Came here Sunday night, a couple of nights before Christmas. My partner and I were craving BBQ ribs from TGI Fridays but their kitchen had closed very early. We searched for an American BBQ place nearby (this one) and were told they would be closing the kitchen in 10 minutes. We were feeling so lucky and quickly placed our order of The 3 B’s (Brooklyn BBQ Board), mac & cheese and two bevs.

The BBQ board was incredibly disappointing, especially considering we paid $65 for it. The chicken tenders and ribs were so bland and dry, the tiny bit of pastrami was tasteless, the BBQ pork ribs were rubbery and I’m pretty sure there was no brisket. The “slaw” (literally a bit of raw shredded cabbage) tasted unwashed and there was no dressing whatsoever. The buffalo wings and “pork thingies” were okay. Nothing on the plate really complimented each other and tasted unfresh. My partner and I aren’t usually very fussy but we really couldn’t eat most of this. I understand it was a couple of nights before Chistmas but I just feel like it was a huge waste of product that could have been prepared with love, but instead was assembled halfheartedly/lazily within 10 minutes of us ordering it.

We quite enjoyed the mac and cheese but didn’t feel that the small portion was worth $12.

The guy who served us (who seemed to be the only waiter/bar person on staff at the time) was pleasant, but overall this was a below average experience and we won’t be returning.

The place has an amazing vibe to it, very exciting vibe. The layout of the restaurant is a Retro American bar style, which is obviously very appropriate for an American themed burger restaurant. The service was lovely and welcoming, our waitress was very talkative and helpful in explaining the menu and the day's specials. The food was out in 15 minutes, hot, fresh and delicious. I would recommend the Peppa pig burger and the onion rings, they were delightful. The only reason I rated it 4 and not 5 is because it was a little bit pricey, but its definitely worth it. Would definitely return.

If you are reading this because you are curious about the frickles (aka fried pickles) do nut waste your macros. The pickles are nice and sweet but they are coated in batter like four times the quantity o the pickle itself. Not what I personally look or in a frickle.

Our drinks also never made it to the table. - huge group came in after us and then the rest of the restaurant filled out pretty fast after to too. I think the few servers became Evan hope overwhelmed. Who knows.

Girl who check us out was great on a positive note!

A little slice of the Big Apple in the heart of Melbourne.
Excellent service, friendly staff, and a great selection of mains and sides on the menu, with a good variety of cocktails and beer to wash down the burgers.
I'd definitely recommend the Brooklyn Depot to anyone visiting and looking for a cozy place to dine.

Burgers are always great. Nice decor etc.but for goodness sake please put some liquor in your cocktails! It’s like an underage bar. Otherwise always good!

Another cold night, another lazy delivered dinner. Don’t waste your calorie here though. The fedgetabboutit burger was supposed to be spicy, there is absolutely no spice in it. The chicken wings, $12 for 5 wings, was skinny and dry. The deep fried ones were tasteless and the spicy buffalo was not spicy at all. The sweet potato fries just tasted oily. Bad bad bad choice for the night.

Never placed a review as I have never really had an experience as bad as this.
First and last time here. Had the french dip sandwich and cheeseburger empanadas. French dip sandwich was basically fat and cheese inbetween bread and the cheeseburger empanadas was very bland. Very disappointed.

American style dinner with a very relaxed feel to it. Menu had a lot of great sounding dishes making it hard to choose. The mac n cheese balls were fantastic, and the garbage (loaded) fries were great. Burgers were tasty so we left very happy gentlemen. Good location in the city to go and grab a bite any time.

Not really 'American' portion sizes, which is really good. Didn't roll out of there, and I'll definitely he going back!
