Tokui Sushi

I’m Japanese I know good sushi. Rice is soft and they use good amount of vinegar in it, their sushi tastes always fresh anytime I visit. You can’t get sushi for this price in Australia! I can’t go anywhere else anymore.
Don’t forget cash!

Tokui has been serving $2 sushi rolls for close to 15 years now. The are a cash only business but that’s completely fine.

The sushi is great, with one of the best being the tamago (Japanese omelette), packed full of fillings and always fresh due to the high turnover. The service is quick and to the point but still friendly.

If you are a student on a budget or a worker looking for a cheap lunch you cannot go wrong.

Phenomenal sushi. Just make sure to take cash with you as they don’t use eftpos, which is understandable given the sushi are $2 each.

$2 roll and $6 sushi box. Must be the cheapest in Australia? Tasty and fresh, friendly service too.

Really good sushi at the most reasonable price! There can be a queue to order which is a good sign, and I recently recommended it to one of my girlfriends who got hooked! Although it can lack the range of flavours of other sushi stores and is cash-only, the quality is great for the price - I won't go to any other sushi place in the city but Tokui!

Quick and cheap. $2 per sushi but cash only. Cheapest place so far. Most important sushi is good overthere.

My go-to sushi place! Super cheap, affordable, quick and friendly service. The sushi is also super tasty with a wide selection of different ones. They also offer sashimi. However, recently their rolls have been getting smaller hence the 4 stars. I don't mind a slight price increase as long as the rolls are as generous as previous visits.

The first time I came in Melbourne when I found Tokui sushi, I realized was the cheapest in town and the quality is also great for a takeaway. Always fresh and good range of choice. I also brought here a few Japanese and they told me that taste as in Japan.

Good staff, great service. Not too many tables. Cash only, everyone! Good atmosphere and you can see them making sushi as well which is super cool. It's $2.00-2.20 per sushi roll.
