There's a lot of thai restaurants in Melbourne, so you gotta be good to stay. With a chef that has Red Spice Road and Long Chim in its resume - the Wanderer definitely has a good pedigree.

We were treated to a set menu of select dishes from their menu.

The dishes were good. Nothing particularly stood out, but the quality and flavour was there. The deep fried prawns in potato noodles were the standout - if they could carry this through their mains I think the Wanderer would have a good chance of being one of the better Thai restaurants in the CBD.

Really friendly and quick service.

Went for lunch, very relaxing atmosphere. I had spring rolls and green curry both were great, service was excellent too

My favourite restaurant in Melbourne: perfect location, fantastic food and excellent service! Authentic Thai food, however including options for vegetarians. Loved my Pina colada and therefore this restaurant could be a great place to start your girls night out as well! Apparently all the plates are handmade in Thailand - how cool is that? ! Doesn't get much more authentic than that!

We have ordered green curry and fried rice with chicken, and we have double asked to make sure if it is chicken fillet and I was assured that it would, but turned out we were wrong, it came with some raw thigh chicken and green curry did not have any veggies. And the otherside that was fried rice, had the same story plus it had just four small pieces of chicken with a massive veggies!
We have also waited 40 mins for our order to come.
The only good point about the restaurant was it's atmosphere that was really beautiful.
So do not expect not even average quality of thai food from this resturant.

We immediately noticed the amazing interior when we walk into the place. It is semi fancy while still has a cool vibe.

For starter, we had the deep fried prawn wrapped in noodle, a very interesting and delicious dish. For main, we had red duck curry and chicken cashew stirfried. They are both also pretty good. Dessert was amazing, we had the coconut jelly that came in cups. The only downside is that everything is a little pricey. But even then, we think its worth the experience.

However The food can be more appetizing with a little or less cheese.

Really good food and ambiance. We were greeted by friendly staff, the place looks really nice and clean. The food is good, would recommend the red duck curry! Service is great and the location is easy to get to.

Nice experience. Used a Groupon deal. Chicken wings were really good. Place has alot of potential. Wait staff seemed bit inexperienced.

We came at lunch time the staff was really friendly he find the best for us because we came with 2 kids. He was really kind with my kid make me feel welcome. We ordered Pad thai and Pork belly, Pad Thai they use special noodle with flavourful special sauce, pork belly is the best I have been eat in Melbourne. Nice and cosy restaurant.

Great Coffee and Great Food! I love their atmostphere, it is very cosy. I think they need to have more marketing to let people try their food.

Great ambience and stunning interior work. Nice and cozy for a breakfast/brunch option served with some lovely coffee. Slightly on the pricey side.

A great venue for an informal catch up with friends. Burgers are excellent, and the beer on tap is very good, even if the selection is limited. The staff also provide consistently good service in a friendly manner. It's easy to enjoy time here, especially with a few good friends.

This is my go to place for work functions / lunches - Have not had one bad experience here - the service is great, the atmosphere is warm and the burgers are awesome. The Elvis burger is the best burger I've ever had! They let you split the bill, they are always organised and they let you pre-order without issue. Can't recommend a better place to go with a group for great burgers and casual food. Keep it up!

Food was decent overall but the service was poor.

I had the brooklyn classic burger and it was well made with good meat, however there wasn't enough sauce so it ended tasting a bit bland. Everyone else at our table was happy with their food.

We were a table of 8 in an empty restaurant. Despite this however, food was slow in coming out and it was not served at the same time. Half our table was given food after waiting 45 minutes, and then the other half got their food 15 minutes after that. I wouldn't normally complain about this if they had orders before us but they didn't; there were only 4 other people in the restaurant besides us who already had there food so taking an hour to get all of the food out (keeping in mind it was only burgers and chicken wings) is unacceptable.

Even worse, some of us individually ordered separate amounts of chicken wings and rather than plating them separately they chucked them all in a single basket and let everyone fend for themselves. Lazy. When they served the burgers they did the exact same thing; they came out on a single platter and let everyone figure out who's burger was who's. Lazy service again.

I could recommend this place if their service was up to scratch but it's appalling that they can't get it right even when they aren't busy.
