Had a chicken and mushroom pie at Donavans once. Just had a moment of nostalgia when I had one at the Village.

I almost never write a review for any restaurant or bakery or cafe! Because I haven't been blown away as much as I was today! But this morning, I just went in to try their coffee and laid my eyes on their quiche lorraine that looked tempting, so i bought with my coffee.

OMG! It was heavenly! The coffee was amazing and the quiche was brilliant with the pastry on the outside that was crispy & wonderful to bite into and fully packed with flavors within.

I would give them more stars than 5 if i could for starting my day with an amazing coffee and quiche for brekky. By far the BEST quiche i have tasted in Melbourne!

I will definitely be back for more!

I've passed by here a few times without giving it much thought, but today was they day I finally went in, gave it a try, and honestly, I'm kicking myself for not coming here earlier!

Every single pastry looked absolutely amazing and the lamb rosemary pie & cornish pastie were, hands down, some of the best I've had on the North side, maybe even Melbourne as a whole.

I will definitely be back to try more of their offerings and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

A great little spot with delicious cakes. We also got coffees that were good and noticed a plentiful supply of fresh baked bread. Friendly staff too. A nice Sunday afternoon out with friends

Perfection! Food is tremendous. I also dropped my coffee all over the floor and the staff were more upset about the fact I had spilled my coffee than the mess I had made. Even offered to make me another. Will be back. Every week!

Very partial to baked goods so a visit to @The_Village_Bakery is a must. Love the Portuguese egg tart, flaky pastry, delicious custard. The doughnut is soft and pillowey and enjoyed the rich Italian custard filling. The raspberry tart has a chocolate custard filling topped with raspberries and a raspberry cream, very tasty.

The staff are so friendly and professional. They’ve handled COVID like absolute champs. We regularly get coffee, bread and cakes from here. My personal favourite is the chorizo quiche. It’s next level delicious. Can not recommend this bakery highly enough.

They do not only have great pies, but great people aswell. After I got my favorite, clumsy me, dropped it on the floor. Even though it was my fault, I got another one! Thank you ️

The price of the bread or other bakery product are double expensive than others. But the quality of the stuff not much different from others bakery shop!

Looks amazing but to expensive for what they supply, service was not the best and we had to stand out in the rain without any cover to wait for out order. I had high hopes but I won't be back again sorry.

I tried a the Nutella donut, fruit tart & hazelnut cronut.all were very nice, proper flavour not hiding behind excess sugar so not overly sweet.which is a marker of good quality.it was my first cronut/cruffin? Very impressed.the village bakery has set the bar high for every cronut to follow!

Lovely pastries but expensive. Croissants are fresh but cold so they must be putting them in a fridge after they come out of the oven!

Everything about this place is incredible. Super friendly staff and the best pastries, pies and bread. Sweet or savoury this place can do no wrong!

Great pizza, they offer their bread sliced (the best thing since sliced bread, right?), and Nutella donuts. What a life.

Dear Village Bakery,
You're still getting five stars because your baking and friendly staff deserve nothing less but can you PLEASE either hire a barista or stop making coffee all together. Having your counter staff making coffees ad hoc only results in rubbish coffee and much longer waits for the stuff you do really well.

If you like anything bread or pastry related you MUST come here. Great friendly staff help as well.

Excellent quality cakes pastries, pies pasties etc but you pay for the quality and it's worth it.

Absolutely delicious. The cronut is a must try for those with a sweet tooth. Go early as all the delicious sweets don't stick around for long.

Came here on my break with a girlfriend and I am soooo impressed with the bakery goods! Everything is so fresh and delicious and the staff is super friendly. I will definitely be back. Thanks:)
