Wendy Does Weddings

I might actually cry writing this, because that’s how much Wendy being the celebrant and MC at our wedding meant to us.

Right from the very first enquiry email I sent her, I just knew she was the perfect fit for us. She was so warm, calm and kind, and her energy in our Zoom meetings always made me so excited for our wedding. Even though she is so busy, she has all the time in the world for you and it feels like your wedding is the constant priority.

Wendy got us fill out a questionnaire about each other and what we were looking forward to in our marriage, and we chose to keep it a secret from each other. She wrote the most beautiful, heartfelt ceremony from this and it is something Mitch and I will genuinely treasure forever. Our wedding would not have been the same without her.

For the MC part, she kept everything to time and so relaxed, and was always there to help our friends and family that were playing special roles.

I don’t think my review can do justice to how wonderful it was to have Wendy as our celebrant at our wedding earlier this year! Wendy was such a warm and calming presence on the day and in the lead up to the wedding. She was so helpful in our pre-wedding meetings and full of great advice. As most people probably do, we felt nervous about having all eyes on us for the ceremony but Wendy made it enjoyable! She absolutely put us at ease and delivered such a fun and heartfelt ceremony. We received so many compliments from our guests about how much they enjoyed the ceremony and how lovely Wendy was. I 100% recommend choosing Wendy as your celebrant!

I can’t imagine our wedding without Wendy! In the lead up and very much on the day, we felt so reassured and looked after by her. She was able to read us so well and tell our story like she’d known us for years.

We came across Wendy as she married my husbands sister and brother in law and we knew straight away that we wanted her to marry us. Wendy recently married us, and I’m not sure where to begin on how much we loved having her part of our big moment!
Our original celebrant unfortunately had to pull out, and thankfully we were recommended Wendy. After our first meet n greet zoom chat, my partner and I hung up, immediately looked at each other and said YES she’s THE ONE no question about it!
From there Wendy took over from our previous celebrant and did such a fantastic job of writing our ceremony and helping with vows. Any questions we had, she was super quick to help and very informative.
On the day she soothed our nerves and made a nerve wracking time feel as comfortable as possible. I walked down the aisle and saw our relaxed guests, laughing and cheering, and that was all thanks to Wendy.

Wendy is warm, friendly and kind and she is everything you could want or need for your day. She is also a friend for life!

Wendy was the absolute BEST celebrant for our wedding. As soon as we met Wendy via our first zoom chat there was no question that she was perfect and HAD to marry us!

She was very personal and immediately made us feel comfortable and at ease with the whole process. Her warm and bubbly personality is infectious and made our day very fun and special. We had so many compliments after the wedding by all of our guests saying how great Wendy was.

Oh my goodness I just want to be best friends with Wendy! My husband and I got married last month and are still on a high, which is all thanks to Wendy. She understood us and the vibe we were going for immediately, and really set the tone for the best day! They say the one thing you can’t predict on your wedding day is the weather, but that doesn’t matter when you have Wendy as your celebrant, because she is the literal definition of sunshine. From our very first Zoom with Wendy, having her officiate our marriage wasn’t a want - it was a need. Every email, text message and phone call with Wendy in the lead up to the wedding was an absolute dream, who made what could’ve potentially been an overwhelming process straight forward and exciting. Wendy was our biggest fan throughout the process, and this shone through on the day in her delivery of our ceremony. We received complement after complement from our family and friends about Wendy’s warm presence, and her ability to respect the formality of the ceremony, whilst making the experience feel welcoming, calm and intimate. Where to even begin with how much we love Wendy!
From the essay length emails full of! And emojis, warmth and laughter from the get go, we knew Wendy was meant to marry us! Instant best friend, total romantic, sunshine celebrant soulmate energy!
I've no doubt Wendy has this effect on everyone she meets (in person or virtually!), but we immediately felt comfortable and connected with Wendy, and truly felt we had met someone special, who matched our energy and vibe and excitement and all the feeeeeeeeels we could ever have, and then some!
From beginning to end it was an absolute dream -
She calms your nerves with big hugs, warm words and lots of encouragement
She wraps your loved ones up in her palpable warmth, joyous enthusiasm, and infectious energy
She tells your love story with genuine and heartfelt warmth and humour, which fills the room and sets the tone of the most happy, bubbly, loved up day!
Everyone adored her (of course!) and she left a lasting impression on all our guests, as well as us!

Wendy did a great job with our ceremony. She took the time to draft it with us and make it very personal and also made sure it ran to plan on the day.

We wanted to get married in Warrandyte by the river with only our parents present. It was low key and intimate. Wendy came recommended from
a friend and she was perfect! She helped us get organised as we’d left it all till the very last minute! She was thorough but always warm and relaxed, and had all these extra touches to remove any additional stress (eg: printing out our vows and glueing them onto backing card so we didn’t have to worry). I have a new baby so having her support the whole process was incredibly helpful. The day was magic and she even captured some candid photos which happen to be my favourite ones taken on the day. She went above and beyond for us! Couldn’t recommend her highly enough

Wendy is an absolute dream. She is incredibly genuine & warm, has an excellent sense of humour, and is articulate and professional. The work she put into preparing our ceremony was impressive, she curated a beautiful story that just 'got' us (multiple guests asked if she was a friend). The energy & emotion she was able to create with her storytelling and delivery was immense.

Wendy also has this beautiful, gentle presence that immediately made us feel relaxed and at ease, particularly standing up there at the start of the ceremony when everything is overwhelming & exciting. Her ability to set the tone and pace meant we could slow down, soak up the experience, be present and enjoy every little bit of our ceremony.
