Tien Dat Restaurant reviews
80Best Vietnamese restaurant I have ever been to! Cheap, quick service and the food is amazing! An institution in the Eastern Suburbs!
Ate late Friday night 9th November.
Duck hand rolls freshly made to order, Tom yum soup superb, spicy fish juicy and fresh.
Still the best restaurant in Box Hill and that's saying something
Nice food with vegetarian range. Very authentic Vietnamese cuisine, might be paying a bit more than your average Viet restaurant but worth the try. Food is great
Amazing food and great service! Loved it. Each course better than the next. The staff were very accommodating of our little one and pram, and friendly. Must visit when in the area.
Been coming here regularly for over 15 years. Best restaurant in Carrington Rd. Recently renovated. Food is all great, whatever you choose. The duck hand-rolls for entree are spectacular! Sweet potato curry with roti is a favourite, as is bun. Two sittings can make it feel a bit rushed sometimes.
Awful customer service. Staff walk around staring at the walls and floor. They just ignore customers. Don't spend your money to be ignored.
Great food, not overly expensive. Nicely renovated a couple of years ago. I had a sweet chilli pork which was delicious.
Service was fine, nothing outstanding
Dont let the upmarket renovation (which is actually quite nice and modern) fool you. This place is not much better that the standard fare Vietnamese restaurants in Box Hill, Richmond or Springvale. Food is okay and service was good. Biggest let down was the fried ice cream, which had been either defrosted prior to frying, fried too long or waited beneath the heat lamp prior to being served. Almost all of the ice cream beneath the crispy outside was melted (and warm).
Lovely place. It's nicely decorated and the atmosphere is
very relaxing.
Food is all great, whatever you choose.
The duck hand-rolls for entree are spectacular and the
sweet chili pork is delicious too.
I can say this is one of the best Vietnamese food restaurants in Box Hill!
First of all the food was really very nice- although my pho was too salty and had no brisket in side which is what I ordered (when I brought this to the waiter attention he shrugged and did nothing). I liked that my entree and main were well spaced out in timing. I didn't like that the waiter stood within 1metre of me the entire time I ate and stared at me while doing nothing when I gave him feedback. All in all this place isn't expensive so you can't expect too much.
Although this place has had a recent renovation and looks gentrified it still serves amazing, authentic Vietnamese food. The soup of the phó is flavoursome, strong and delicious, I would highly recommend it.
Food was very delicious and the wait was not too long.
The Hanoi spring rolls are to die for! So crispy and meaty!
They have plenty of other choices and I can't wait to try them too.
For authentic Vietnamese food, you can't go wrong here.
Love this place. Have been going here for years. Food always good. Have Vietnamese friends who come out from city especially to eat at Tien Dat.
We are takeaway customers here for number of years: food is always good and portions are generous, you can always find parking on Cambridge St behind the venue, so pickup is no problem.
PHO, INCREDIBLE, MEE GORING (english curry taste), Tien Dat spring rolls, ok
Service could be improved by at least one other person serving, not one person serving the whole floor
Friendly and busy Vietnamese restaurant. Accessible food for most palates catering to wide audience. Good value and reliable
Beautiful Vietnamese food. The rice paper rolls and pancake were on point! One of those places where you share the food with friends and just keep eating even when you are full!
One of the best Vietnamese food restaurants in Box Hill!
Food was very delicious and the wait was not too long. Great to share with friends and family.
The prawn spring rolls very very nice and the sweet duck.
Along with great service, the Hanoi spring rolls are to die for! So crispy and meaty! I wouldn’t mind just having the spring rolls for main next time!
