West 48 reviews
61We called in for a coffee with a friend and what a surprise. Service was excellent, the food very yummy. Definitely worth a visit
Overpriced and too slow for service. $14.for a slice of gluten free carrot cake. Put YOUR PRICES ON YOUR DISPLAY FOOD. Am a healthcare worker and that is such bad bad form. The cake was super dry and nothing special. The staff were like "isn't it amazing"... For that price. I only found out the price when i went to pay 18.for coffee and cake. What an absolute rip off.
Foods so good. Coffee is always consistently great. Vibe is chill. Been coming here for ages, never disappointed.
The food and coffee 10/10, and staff was so welcoming. Hidden gem of a cafe in West Footscray! So so glad we discovered this place. Will be going back for more
Spend over 50 bucks on a meal that was over salted to the point where it was not edible. The quality of this place has dropped a lot lately. Won't be back.
Good, friendly cafe. Got the Falafel bowl and added the crispy chicken. Couldn't fault it legit 10/10 brunch dish, honestly one of the best cafe meals ive had in a long time.
We walked in and felt so welcome by Ian and the staff at west 48, amazing service and food. One of the best places I have been to
Opens early enough for a before work coffee. And it's good coffee. Food is delicious. Can get busy during lunch.
The burgers are worthy of a random number best of list
Fabulous little Cafe, very hip with excellent coffee & lots of funky, delicious food options. Not too pricey & definitely worth a visit!
Portions are pretty small good if your a tiny person.
Quality of the food was really good coffee was nice and it was reasonably priced.
Overall a good experience.
Food poisoning -
This place gave us food poisoning, have been sick whole weekend.
The food was not tasty or anything special, small quantity and way overpriced. Paid $23 per dish small quantity. The mushrooms looked like to be really old (for which they charged $5 - may be 4-5 mushrooms all up) and it could be that has given the food poisoning but who knows what caused. Over priced no flavour with a big splash of diarrhea that's what we got.
The only good thing was lovely and friendly customer service staff, nice hot chocolate and coffee. Front staff is all wonderful. Not sure what goes in the kitchen.
This was my second visit. First time I ordered granula, it was worst, basic, low quality granula with 4 berries. I wondered why did had to I pay $13 for basic sugary granula with 4 berries.
Go for a drink but not for the food. Very disappointing as staff at the front are really gorgeous, friendly and make nice drinks. The food made me so sick, I got tummy aches and motion that I never got before.
Both times I went cause reviews were ok. But I suppose most places in Melbourne just get 4.5 reviews anyway. I m so disappointed.
My all time go to place for breakfast, brunch. Starting off with coffee, it was so great. Breakfast had great presentation and was flavoursome. Have been here many times, but still cant get enough of the food and coffee.
It's been almost an year to come get my coffees and sometimes food as well. Coffees have been consistently good always and all staffs are lovely! And amazing food too. Glad to have such a nice good cafe nearby.
I just had brunch at West 48 for first time! Such a nice place to chill and I’m in love with the braised beef brisket! Service was good too
I found this nice cafe by chance, and had nice food.
The volume is a bit small, but the taste was amazing.
Had Maple Waffle and Brunch Bowl.
Matcha latte and breaky dog with smoked kransky was nice. Would of loved the fried chicken burger to come in a brioche bun just like the cheese burger, rather than be served in half a pita bread. Needless to say, I wouldn't expect a souvlaki to come in a bun.
Went in once just for a takeaway coffee and the staff were so friendly and sweet! Held the door open when I came in and left and were super approachable.
Coffee was excellent:)
The best egg and bacon roll I have ever had. Cool vibe. Great menu selections and friendly staff. A little expensive but when the food is that good you don't mind.
Very cute little cafe with friendly staff. Coffee and food was nice enough. Portion size does run towards the smaller side.
To expensive $18.5 without same as described in the menu. But is a good taste though. And their manager so good to handle my complaint (forgot to catch the name)
