Tokyo Tina reviews
78I’d give it 6 stars if I can. The food was amazing and the main fish dish was definitely the highlight in terms of flavour. The devilled egg was a feast for the tastebuds. The customer service is definitely the cherry on top. Reply lovely people.
Food was delicious & everything was reasonably priced. The manager was great and knew her stuff when it came to suggestions.
It's not surprising this place has been a roaring success and a chapel staple for years now. They have done great with the decor and the food is always delicious.
It's one of the few places I've ordered a banquet and not been disappointed - often I get to the end of a banquet and feel like it wasn't worth the $$$ but man, Tokyo Tinas 'all in' was great - everything was super tasty and the dishes just kept coming, felt like a good value for money. Worth mentioning their cocktails are also great. It's not a place for cheap eats, but the quality is there.
Great drinks and experience, service from wait staff is so personalised.
Really cute date spot - cocktails are awesome!
Some dishes may come out super expensive, best to order more mains than bite sized dishes for value.
The food was very greasy and poorly presented. I felt deflated paying a premium price for food I didn’t want to eat. The gyoza was cold, the pastry soggy and meat dry… The meal got worse from there.
Still thinking about this food months later. Got a Veggie banquet and it was to die for. Everything was literally perfect. As in every bloody dish that came out! When does that ever happen? Customer service is pretty good! Found they were very on top of clearing tables, refilling water and were friendly. Sitting inside the venue is definitely recommended, originally we were put outside the front of the closed neighbouring venue which we didn’t enjoy at all because of the lack of vibe but staff were accommodating and moved us inside when they got a chance to! Will definitely be back when I get the chance and until then will crave it everyday!
Staff super nice, but the girl that looked mostly after us was great.food was sooo yummy, lots of Gluten Free options And they cater for other allergies too.
Def I’ll come back
Thought the service was good, with great food recommendations given. Good vibes while also maintaining intimate setting.
Came here for bottomless brunch for a friends 40th. Was sad to find out “due to Covid” they couldn’t do it. I’m not sure what Covid has to do with serving a particular menu, but we did the feed me menu instead which was delicious. There were no real bad dishes, everything was excellent. The chicken, beef, crispy sticky eggplant and donuts were my favs. Will definitely come again.
Wow I honestly wanted to try everything on this menu! Such a good Asian fusion restaurant with delicious food and cocktails. The kingfish sashimi was phenomenal and the crab tostada is a must have! My partner really enjoyed the karaage and pork belly bao as well.
Great experience, helpful and fun staff, definitely a must try. Fully recommend the feed me menu, good price and lots of food. Great options for vegetarians, star dish by far was the sticky eggplant. Can't wait to come back for more delicious food.
Everything was wonderful!
The foods, stuffs and drinks. Great atmosphere and area. I recommend you the crispy corn. The salmon pretty nice tho! Yum! Yum!
Food and service was great. Excellent hipster atmosphere with lighting so dark you can barley read the menu.impossible to go wrong anyway. We went the standard ‘all in’ and it was all great!
The Bibimbap is absolute win. I regret not going here before since I’ve been living around this area for some time now. The waitresses are so welcoming and is a fun place to be.
Bar with dishes designed to share. Perfect option to go with a group of friends. I loved the eggplant and okonomiyaki.
We really enjoyed our time at Tokyo Tina. What made the exceptional food even better was the staff. The front of house and our waitress had great energy and showed a good level of attentiveness, really adding to the night. The vegan feed me menu was excellent, we were soooo full by the end!
Kingfish sashimi and beef tataki were to die for.
The crispy pork tasted more German than anything though - which it incorporated more Japanese flavouring
We loved the food at this upscale Asian eatery. Every dish we tried was really delicious and there are options for cozy dining or bar seating with a wide selection of drinks. This place is definitely a highlight of the many restaurants available on Chapel Street.
First time having Japanese. It was amazing. I'm a fussy eater and there was nothing I didn't like. We will definitely be back.
Brilliant take on Japanese cuisine. Attentive and friendly staff. The stand outs are definitely the karaage chicken and the bao although the eggplant is a close runner up.
