Food is lovely and staff is attentive and friendly. Great place for dinner and birthday celebration.

I wheeled in in my wheelchair and the person working there said the only place available was in the bar. He said the restaurant was fully booked. I went online to see that there’s tables available to book for a party or three on several platforms.

I didn’t want to be pushed in the corner because I have a disability

Restaurant accessibility is poor and staff need training on access and inclusion and how to effectively communicate with people with a disability.

We went to Osteria20 instead who were very accommodating and accessible.

Fantastic experience. Amazingly flavourful food, friendly and precise service, great setting. We had oyster, the quattro fromage tortellini with seared scallops, gnocchi ragu, lettuce salad (flavour bomb) and fries. The tortellini was my favourite as Im obviously biased towards cheese and scallops but every dish shined on their own.

The food and drinks are delicious, but the prices are horrid, if you want to be over charged for some pretty good food, come here. Left slightly hungry. Cocktails were pretty damn good, they are next level.

We had the set menu dinner on a Thursday night and were very impressed with the whole experience. The speakeasy type vibes were an instant surprise and delight, and the overall ambience felt like we were in a funky venue on Flinders Lane, rather than leafy Hawthorn. Food was top notch, I had the fig insalada for entrees which was fresh and zinging with flavour. Main was the Moreton Bay Bug pasta, whilst the pasta was probably a little too "al dente" the flavours were rocking and melt in your mouth. Finished with the Tiramisu, super boozy but very decadent, rich and of course delicious. Will definitely be back!

We spent a night and enjoyed our dinner banquet. Food were delicious and well presented as always.
The only disappointment is the dessert. We ordered Tiramisu and expected to be a proper serve. However, staff came over and scooped a large spoon from a big bowl, and put onto our plate. I felt a bit unpleasant, especially it’s still COVID-19 now, and I don’t know when this big bowl of tiramisu was made. It was yum after all. I still give 5 star.

Amazing. Had the $45 lunch. Food was top notch and the customer service was amazing. Really enjoyed the whole experience and looking forward to going back

First time visit to the Venetian Bar and Eatery with friends and what a delight!
Nestled in the bustling restaurant precinct of Glenferrie Road in Hawthorn, it’s a busy and welcoming venue and full of people on a Sat evening. Arriving early we enjoyed some well made Negroni’s at the bar and then we’re shown to our table. An easy to navigate menu supplemented by daily specials, attentive and friendly team, good range of Italian and local wines, and really fantastic food! Can be very busy so would recommend booking and definitely going back, Yummo

A somewhat hidden gem in the east, with some of the friendliest and talented staff I've come across. Everyone here is on top of their game, with incredible food offerings. But the bar team really make this place shine- the cocktail list is equal to some of the high end city venues, and they have the skill to put their money where their mouth is.

It's insane how good the pasta tastes in this place. Hands down best pasta place in Melbourne, I had the squid ink pasta, the presentation was alright but once you start you cannot stop! The flavours complement each other well, I especially liked how they used chilli to bring out more of the flavour and a hint of lime to keep the 'seafood' based dish refreshing. Have to try the squid ink dish for once in your life. Definitely a YOLO moment. Can't go back once you have it.

Quality ingredients, friendly service, flavoursome food, and Venetian vibes inside the restaurant. A hidden gem on Glenferrie Rd - def worth a visit.

6 of us met here for a post-Christmas catch-up and we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Everything we had was delicious and the staff were laid back and extremely friendly. The ambience is relaxed and welcoming. I'll be back!

Very impressive Italian bistro with a Venetian theme. I had the risotto with moreton bay bugs and squid ink wafer. There’s only a couple of bits of bug but the dish itself is extremely good. The flavours and the textures are great. My companions also enjoyed their dishes. Service was not bad. It’s a good place.

Great little Italian place! Always busy during the weekend dinner so please do book! The price is a little bit high but it's so worth it. I've been here a couple of times and the quality were very consistent! That's why we kept coming back. The waitresses were very friendly, however there's one waiter with the moustache was looking upset for some reason. I think it was just his bad day. But nevertheless, great food, great wine, and omg GREAT dessert and great time here!

Only average now, i used to like, but they have jacked up their pricing (now more expensive than Flinder lane) ; asked us last night to give $2 to venice floods, when we have people in Australia suffering from bush fires! You guys donate, dont ask your customers, scums!

Great Venetian food. The risotto was divine. Try their arancini.you won't be disappointed. It's reasonably priced for the type of restaurant but definitely isn't cheap eats. Authentic Italian experience.

Absolutely amazing restaurant, from the service to the food to the atmosphere, just astounding! Get the gnocchi, best I've ever had, and let the bar staff pick your drink based on your tastes, not the menu. Can't recommend this place enough.

Excellent service. Well briefed staff-we had a gluten intolerant with us. Worked out at $90 / head for food and wine. No entre. But cheaper by in f you be ea to pasta.

Vaporetto do it so well, with genuine and sincere long serving staff a true testament to a good management model. Always made to feel welcome, the quality of food is consistently amazing as are the daily specials, always worth listening to. The style of the place is suited for formal, casual and family, and they accommodate so well. Keep up the great work Vaporetto, best in Hawthorn and worth thee trip to go there
