Two Buoys reviews
84Food was average and expensive. The chicken wings were pretty plain to be honest. The only thing I'd say was good was the waiter.
I went out for dinner to Two Buoys last night with a group of 8 friends.
The cocktails were absolutely delicious, I highly recommend the "Off to SA" cocktail.
It was a long weekend so the restaurant was very busy which did result in some wait time for drinks and food.
The staff were quite friendly but clearly very busy.
Even though it was tapas the food portions were very small and not overly filling. But the quality of the dishes were amazing.
Took the family out for lunch on Easter Saturday. We ordered a variety of meals Including the garlic crab linguine, steak, chicken breast and swordfish. I was surprised that there is no kids menu and the service was slow. The linguine and swordfish were both tasteless. Steak was very average. As I paid, I mentioned it to the bar staff. They replied “tuff”. Paid $415 including a $54 public holiday fee, which was not mentioned during reservation. I’d rather eat at the fish and chips shop next door next time.
Didn’t live up to the expectation, service was
Poor, orders were forgotten, Ran out of food on the menu, extremely slow to get food out and it wasn’t busy! I really wanted to like this place but couldn’t give this one the thumbs up.
Loved our visit here. Excellent food and drinks, really above and beyond customer service. The staff gave us the impression they genuinely wanted us to have a lovely evening and we did. Will be back!
Ocean views, live music, always friendly and outstanding service. Two Buoys is not only a great venue, it's magic on a summer evening.
I enjoyed the food, very approachable staff, neat and tidy restaurant with a beautiful sunset on the background where mountain meets the sea.
Sunday morning 10.30am and they don't serve food, how rediculous. It's 2020 not 1981 get with the time. Ordered coffee but all the takeaway orders got prioritied before us. Please learn hospitality 101!
We had the seafood platter for two and it was sensational with a nice mix of fish, crustaceans, and shellfish. The service was attentive and the ambience was relaxing, definately recommend.
Great "Prawn" salad which actually has salmon.
Food has 0 taste only thing good is the atmosphere and the band
Went down with a group last Sunday afternoon for drinks and it was great. Drinks were more than reasonable price wise and we had a few nibbles and listened to some good music. It was a good afternoon and a nice spot out there on the deck. Really recommend it and the place has a great ambience. Plan to go back. Oh and really good service as the staff were really attentive.
The service we recieved from our waiters was great, even though they were clearly understaffed and it felt like the customers in the wine 'tapas' bar next door were forgotten about a bit. We ordered the blue carb linguine and the prawn and smoked salmon salad. There was honestly less than 20g of crab in the linguine, rendering it essentially a bowl of pasta with oil on it. Given that it also was advertised on the menu as "linguine " it was strange there was also spaghetti in it, I'm not sure if the chef knows they have different cooking times. The prawn salad was essentially a plate of spinach with some frozen prawns on top with ripped up pieces of packet smoked salmon. Overpriced and really poor quality food.
Very disappointed in the quantities. Not value for money at all. Left hungry! Never go there again!
Not a bad spot to sit and enjoy a meal across the road from the beach. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, Tapas were nice and decent beer and wine list.
The wine list is very impressive, the surrounds nice, with friendly staff but this is where it stopped for me. The food just isn’t up to par. All reads well on the menu which creates excitement but fails to deliver. Suggest to give this one a miss
Decidedly average tapas - lackluster presentation and bland garnishing. The sauces tasted like they were from supermarket shelves.
Back to the drawing board Bouys
Nice wait staff, attentive service and food is not bad, wouldnt say it was spectacular but it was good enough, we ordered white bait only for the waitress to tell us they dont have it, I think staff should let you know about menu items they are out of when you are seated thats my only criticism. We had the barramundi, saganaki, fish & chips and oysters kilpatrick.
Great tapas bar on the beach. Has two sides, one of is the restaurant, which serves full meals, so you can do both.
Wine list is great. Prices aren't in the 'cheap-eats' variety but the food is very good and worth it.
One of our peninsula faves to sit in the tapas bar and have a couple of vinos and a few plates to share.
The food was mostly really good, the arancinis were still frozen in the middle and no one was game enough to touch the prawn salad when it came out.
The manager was really good though and took the salad off the bill. He also offered to take the arancinis off, but we did eat those, and they were still tasty, so we were happy to pay for those.
The vibe was good, it was busy when we were there. The cocktails are really nice also.
Food was great but has gone downhill. Staff friendly however very confused in what we ordered. As it is a quiet time of the year I am surprised st the lack of organisation. As far a a business up for sale it is a great chance to come in cheap and buy the business with room to grow and build a strong reputation.
