Time Out Fed Square

The service was one of the worst I have had. Our drinks were sent back because 3 out of 4 of our glasses were dirty.
The staff waiting on tables never came to our table we hadto go to the counter to ask for service. Our food was okay but after finishing we had another drink and the dirty dishes sat at our table until we left. The place was not busy just poorly managed. Would not recommend. Cost us over $250.00 for lunch for 4 adults and 2 children with 2 drinks each.

Loved the baileys cocktail and the thai chicken salad, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, overall nice place to eat/snack/drink

Great if you want to pay $26 for greasy chorizo, bacon which appeared cooked in an oily pan and and soggy hash browns which tasted of old cooking oil. Field Mushroom was just black cut into 4 pieces and braised? Unripe barely cooked tomato. Unappealing. All served piled up on a serving plate designed to fit 1 or 2 pieces of toast. Very poor quality for $26. Sorry I didn't post a photo. Outrageous. I did complain politely and response was zero. Don't spend your money here. Shameful if tourists think this is the standard of Melbourne dining.

Conventiently located at Federation Square. Have been here a couple of times before attending events at MCG and Rod Laver.

Ordered a range of starters and a couple of burgers. Mid range pricing for meals. Group of 6 people with drinks, 2 mains, 5 entrees, 2 bowls of chips and 5 drinks $230.

We were all very happy with our meals. I will say though the price of the meatballs was over the top for a serving of 3 and 2 slices of toast. Prawns was 4 in total $18.00.

This is a really tough review for me! I took the family to eat here before a NGV exhibition and all four of us has vastly different meals. The service was great, the prices were as expected and the quality of food was fantastic but. 3 of us went away with stomach aches and felt sick for the rest of the afternoon/evening. We are absolute that we felt this was from the food there and I can only hope the food prep and cleanliness is faultless it the back.
This is why I find this review difficult, it's because the food did taste wonderful and everything else was as it should've been but the aftermath was disastrous. I guess this review is aimed more at management than the customer as I'd still recommend Time Out as place to eat for sure.

It was a n8ce place great service the only thing was the good was very nice but chicken parmigiana was cold by the time we received it but overall a nice experience

I was there today with friends from out of town. My husband and I had been there pre-Covid times and had a really delicious meal. However today was a complete let down. My small Margherita pizza was just covered in regular tomato paste, some cheese and three big caterpillar eaten pieces of basil. The base was not homemade and was like cardboard. I am generally not a bad reviewer but it truly was that bad. Others in our group had the calamari entree, Thai chicken salad, gnocchi and some kind of sandwich. Everyone said their meal was average at best and presentation was very bad - ie the meals looked unimpressive. Add to that 1 coffee, 1 sav blanc, 1 peroni beer and 2 non-alcoholic drinks and the meal came to $160. I am assuming the chef left during lockdown and they have employed someone in the kitchen with very poor skills. A great shame that an eatery in the centre of town is so bad. Gives Melbourne a bad name when Melbourne is a wonderful food city.

Excellent food and drink. Amazing staff and service too. Great spot for a quick bite or a long lunch. One of the great spots in the city of Melbourne.

Time Out had a decent selection of delectable dishes with a stunning view of the Melbourne City. Their prices were reasonable, but one thing I'd noticed after visiting it several times was that their portion sizes varied greatly from one another. One meal could fill me up really easily and with another I needed to order entree and side dishes with. Still a nice little restaurant though, with an outdoor dining area.

On Easter Monday my little family and I decided to have lunch at Timeout before heading to Sea Life. I ordered steak and hubby ordered Benedict & a bowl of chips. When it came out it looked absolutely Devine. It also tasted amazing. However I was really disappointed because there was plastic found under my steak half way through! I was so shattered coz I was enjoying it. I immediately let staff know and addressed the issue. We both got put off from this experience and lost our appetite with the rest our meal. We walked out pretty unhappy! I hope this would not happen to any other customer! Only giving it a 2 star bc overall the meal was great and staff handled the matter well.

Entrees of Arancini and salt and pepper calamari were quite nice. Then it fell apart. The lamb pizza, had reasonable taste but was terribly soggy. Then to cap it all off they forgot to bring out my wife's risotto, which our son was also having and received. After a token apology, they said they'd get it done, after waiting 5mins we cancelled it as we were heading out to a show. There was no suggestion of any discount or concessions for our dissatisfaction. An extremely over priced restaurant for what u get.

Great convenient location with good service. Choice to dine inside or outside is available. The quality of the food is okay, it's nothing special unfortunately and the lack of a kids menu was really disappointing.

If you're dining outside in summer, don't forget to wear a hat and put some sunscreen on, the sun can pack a bite! Also worth noting, the bathrooms for this venue are located outside the restaurant.

Great spot near the station food is great. The mango cocktail wasn’t really that good sadly didn’t look or taste like a cocktail for $18.
But really friendly staff.

The food was tasty and filling, the folks there are nice and the scenery of the place pretty neat.

Went for dinner here on our stay in Melbourne. Instantly after we ordered my Parmi came out (must have been already cooked by mistake for another customer?) My wife sat there & watched me eat while she waited another 20 minutes for her meal. Then oddly our entree came out last. The food was terrible! Pizza slices could not be picked up it was so sloppy. The Prawn Sliders had 3 to 4 tiny pieces of prawn meat in them, was all bread. The Parmi must have been sitting there & was half cold. Absolutely Disgusting, an Embarrassment to Melbourne Dinning.

Great spot, and good service. But, quite expensive for what you get.
Calamari was good; as was sweet potato chips. Gnocchi was small. Cheesecake too dense.

Wonderful.we sat indoors in cool air-conditioned comfort.terrific menu.great service.food was delicious! We will return!
