The area is lovely with wide grassy areas for your furry friends to explore. The food was also enjoyable. However despite the website and other visitor sites saying that they allow dogs, this is only in the gardens and if you’re planning to dine at the restaurant you will not be allowed to take your dog with you (even outdoor seating) which is disappointing.
