Two Birds One Stone reviews
60Pretty and tasty looking food and good location. We got the Soba noodle salad and brulee french toast. The soba noodle salad can be a hit or miss and it was a miss for me, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
This is the gold standard of breakfast & brunch in South Yarra. Before I lived in Melbourne, I found myself visiting this cafe more than once and since living in the area have visited countless times. The only thing that keeps me away is the sheer volume and popularity which means I'm not able to grab a seat sometimes.
I've eaten my way through the menu and there is very little that I wouldn't recommend. My personal favourite is the Ham Hock Eggs Benedict - a delicious spin on traditional benedict which includes a gorgeous betroot smear, tantilisingly flavour packed ham hock patties, perfectly poached eggs resting on delicious hollandaise. My other favourites include the soba noodle salad which is plentiful, fresh and filling. Also the Breakfast Board, and the hotcakes. The only thing I would recommend are the burgers (sorry team - it's too messy to eat and falls apart like a house of cards mid meal).
The staff and extremely charismatic owner are a key reason to return - they are kind, quick to service and manage to actually hold a conversation. There are obviously huge stress points during breakfast and lunch rushes but I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a meal.
Outside the rushes, the atmosphere is really lovely - expect lo-fi serene beats playing in the background with gorgeous natural light, spacious seating and high windows which really let the light in. This is my #1 recommended place for eating in Melbourne.
The Big Board was really big. So big that two people can share one serving for their breakfast. However, the Chicken Burger had so little burger and so much chips and garnish that I could not taste the chicken in it. The place is also quite small that you had to share tables with others.
Nice restaurant, friendly staff but the food was average. I got scrambled egg with a side of bacon, for an additional $7. When there was no butter for the toast and it came to the table it was only a single strip of bacon.for $7 extra?
Good coffee, but I won't be back for food
I was looking for a good café for a team lunch and this spot was an obvious choice. The diverse menu meant there was something for everyone and they were really accommodating for dietary preferences.
Fresh, wholesome ingredients in each dish catered for the health conscious and discerning tastebuds in our small group. Generous portion sizes meant we left with very full bellies.
Friendly and attentive service throughout and the orders arrived in good time despite the big group. They even let us pay separately. This is a return visit for me and probably not the last because every experience has been consistently good.
Highly recommend this brunch place, stay at South Yarra for a week, went to this Cafe for like four times! The food and the coffee are great!
Incredible, incredible. Have had breakfast and lunch there dozens of times and will continue to go there even if having to drive 40 minutes. No else where I'm having my breakfasts
That was a rude and embarrassing experience. I normally come here once a week, this time we were kicked off a table outside when there were 4 other tables available. I was in queue to order, don't really understand why you have to be like that. It's not exactly booked out.
Best Cafe in South Yarra. My personal favorite. Very cozy ambience and scrumptious food. French inspired menu to choose from. Great for breakfast, brunch or lunch.
I was amazed at the standard of service and the beautiful presentation. I had Gnocchi, sweet potatoe fries and matcha tea. The serving size were generous and everything was very well presented.
Our host also ordered a fresh vege platter which was surprisingly good. It felt so good to munch on freshly cut carrots, radishes and cucumbers with dips. The fruit platter was also very appealing with thinly sliced grapefruit and pineapple slices. Kudos to the chef and kitchen staff for their hardwork and to the very attentive waitstaff. Well done.
This is a new establishment which definitely deserves more patronage. I would strongly recommend Two birds and one stone for work drinks and end of year celebrations. Very reasonable prices and excellent service.
I had this café on my list for the longestttt time and I finally got to check it out this weekend and it DID NOT disappoint. The quality and the taste of food was unbeatable
What I ordered:
Peri Peri Chicken Salad
Ricotta Pancake
Breakfast Board
Food was okay, tables were awfully close to each other and when I poured the water some floaties came out. Service was good.
Booked a table the day before for my wife and I. Get there and we are asked to wait outside before we seated. Fair enough, they were obviously very busy. It’s now past eleven the time we booked for. It was pretty cold in Melbourne, this Sunday so not the best. Anyway we were happy to wait. Eventually a very harried waiter abruptly pointed an outside table. He barely made eye contact. Didn’t apologise for making us wait outside in the cold and that it was way past our booking time. Why did we bother booking. Very disappointed and your establishment won’t be seeing me again. Fail.
One of the exquisite café in Prahran is Two Birds and I do not doubt that. They have everything of top-notch quality like food, service, ambiance, taste, etc.
Mother's day my son and his wife took us me out for lunch. Lovely service and home style bean chowder
Your search for a vegan café in Armadale that can end at Two Birds café. Being one of the coziest cafés in the vicinity, this place is so calm and serene.
I suppose, Two Birds One Stone is the best cafe near me serving all my favorite dishes and the best coffee. I love being at the café at least once a week.
My favorite place to have brunch in Melbourne is the Two Birds Café. Their menu is quite tempting and their service is high-quality. I enjoy my latte with their pancakes, served more deliciously.
Two Birds One Stone Café in South Melbourne is the best café to have your morning coffee at. Their breakfast too is unbeatable. Must visit once.
Every day the cafe would get busy since early morning, nice food and services, coffee just average, they are famous in South Yarra but a llllittle bit pricy
