Time Out Fed Square reviews
79Good food, pretty great service given they were flat out but we did get given dirty plates/glasses. Otherwise would be 5 stars. Beautiful outlook of fed square, the Yarra and Melbourne City
We had brunch there on the weekend we ordered latte's which arrived luke warm.
Our meals where hit and miss, some ordered fat chips with their meal @ an extra $5 and got a measly amount of chips.
Will not return again.
Our server was helpful and friendly though.
It was a good location to go and grab a drink however it was not worth the wait.
I ordered two beers and some food. I was shown to the table and they did give us some water. I was sitting outside with my friend. After 20 mins there was no sign of any waiter or food. All the customers who came after us were served. So I called out to one of the waiter and I asked him to atleast get a beer. He seemed very confused. He went to the counter and they were discussing and it seemed the waiter messed up our order. And it was not so busy either. We waited for an hour or so to get our order. 30 mins to get a beer and another 20 mins to get food.so this is the service.
Dropped in to Time Out Fed Square with my disability group for Saturday lunch and could not be happier. We had called ahead on Friday and Michelle arranged a few menu items at special pricing since some members of my group struggle for funding. Great food, amazing staff and that understanding attitude really made our day trip to the city something special. Thanks Time Out!
A wonderful lunch place.
We sat outside in the sun. Food and service all wonderful. Lots of seagulls unfortunately.
Not bad. Was able to accommodate my request for gf meal, although it would have been nicer if the toast had been buttered as it was rather dry
We had a group of 12 for brunch on a busy Saturday morning. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating and the food and drink orders all came through in a good amount of time. The food orders which had numerous changes were all correct and the food was delicious. We will definitely be visiting this cafe again.
Not a great experience
I had a hot chocolate which was bitter and tasted burnt
I ended up putting 3 packs of sugar in to make it drinkable
Will give it another go
But probably not for a while
Great nachos
Great cocktails
Great cocktail deal after 3pm
Great place to start your city trip
Lots of space indoors and outdoors (lots of covered outdoor space)
I think the food was great but the chicken pizza rarely had chicken pieces on top. Otherwise, great service and food came out at a reasonable time
The federation square is a great place aside from the beach to get that well needed sun kiss, an Oasis indeed!
We ordered from Time Out Fed Square and had our food delivered to our chosen place of relaxation in the area.
Food was fantastic goes together with the view but was bit disappointed with the orange juice (not in the photo, apologies for not being able to take a photo of it) too much ice, almost half of the plastic cup was ice.
Expect that prices are a bit higher than the standard cafes, first I think is because of the location and the experience you get to have.
Food was good. Service was lacking. Not sure if waiter forgot to put our order in but tables that ordered after us were served first, one having eaten and left before we got our small order of chips and pizza.
Cocktails were nice and fair priced
Qr code ordering didn't work which if it had would have made up for lack of wait staff on busy evening
The place is nice.no many people were there and nevertheless, we waited 45 minutes for 1 pizza.the order hasn't been taken into account.
After a check with the server, she brought us the pizza.it was good but very simple.nothing give me the want to come back
I don't recommend this restaurant!
Understaffed and average food. When you ask for dressing on the side with a salad. I didn't expect a dressed salad and extra dressing on the side.
Waited half an hour for drinks and the food was slow. Pleasant waitress. Close to the station so good location for catching up with friends
Great views of the city, amazing food. Highly recommend the salt and pepper calamari entree. One the tastiest calamari dishes I’ve had. The young blonde Irishman from Cork was a delight, best service I’ve had in a long time. Coffee was nice and hot, not bad at all.
Cocktails were lovely. Service has really improved since my last visit. The food is very fresh and tasty. Would definitely go again when in town again.
Worst birthday dinner ever. Charging $24 for a platter that mainly comes with a whole soft homebrand looking baguette with one slice of brie cheese (yes, one thin slice), mustard, pickles in a dipping plate, and source. Oh! I also forgot about the horrible leg hams that served with the platter, it was not the type of leg hams that you can eat with baguette, it is the one that you can use for s sandwich! Considering the quality of platters in other places in CBD in the same price range, this platter is not even worth for $10!
BTW this is how the platter is served in this place! So it would be better to avoid it!
BTW we also ordered pizza and pasta, they both tasted pretty bad for the price.
Great food and cocktails. Bit of confusion with service so this is my minus star rating reason. Definitely would go back though.
I visited this cafe today and really enjoyed my brekky! I ordered the pancakes which were delicious; very filling and sweet, the ice cream on top was a great alternative As opposed to a huge dollop of butter. The menu has tons of breakfast and lunch (after 11: 30am) option to choose from. A colleague of mine had the Eggs Benedict which tasted great as well. Service was friendly and very fast for how busy the restaurant was. We sat outside and were warm enough under the heaters to enjoy our meal. My only negative for this place was their long black coffee was a bit bitter, and they don’t have any sort of flavouring to be added into lattes! Wish I could’ve had a caramel latte instead of just a plain one. It’s also $1 extra to substitute almond milk, differing from nearby cafes that usually only charge $0.50-$0.70 cents extra. Nonetheless, the food was great and being right in the centre of Fed. Square, it’s a great central location to meet up with people! Would recommend this cafe if you don’t have any of the concerns I listed.
Had fried chicken burger here before heading to theater, the most delicious fried chicken burger ever! Highly recommend it.
