Waverley General Practice

Waited for over an hour with my 11 month old baby to see the GP for a short time. It is stressful enough as a mum taking a fussy baby to see the GP. But to endlessly wait with no courtesy warnings that the GP is running extremely late, made things much worse! At the one hour mark, I had to go up to the receptionist to ask how much longer it will take. It was stressful the whole time and I left feeling flustered with an unhappy crying baby. Disappointed at the lack of consideration for the patients time and circumstances with a baby in the waiting room.

Made an appointment with Dr Nishan Herath as a new patient in a semi-urgent situation following a nasty accident a few days before hand that resulted in my hospitalisation. My concerns were my antibiotic treatment and strong pain I was experiencing. Dr Herath listened to my issues with great attention even though I was one of the last appointments of the day. He dealt with my antibiotic issues and then without my prompting was immediately concerned with the pain I was experiencing. I left the clinic with all of my issues and concerns dealt with along with a treatment plan for each one. Thanks to Dr Herath I am at home now and although my injuries are still healing I am so much more comfortable than I was before and I will be able to sleep for the first time in days. The amazing care I received has made me switch from a bulk billing clinic to this private practice (they are very affordable) and the difference in care is drastically better. I will be making this my regular practice and plan to book a full skin check and flu shot as soon as I have recovered from my current injuries. All I can say is thank you to Dr Herath and the clinic for going above and beyond. Simply put you get what you pay for and it is TOTALLY worth the small cost all said and done I will be less than approximately $40 out of pocket. I will be referring my friends and family.

Fantastic group of GP’s. My children and I have seen many different doctors at this clinic and they have all been fantastic. Professional, knowledgeable & friendly. Special shout out to Dr Marsland, Dr Nara, Dr Singh, Dr Banerjee, Dr Takkar & Dr Barton. Highly recommend this practice! Other family members have seen other staff and have nothing but good things to say about them all! Thank you!

The medical care by the doctors and nurses is first class. The current admin needs significant improvement. The charges for the services I received and the associated Medicare rebate for each service was not clear. Admin at this clinic is starting to treat people as customers rather than patients. I will not be going back.

Always a professional and thorough experience with the Team at Waverley GP. Their timely/prompt assistance is much appreciated and cannot thank them enough for the care and support to my family.

The professionalism of the team of doctors at this practice is second to none.
My parents started taking us all to this clinic as children, and I’m now in my early 40’s and have taken MY children to the same doctors.
They go above and beyond time and again. Could recommend them highly enough!

My husband and I attended the clinic yesterday, for a COVID booster. Dr. Harpreet Singh, who administered the vaccine, was extremely polite and caring. Overall it was a very positive experience.

Had my booster vaccine here this morning. Nice newly refurbished place, and was not kept waiting very long for my jab, maybe 20 mins and I was out the door. I had booked online the day before via the hotdoc website and it was nice to not have to fill in a bunch of forms on arrival. Doctor that jabbed me was courteous and delivered it well. Very efficient process which is exactly how it should be for a simple vaccination, a far cry from my initial experience at Sandown six months ago which was a horrible experience. Arm getting a bit sore, but otherwise feel fine.
Bear in mind though this was an early appointment 8am ish and it was already getting busy when I left, so I can’t vouch for waiting times further on into the day, or how packed the waiting room might get.
Also can’t vouch for the quality of the doctor (s) as was my first visit, but I would consider coming here again.

Dr Marsland is a very kind, thorough & professional doctor. Her knowledge & attention to detail is also wonderful & appreciated.

Professional and caring approach in handling my 2nd dose of vaccine. V carefully executed giving me the jab compared with state hub first experience. As a result minimal initial reaction.

Pfizer vaccine appointment ran on time, receptionists were lovely, doctor was professional and quick which was so good for my anxiety with needles. Highly recommend Waverley GP!

Excellent doctors and lovely facilities. It is extremely hard to get a booking which is a testament to how good the doctors are, but also can be a negative when you can’t get in for weeks.

Dr Riseley is the best GP I have ever seen. She is caring, empathetic and professional. Highly recommend.

Doctor Barton was right on time. Listened and documented everything I said which was wonderful.

A little bit of a long wait for the vaccine (my second) but once I got in there it was quick and efficient.

Dr Herath cleaned my ears which were badly blocked and did an amazing job. The relief was immediate. He was careful and took his time applying oil to soften the stubborn wax. Definitely go again for any ear vacuum again. No more ringing or pain in my ear which came on quickly over night. My hearing is dramatically better! Thankyou again.

My wife and I just had our second dose of the Astra Zeneca vaccine at the WGP. The doctor giving the dose was informative, competent and calmingly personal. Just as we would expect from the doctors and staff at the WGP which we have used for our medical requirements since the practice started.

As usual, a pleasant experience with friendly staff and doctors.
