Nice and quick on a Sunday nite. The sauce for the pork spring rolls were amazing!
Hubby loved his fried pork ribs and I’m loving the chicken Pho.

Went here yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised that the food was as it was advertised in the pictures and the taste was amazing too. Definitely coming back in the future. Keep up the amazing food.

Sitting in between Sapa Sister and Sapa Hills on Hopkins St, Footscray, is this authentic Vietnamese restaurant. We walked in to see the owners all sitting down having lunch at the table, and they quickly got up to happily seat us. I thought this was kinda cute. After looking through the menu we saw massive similarities to those next door restaurants, thinking maybe they were all owned by the same people? It was a cold, windy day so we opted for the soup. It was MASSIVE, and full of flavour, there was no way I could finish it. A really nice, fresh, local lunch. The fit out is not modern or fancy at all, very casual.

Delicious food, well priced, and honest staff. I almost ordered more food than i could eat and they told me just the one meal would be enough, rather than leaving me to over-order.

Ordered Bún bò Huế and Special broken rice for dinner on Friday. Total 26 AUD. The place was cozy yet very busy.

The Special broken rice was beautifully presented. It looked extremely appetizing. Perfect to start your meal! The fried egg was perfectly done, yolk still runny. However the taste did not match the presentation, it was not as good. The grilled pork chop was lacking in aroma. Overall the dish was slightly underseasoned.

The Bún bò Huế was one of the better ones you can find in Melbourne Metro area. Broth was flavorful and rich. The proteins were tender and scrumptious.

The staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. There is no surcharge on card payments. Reservations are recommended.

Wouldn't visit again. Food quality was below standard. Plenty of other good offerings around. First time I haven't finished a dish in. I can't even remember the last time.

Food was pretty bland, disappointing for Footscray Vietnamese. Not bad quality, just lacking flavour.

I had the BEST pho of my life here. The grilled chicken pho is so good, so flavourful, so fresh and amazing. Great service, amazing prices, complementary tea- this is my new favourite Vietnamese restaurant <3

Visited a few months ago with a friend and just found the time to write a review. I was really disappointed with your complacency regarding meat-free food. After visiting a nearby popular restaurant and finding no vegetarian Pho there, we left and came to Viet Kitchen since there were more vegetarian options on the menu. We waited a while for our order to be taken and had to wave down the staff. We were really hungry after searching around for restaurants and then waiting around 40mins for our food. Probably quicker to order take-away and go home. On a positive note the staff apologised for the delays and perhaps we went on an unusually understaffed night. But I am not prepared to go back after what happened with the food. As a starter we ordered 8 spring rolls, 4 vegetarian for myself and the other 4 pork for my friend. They came on the same plate, looking the same, with no explanation upon delivery. I then called the waited over who explained the bigger ones were pork, but looking the same, my friend had to try each one to distinguish the filling. They tasted good. A little different to what they normally taste like. After getting the go-ahead to eat 4 spring rolls, the 5th one also got a nod for being vegetarian. Oh no. At this point I realised I most likely ate pork. Some did taste a little different to carrots and cabbage. For future customers, please seperate spring rolls for those who wish to eat meat-free. Overall the Pho was yum, the staff were apologetic about delays, but disappointed since we chose your restaurant for its vegetarian options.

This is our go to place, very friendly / attentive service, seriously yummy Vietanamese Pancakes, salads, special spring rolls (they use rice paper instead of spring roll pastry), and drip coffee. During the Covid-19 outbreak they gave us a free drink whilst waiting in the shop which was nice. Consider supporting VK Kitchen with a phone order for pickup rather than the online delivery services. Highly reccomended, can't go wrong!

I’ve been to many Vietnamese restaurants in Melbourne, but none of them met my expectations, unlike this Viet Kitchen restaurant. The food has the authentic taste, the music is chilled and relaxing, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I’d definitely become a frequent visitor to this restaurant!

Pretty damn good Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of Footscray. Great value, definitely check this place out when you tire of 8bit, Sappa Hills, Up In Smoke, Chinese BBQ, and loads of bowls phö. Or before even

The food is great but everyone who arrived way after us were eating well before us.ordered quite simple dishes and was waiting for 40 minutes before we saw food.

The food flavour was good but not the meat quality. Quick service for our 50 minute lunch break with work. Meals started arriving within 8 minutes & took up to 12 minutes to arrive. There were 7 of us.
The pork chop spring roll bowl was quite nice but the pork was big chunks in very hard to bite bits. The quality of the meat was ok to poor. The herbs were misding but halfway through eating my noodle bowl i found the herb twigs buried under the noodles at the bottom of my bowl.
My colleagues fried rice was good and the others commented their food was reasonable to very good.
I would come back to try another dish, but i would not order the same noodles bowl again. Orice was fair at $11.80 for the noodle bowl, $13.50 for the seafood fried rice.

Genuinely delicious food, extremely cheap, and nice setout. Definition of a great cheap and cheerful restaurants. The specials in particular are unique and delicious and I had not seen many available before:)

I was a regular customer and really like the food, and was going there once every 2 weeks but one day in front of my family and others eating at the restaurant one of the waitresses said that I get fatter every time I go there, which is absolutely unacceptable and rude I was laughed at and people stared at me the whole time. NEVER EVER WILL I GO BACK!
