Trinket Bar Melbourne reviews
78Do you like velvet? How about a sneaky secret wardrobe door down to a speakeasy? You'll love the classy, glamour and old world cheap chic here, we did!
Took a while to be seated on a not-busy night. Waking through the wardrobe is a novel experience.but not waiting 20 minutes for 2 cocktails.
If you like the "food hall" vibe with Covid safe vest wearing staff who don't allow you to go to the toilet without wearing your mask - even though you can sit at a table in EXACTLY THE SAME SPACE without a mask, then go ahead. I can't imagine I'll come back. First impressions
The food was great, particularly the arancini balls - the elements are there for it to be as amazing as it promises to be - it just sadly missed the mark.
Have edited my review due to being met with such a courteous response.
Will review again after re-visiting.
Really nice! Very busy, you definitely need a reservation, and it can get very loud, but the pizza was great and the red wine sangria was one of the better ones I've tried!
Slow service - had the Meatball Bruschetta it was delicious, very awesome fit out with an epic secret bar via the hidden Narnia wardrobe!
The bar behind the hidden closet.
To get behind the bar area, you need to open the closet, and walk through the clothes to go down to the secrete bar area. It’s pretty funny to have to enter that way. The automatic door closes behind after you entered.
The bar is nice with nice selections of alcohol and food. Pretty efficient service and nice atmosphere. I would recommend here.
Great place! The food is delicious and fresh. The pizza is a must! Great cocktails, friendly staff, nice atmosphere and reasonable price! I'll definitely come back!
A cosy, chill and hidden little gem in melbourne's cbd - literally hidden!
enter via the wardrobe - push through the coats and the door will magically open for you! - there isnt too much space so bookings is recommended (especially if ur coming as a group)
they serve up an array of signature cocktails that are unique to trinket, as well as other standard n must have cocktails
my personal favourite off the Signature list was The Perfectionist, and Vintage Charm (its an espresso martini but with a twist!)
I came to trinket for an after dinner drink with a girlfriend. The bar was half empty and I was told that they were at capacity and to leave. A couple walked in shortly after my friend and I, they didn’t have a booking but were served. I am disappointed with the service and won’t be back.
This place is absolutely amazing. There is a hidden closet bar which is even more fun.
A seperate booking needs to be made for hidden closet bar.
Wide range of cocktails with perfect food.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Music is good.
The fresh pizzas, with good music and drinks makes a perfect night.
Signature cocktails are must try.
Dark and moody, Trinket oozes elegance, and the hidden bar gives adds a bit of cheekiness to experience. The cocktails are amazing, and sitting by the fireplace sipping a cocktail is the perfect way to spend a cold winter day.
The amaretto sour was the worse I’ve had. Way too sweet. The food was mediocre. No real customer service, the people looked like they didn’t want to be there, no follow ups etc.nice place but It was overrated and not what it looked like in the viral Instagram post I saw it from.
Amazing interior and cocktails, but music is very disappointing. It’s like they play hits of early 2000s because of they want you to leave asap
A cosy place to hang out with friends for a drink and food. I was there on a busy Friday night after work which made the service a tad slow. Was able to extend our booking for an extra 2.5 hours which was great, but had to leave after that. What ever happened to the times where you could settle in for the night at a venue without having to worry about when your time is up? Anyway, great place, would recommend.
Warm and welcoming bar, with accommodating seating, and if you know where to look, a wardrobe that leads to something more than just ya grandma's old jackets.
Loved the secret door to downstairs and most amazing cocktails! Service was also really good the whole time, had a shot with assuming the manager to celebrate my friend had quit her job, legend!
We started by opting for the feed me option on the menu, and ordering two beers. The first of which arrived and the second one took 20mins and became a cocktail, so after explaining we didn't order the cocktail it was rectified.
The first part of our meal arrived, cold, warm at push, and the big issue was we had no cutlery and no sharing plates and no water (pretty simple stuff) Fingers it was as there was no staff around to help, same applies for the table next to us.
The beer finally arrived.
The complete lack of service meant we sat with empty plates for quite some time before a different waiter approached to ask if we wanted our second course.
Ignored from then on, again, our sides were pretty average, two tiny pieces of mozzarella in the salad and the coleslaw was completely inedible, more salt than Port Philip sea water.
We sent the coleslaw back, after we had finished our other plates and where told we would have it replaced with something else, because, let's be honest, you don't really just eat a plate of coleslaw in a restaurant.
But, a second plate of said coleslaw arrived, but we politely declined.
The only redeeming factor was the pizza, it was actually good. And I guess the price if the food was hot I could probably deal with no service.
Would not risk it a second time.
This lovely little bar, was very interesting with its decor.the nic nacs and furniture complimented each other. We had a pizza that was scrumptious and a couple of beers as well a friendly chat with the barman. Totally enjoyed our lunch
Went to Trinket for pre dinner drinks we entered the wardrobe to the hidden bar downstairs where it was a bit more private. Great staff who were very friendly and super helpful! Definitely one to try in Melbourne!
