Two Birds One Stone reviews
60 Haven't eaten this great if a lunch in a long time, on a random walk-in in South Yarra. While we were there, there were firetrucks outside in the street, alarms going off everywhere, but we were being told not to worry.
The service, with everything going on, was incredibly friendly and the food, for me a Shakshuka, for my lunch partners something else, was absolutely amazing. Will visit again for certain.
Amazing food. Great breakfast and spicy chai latte. Good to come back to this place after almost a year and having a Saturday branch.
Great brunch restaurant, quick service and really friendly staff! The ricotta hot cakes are divine! Definitely a must have and they’re filling as well! Clean dining area And simple but chic decor
The most unique french toast texture I’ve ever tried
FOOD: I ordered the Twice Cooked Brioche French Toast as it is dubbed one of Melbourne’s very best! I can’t tell if I love it or not but I think it’s safe to say it is good! In terms of flavour, its amazing! The combination is simple but also done well so the bananas, chocolate sauce and anglaise compliment the french toast and macadamia praline but what is confusing me is the french toast texture. Now I don’t know what ‘twice cooked’ means exactly but from my opinion, it tastes almost.pudding-like? If that makes sense? HAHAHAH it didn’t taste like bread anymore? Don’t get me wrong, it still had that amazing french toast but it tasted like a pudding, like undercooked bread so. I’m not sure if I love it but it is a very special texture and flavour!
SERVICE: Service is pleasant and friendly!
Situated in chic South Yarra, Two Birds One Stone is a beautiful cafe. It’s abit small but it’s lovely for just chilling and relaxing! If you want to try something abit different from a regular french toast but still want french toast, don’t hesitate giving TBOS a try! Also, the portion is humongous so its definitely worth it!
Very slow and unprofessional service. The food and coffee was good but the price did not reflect the overall experience.
A good brunch spot in south Yarra!
A strong Melbourne brunch menu with a great cafe vibe!
You can get healthy dishes to delightful stacks of pancakes!
Great coffee, lovely service.
Would go back
My girlfriend recommend this place. At first I was a bit hesitant but after trying the food I was completely converted. This place was so good that I now want to move apartments to this area so I can come more often. The coffee is one of the best I’ve tried in Melbourne and that’s saying something! Would recommend the salmon all day long!
Super crowded and busy cafe. Food is exceptional although getting little slow when it's packed. Well-priced
Fantastic staff, coffee and food. Also really great value considering the quality. The chilli eggs special was insane!
My go to for brekky and coffee when staying in South Yarra recently. Good food, coffee, lovely light and airy atmosphere and the staff are attentive and helpful. Great experience all up! The brunchy options are a real treat - recommend the pork belly:)
Delicious! Big meals, delicious coffee and quick service. I live in the northern suburbs, but will happily cross the river to come back here soon!
Large menu with inventive brunch options. Great service and coffee. Serving size could be better but will definitely be back!
Friendly service, delicious and beautifully presented food, and great coffee. The beetroot purée is a wonderful addition to the eggs benedict. A very pleasurable experience.
This cafe is tucked down a side street just off Toorak Rd. It has a great vibe and is always pumping. The food is fantastic. I recommend the Sautéed mixed mushrooms and the Confit duck salad. The coffee is promptly delivered and tastes awesome.
Chill atmosphere with solid music
Elite coffees and even better people
Definitely head in, couldnt reccomend more
Prompt service, accommodating staff and delicious coffee and food. This place has a lively atmosphere yet I was able to just zone out into the bustle of the bar area while sipping on a tasty cup of batch brew.
The food is really nice but the service was very slow. I don't know if it's because we were outside but we waited forever. I asked for an Iced Coffee with no Ice Cream and have been handed a short black with ice cubes. Not really what I expected.
Love two birds! The ricotta pancakes are to die for! Coffee is great. Always get very friendly service.even when they are busy. I’ve also sat in there mid morning by myself and only had one coffee and never felt pushed to order more. So surprised to read a review below saying portions are small they are absolutely massive! I can never finish a dish.
It's a friendly cafe. The staff is happy to welcome you, and if there isn't a table available they will find you a seat at the bar or at the window seat.
The food is consistent and interesting. The coffee is great. I live in Sydney but Two Birds is my choice of cafe for breakfast each time I spend a night or two in Melbourne.
We had heard many great things about this place. However our experience this Sunday morning was quite the opposite. We don't mind paying the price for good food and drinks, but the price did not reflect the overall experience. The food serving was small, flavorless and poorly presented. The coffee and smoothie were something that you wouldn't expect from a Melbourne cafe. The cafe was really busy, the service was fantastic, it's just a shame about the food and drinks.
