Yering Station Winery reviews
76Had a family lunch here and the overall experience was fantastic. The service was seamless and the wait staff were extremely friendly, as well as the manager who went above and beyond sorting our bill at the end of the sitting. Great views, professional yet friendly, knowledgeable staff made for a great outing with the grandparents. Will be returning.
Mr John recommends this winery! Great wines, great staff and spectacular grounds. Check it out
Went there for a business lunch. Amazing place, amazing views, lovely food and wonderful wait staff. Highly recommended.
Wonderful Discovery!
Our discovery of YERING STATION came on the back of a sadly disappointing visit to another 'sparkling wine farm' visit in Coldstream earlier in the day. We had been told NO food, NO picnics and NO drinks allowed outside so decided to abandon our original plans and head to YERING STATION instead.
Here we were warmly welcomed and invited to enjoy all the gardens had to offer, picnic and even a glass or two under the sunshine. The kids were able to run and play without anyone frowning at them, and overall it was a spectacular place for photos and amazing wine.
10/10!
We had our wedding at Yering Station and it was absolutely serene. We got married during late October when the art exhibition was happening at the same time which added another level of elegance to our wedding. Thank you Rebekah and the team at Yering Station for doing a perfect job and making our dream wedding come true!
Good food. Great service. A really nice place just to have a relaxing lunch.
We ordered 2 courses meals plus a couple of sides to share. Good sized servings.
Excellent service and food! The waitress are very friendly and helpful. I booked the table online, they reserved a table with awesome window view for us! All the starters and mains are outstanding (looks pretty & taste good), the potions are bigger than i expected. It’s make sense to have 15% surcharge during the public holiday. I would recommend this place to my friends.
The French sommelier (didn’t catch his name sorry) was so knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. He was willing to take all the time in the world with us to talk about the different wines, making process etc. We of course ended up buying the most expensive bottle, mostly because of the wonderful experience! Will definitely recommend friends to go and visit here and do the wine tasting!
Had lunch with my girlfriends to celebrate my birthday, the service is fantastic and food so delicious! Will come again for sure.
Fantastic service from staff. They were professional, friendly and knowledgeable in everything that the winery had to offer. Their presence made the visit worthwhile.
In terms of the property, I wish more signage was around. It was gorgeous walking through the gardens, but we got confused as to where to find the cellar door. If someone had a disability, this winery would not be the most accessible.
The overall tasting was decent. Wine was nice. The art was stunning. I just wish that cold water was offered to cleanse the palette. I also felt that the staff were helping so many people that we couldn't learn about the history of the winery or experience the atmosphere that other local wineries possess.
Overall, it's a good winery and experience. Thank you Yering for having me.
Nice touch with the original winery building utilised for wine testing and art display; nice views from the restaurant floor to celling windows which nested in the architecturally beautiful building.
Staff nice and very casual: two girls behind the counter at the restart indulged themselves in early hours of the morning with few glasses of wine.
Testing was not exiting: 5~7 wines poured in extremely small amount (maximum 10ml) and premium testing list lists $300 wine that is "not for testing" (why to list it on the testing menu then?).
Overall experience is good and relaxing.
Celebrated my birthday here and had the most perfect day. Arrived at the grounds and walked through the green archway from the carpark into a beautifully serene garden with the sound of birds in the background. Magic!
Loved the blend of modern and heritage materials in the architecture, the wisteria, water and other garden features on site.
We arrived a little early and headed into the cellar doors to taste 5 gorgeous reds recommended by the sommelier. The staff were incredibly professional and knowledgeable in their wines - we ended up buying several bottles to cellar and drink on special occasions.
This was followed up by a 2 course lunch in the restaurant which had stunning panoramic views of the valley below.
We never told anyone we were there for my birthday but the staff were so friendly and really went the extra mile - it really made my day.
I've been to a number of wineries before but Yering Station is now number 1 for me. Would highly recommend for groups of all sizes and the terrace and surrounds would make an incredible backdrop for a wedding.
An experience you must try when in Victoria.
To begin with-we didn’t try their wine, so I’m rating my expectations from a failed visit. Many wineries asked for pre booking which is fine. We booked couple of nice places and enjoyed. When we contacted Y. S.they told us not to worry - since were were just two, now prebooking was needed. When we arrived we were told they were full. Amazing. No wine tasting but 80$ spent on taxi for a return trip plus 40 min of taxi waiting time as there were not many of them during the holidays
We were with a group of four, one person was missed on their entree and their entree took 10 more minutes to arrive. Another person in our group had their main missed and it took 15 mins for their meal to arrive. It meant both these people ate without us. All dishes were of a subpar quality and when we asked to speak to someone about the meal, they took two glasses of wine off the meal and refused to talk about anything else. The experience as a whole was terrible. Go up the road to Balgownie, entirely different experience!
The meal was good but for the life of me I can’t understand why there is a $9 surcharge on a piece of eye fillet steak, we did ask the waitress and were told it’s because it’s “ good meat “ as far as we were concerned it should be good meat when paying the price they ask for 2 or 3 courses. I could maybe understand if the steak was wagyu but certainly not for eye fillet unfortunately this has put us right off and probably won’t go back.
We came here for a wine tasting and lunch with a tour group that was pre-booked.
I have tons of allergies, and the chef made me an amazing special meal so that I could eat with the other guests. It was delicious, very generous portions, and made me feel very well taken care of. Kudos to the chef and the staff!
Food was okay but service was disappointing at Yering Station. 8 of us had three course meal, We ordered two bottle of wine, our server was too busy, she poured the first wine then walked off never check back, tried to tell any staff to fill the glass (because bottle was not with us) but no one looked at us or anything we had to keep looking at staff for a while to get the drinks. My dessert was served but no one clean out my main dishes until we left.
Exceeded expectations! Roads opened just in time for the 80th birthday lunch early on a Saturday arvo.
Arrived via helicopter to enjoy the 3 course lunch menu in the restaurant with a large group. Exceptional value for $90 and plenty of choice for a set menu.
Service was very accommodating and friendly considering how busy the day was. Will definitely be back to explore the gallery and cellar door!
An amazing place for lunch. Beautiful views but more importantly excellent food. Highly recommend
We did a tasting at the cellar door. We were hosted by Paula, who was just amazing. Great wines and a generous variety on tasting, and we took a few bottles home. Thank you Paula for taking such good care of us! Beautiful gardens and views too.
