The customer service was amazing from everyone. Was some of the best food I have had in my life and for plant based I would have never expected it to be that good. Would 110% recommend tyranny for anyone looking for a beautiful dinner and a fun night out.

The music was really loud though and it was pretty difficult to talk with the people you're with.

Absolutely amazing food everytime Ive eaten here I have never been displeased and the beautiful charismatic staff that bring the food/drink to your table just doubles the greatness of each experience I definitely recommend coming here every chance you get ️️️

Atmosphere and food are great, but what really spoils this place for me is the bar staff. Seems like unless you're a friend or part of an 'in' crowd staff are rude and condescending. After an especially bad experience over the weekend I won't be rushing back any time soon.

Food is awesome here, just wish you could eat outside.weird thing to preference the smokers over the diners? Btw the peking duck was so good we ordered more.and more.so good.

5 stars food the food. Not a fan of the layout of the place but you gotta work with the building I suppose. Good cocktails here as well! The food though.

The food was ok but my god it's unbearably loud in there. The music was turned up so you have to yell at the person you're sitting next to, and then yell over everyone else yelling at their friends. Wait staff are incredibly pushy, definitely not a chill place to have bevs or a meal.

Tha bar is a vibe, love the atmosphere. As for the restaurant this is where it all went wrong.staff poorly trained (set the table my self basically), ordered food and drinks, waited over an hour! Food never came neither did the drink.complained about the food taking so long, said it’s was in its way, waited 15 minutes more and just left.

They didn’t deserve my money. Such a shame for such a cool venue and a vegan restaurant.
They need to get their operations sorted.

It was a really bad experience. They messed up our booking and we had to wait for a free table for 10 minutes. Then the food wasn't good. It has the same poor quality as a fast food place. It is a perfect place for teenagers. We won't come back.

My friends and I were kicked out for no reason. We were buying drinks and just chatting when we got told we had to leave immediately. We weren't even given the chance to finish the drinks that we paid for as we got told "You need to go, I need this table". We also got told that there was no cocktails after 11pm however we then saw that the table next to us were getting served cocktails. Service was poor, waited a while to get another drink after our first round (couldn't even finish our second round drinks because we got kicked out). We then went up to the bar to try and order drinks and got rudely told "table service only" even though no one was serving us. Safe to say we won't be returning nor recommending this bar to any friends.

Hands down my favourite bar. The music is great, great drinks at an even better price and the while vibe is super chilled and Lit at the same time great people and establishment. Massive 10/10 would recommend

The food here is just absolutely delicious. So much flavor in each dish it’s incredible! Even my non-vegan friends love it.

Staff were extremely friendly. Really attentive, Xavier and Alex were impeccable in the bar. All of the cocktails and drinks were on point which maintained my faith in the bar staff and overall service of the venue. 5 stars, will attend again and make my regular stop for delicious drinks and company.

Love this place. Came here for a birthday dinner and one of my friends (female) had a very unpleasant encounter with a group of men when she was trying to use the bathroom. We mentioned it to a staff member whose name I can’t remember but she was absolutely lovely, and they did everything they could to make sure my friend felt safe. They should definitely fix the toilet situation, but other than that the place was great. AMAZING food and drinks, and super laid back staff who really do care. Shoutout to the female staff member who handled the situation. I wish I could remember her name, but I’m sure she knows who she is and she was great.

The half a dozen times or so I've come here over the past year, I've never been disappointed the food/cocktails and service is amazing everytime!

Amazing plant-based menu, whether you’re veggie/vegan or not this place is a must. The staff are so lovely and welcoming. Fab happy hour options and a nice chilled vibe!

Tyranny of Distance is one of my favourite place to go.

We went at 10pm on a Friday night and already only one bathroom cubicle was available because someone was vomiting/passed out in the other. The functioning cubicle had a sink filled with vomit, paper towel and toilet paper rolls, the floor was covered in piss, and of course there was no toilet paper. Absolutely foul.

We've been here a couple of times and have really enjoyed the food and service. The vegan dishes are really tasty and creative. Advise you to book as it gets quite busy. Despite being right near Chapel St it's usually easy to get car park on Union St.
