Wendy Does Weddings

OMG where to begin. Wendy was perfect from the moment we saw her at a friend’s wedding a few years ago. She made everyone feel at ease as she told the tale of their love story. When we met her for our wedding there was no questioning that she was for us. We barely let her walk out the door before we proposed she celebrate our wedding with us…. AND SHE SAID YES! From that point on, any communication we had with her regarding the wedding really put us at ease. All of our cute/odd ideas she incorporated into the ceremony with a smile like a 2 year old in a lolly shop, a rock off to see who went first to say their vows “amazing”. When she sent through our ceremony to proof read, it was as if she was there through all our life’s mile stones. She captured it perfectly. I’m not crying your crying were my exact words.

On the day of the wedding we had lost the wedding rings had to move rooms due to a power outage as hair and makeup arrived and everyone that needed to be somewhere (the groom…) was running late. But I knew that Wendy was all ready to rock and roll and get this party started. She came and visited us girls when we were getting my dress on, and I knew it would all be fine after that. Wendy has this infectious joy that when you are around her you can’t help yourself but to smile and relax. She even discussed changing the wording of the exchange of rings in case I was too upset about the last line being “don’t lose it. ” But it made it all the better for those in the know, something we can now laugh about. It’s ok they have been found.

The ceremony set the tone for the entire wedding, joyful, fun, light hearted, sweet and above all else it was us. Wendy just gets you as a couple and knows exactly what to say. Like she has known you your entire life. This girl loves love and loves to share love with everyone around her. Everyone is raving about her and how perfect she was, how it broke through the traditional formalities of a wedding and allowed everyone to; cheer, laugh and happy cry, all at the same time.

Thank you for everything, we could not have been as cool as cucumbers if we didn’t know you were going to be right there with us the whole way through. You made everything easier, happier, more bubbly and bright. We are so happy to have had you there and no words can thank you for the incredible job you have achieved. Honestly we cannot thank you enough for everything.

You have started our marriage off with fun, joy and laughter, and there is no better way in our opinion to begin our adventure.

One year ago today my husband and I were lucky enough to have this amazing woman marry us.

Wendy, thank you so much for everything you did to make our wedding day so special. You exceeded our expectations, from our first meeting with you over Skype (when we were on the other side of the country) you were fabulous. You made sure we were happy and comfortable and always reminding us that it was our special day and everything should be the way we wanted it. Your ability to turn our simple questionnaire answers into an amazing story was so emotional that you had everyone in the chapel crying. Wendy married us on the 13th of April 2019. She made the process not only so easy but really fun! She takes care of all the admin stuff and the day of the wedding she made sure she had introduced herself to the wedding coordinater/photographer so basically everything is organised and working like clockwork before the Groom and Groomsman arrived at the alter!

Our favourite part about the Ceremony was hearing how Wendy pieced together our love story based on the questionnaire we filled out. We opted to fill these out separately so on the wedding day it was a surprise hearing what each other had said and we are so happy we did it this way! Not only did Wendy really capture the essence of us when sharing our story, but you can tell that she was genuinely excited and happy to share it with our guests.

Wendy promises a Ceremony with a relaxed and fun atmosphere and not only was this was exactly what we got but we enjoyed every minute of it! Thank you Wendy from the bottom of our hearts!

Words can not do justice to how wonderful Wendy is. We fell in love with her on our first meeting, she was so excited and lovely. It was actually the first time that we really felt like we were getting married! In the lead up she kept us in the loop with lots of (wine nights) catch ups, and kept that excitement going!
Our ceremony was beyond everything we dreamed it could be, and it was all because of Wendy. She was TRULY excited that we were getting married, and shared our journey so incredibly well. Our cheeks hurt from grinning, and I was fighting tears the entire time. My only regret was that she couldn’t stay for the reception afterwards!

Wendy is just amazing. She is so light-hearted and full of love. Yet she also takes it all very seriously: she would never let you down on the big day (and has a network to cover emergencies) and she puts a lot of time into personalising the experience. You can't go wrong!

Where do I start? ! Wendy quickly became our best friend as she showed a genuine interest in our love story over a wine. Our wedding ceremony was perfectly planned, and I had total confidence in leaving Wendy to do her thang while I tried not to run down the aisle. Wendy totally rocked the ceremony, a perfect combination of professional and hilarious, the compliments about her from our guests are still rolling in! Thank you Wendy!

Wendy, you are so incredible, friendly, generous, kind, patient, enthusiastic and professional. Michele and I loved being married by you and no one else could have done it as well as you.

I had known Wendy prior to her becoming a celebrant & when she told me that she was going to marry people, I knew straight away that not only would she be amazing at it, but she would be marrying me!

Her love for love really makes you feel special and important. She cares and it shows through by the way she wants to hear every detail about how he popped the question, how you both show love every day and your plans for the future. She gets excited with you, and that makes you get excited too!

Wendy made our wedding fun and laid back, there was no pressure to have things a certain way and she tailored the ceremony to match Louis and I 100%.
She made Louis and I feel calm and confident. I had no stress and no worries, and this was mainly because of Wendy!

I can’t express enough how grateful I am to have had Wendy marry us – it was a brilliant day & she has definitely found her calling!
