Viet Kitchen reviews
59Yummy. Huge serves and super friendly and helpful staff. Party of 6 and everyone of us loved our meals.
My son and I ate here last week, we both really love Pho and Viet Kitchen did a pretty good job everything was really yummy and fresh. Friendly staff. Especially the one in the photo!
Our waiter was very accomodating to my celiac dietary requirements and made the whole experience a delight. I had an eggplant dish which was super tasty! Highly recommend
Excellent customer service, fair prices and high quality food. One of my frequently visited Vietnamese restaurants in Melbourne.
The advantage over the neighboring restaurants is that the staff are willing to offer high-end customer services and have more attention to details.
Friendly service, reasonable price. No wow factor though, average Vietnamese food. Not negative feedback, but nothing really stands out.
Love the food here they are so tasty, fresh and authentic. Service is always friendly and attentive too. Feel so welcomed whenever we dine in here. Must try dishes: Vietnamese coleslaw (with choice of prawn, chicken, beef or pork). My all time favourite is the rare beef salad. Must also try the beef in vine leaf, shaking diced beef.
Always our favourite place for Vietnamese food craving! Service here is always friendly and attentive no matter if they are busy or not. Food is cheap. Must try dishes are Vietnamese rare beef salad and Beef in betel leaves!
So tasty and fresh! The rice paper rolls are generously filled with plump prawns, perfect with the dipping sauce, made extra special with the addition of chunks of peanut and fresh chilli. Vermicelli noodle salad is packed with crunchy, fresh ingredients. My lemongrass chilli beef was full of flavour and my partner's veggie spring roll one was just as good. Service was even better. Thank you for a satisfying meal!
Super friendly and helpful staff! Always full of smile *thumbs up*
Food is reasonable priced, good quality and servings.
Can be quite busy during dinner time.
Edit 29 Mar 18: visited the place again last week. While service is good, food was a bit disappointing. The caramelised pork was very salty, hainanese chickem and the duck dish were average.
Been here about 5 times now in the hopes that they'd improve. Food is pretty gourmet and quality is great compared to other places in Footscray. While the waiters are very friendly, their service has been horrible EVERY time. It's bad enough that the kitchen is extremely slow, but the waiters have a habit of forgetting orders, even though you remind them MULTIPLE times - not only do they lie that it's being processed, they don't bother checking! So after waiting 45mins for the slow kitchen, then being lied to when we remind them, waiting another 30mins for the slow kitchen, and then being lied to again, we finally receive our order 1.5hrs later, which ends up being wrong anyway because they were too proud to admit theyve misplaced the order and were too busy lying about it being processed! There is no hope asking for extra condiments or water when they can barely serve the food.
We've given them far too many chances. Will never go back
Tasty authentic Vietnamese food. Cosy little place with not much space. Beer wine avail and also byo. Good service and very well priced
Always late for my orders, so I decided to give them one last chance so I did a phone order, I came after 15min and still they haven’t gotten it ready. It doesn’t take 1/2 to make 8 rice paper rolls. I was late for work thanks very much for your bad service.
Best viet food and great customer service. My favorite place. Decent cheap price for good quality food
The service here is wonderful, and the food arrives promptly. I have visited twice and enjoyed my meal both times. The food was flavourful and portions are generous. The restaurant is clearly a favourite because it fills up fast in the evenings and on both occasions, there were large groups celebrating birthdays there. We will no doubt return.
Vietnamese food for westerners! After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor my family decided to go for a meal.
I’m not sure what the other reviewers ordered, but ours was borderline awful. Sizzling duck didn’t sizzle, it was way too fatty and most of it was left. We ordered two sets of dumplings and the pan fried ones were cold in the centre. We think they’d be shown the pan, but didn’t get in.
Honey chicken with batter was literally chicken with honey poured over it causing everything to be welded to the plate. My uncle had the King Prawns. Order this dish if you are worried about vampires, the amount of garlic on it would of defeated an army, yet it still managed to remain flavourless.
Service involved dropping off a flask of tea and some unopened soft drinks with straws stuck in them. The staff were friendly enough though, and that’s where the two stars come from. I feel bad writing this, but for the #1 rated restaurant on TripAdvisor the meal was nowhere near good enough for what we paid for it.
The reviews on this page looked pleasing and decided to order some pho to take away. Upon returning home I realised that the beef was raw and in a small plastic bag and the stock was cold. I have ordered Pho many times before take away, and when I called to complain I was told “that’s how it is”.
When you order food you expect it to be ready to eat.
If I had wanted to make it myself I could of gone to the supermarket.
Best Vietnamese place in footscray! A great selection of food, consistently tasty and generous portions.
Food is just as good, if not better, than a very popular Pho restaurant on the same street, plus environment and service are miles better than that rubbish place.give it a try.
Great range of dishes. My favourite for pho. Also recommend the barramundi and monk claypot vegetables with tofu.
