The Union Hotel reviews
57 Can't fault it.beers and TVs playing sports, which is what you asked for isn't it?
Happy hour is sweet but don't slip up and buy muchos cocktails after happy hour is finished.they become $20 a pop so you can clean through your paycheck quick time.
Friendly staff, good ambience.will be back
Annoying that you can only sit people six to a table out on the street, not their fault I know but when you're in a big party its frustrating trying to get everyone together to talk.
Would like a little more variety of beers on tap, but what they have is good and quite fairly priced. More importantly, service is excellent & friendly! Comfy chairs inside (variety of options) as well as outdoor seating. Love that. The DJ wasn't bad either
One of the best Parmas in Melbourne. Love the one with jalapenos, it's delicious. Don't think twice. Perfect place for a drink and for talking, it's nice to be in a place where you can be with friends and being able to hear your own voice at the same time. Recommend!
Nice enough place, good service and facilities but average food. Porterhouse steak left a bit to be desired. Ordered rare, received medium-well. Was quite dry unfortunately. The peppercorn sauce was good, mash potatoes salty as! The plate overall was a little bare for the $36 asking price. Can definitely do better
Always call in here whenever we make a trip home. Happy hour 4-7 sit on the sidewalk with the beautiful afternoon sun
Amazing food, thanks chef. Bar staff go beyond to make you welcome. Great to walk in with Hey Dave.
Didn't stay long, a quick Parma and beer. Very nice and comfortable, not a bad price for the area
Nice place, cheap beers and good time! That's all I can say about this cozy joint in the middle of chapel st.
Nice selection of beers on tap, only came in for a quick drink but looked like a nice establishment. On the dark side but wasn't too bad!
Love this place! The staff are the BEST and the wine is always flowing. Sit outside and enjoy the sunshine! Perfect summer arvo drinks location.
Hands down the best steak sandwich i have had, staff was friendly and the price was cheap in comparison to other pubs on chapel street. Every one should go here, chapel street can be a bit stuck up in certain parts but the Union breaks the stigma. 5 out of 5
Average food, poor beer selection and no positive atmosphere. Don't go there, there are much better places close by.
Great little place. Fast food service and the Lasagne was delish. Indoor and outdoor tables for enjoying a beautiful day like today.
Great pub with good food, good staff, and good beer. Everything you want in a pub, with none of the frills!
Worst experience I've ever got. As a non-smoker, we essentially got told our business meant nothing on the basis drunk smokers spend more. Management is arrogant and service is plain bad.
I ordered lamb shoulder ragout. I was looking forward to it. When it arrived all I saw was fetticcini and tomato based sauce with a slice of bread.
I separated the pasta to find a few strings of lamb here and there
Shame on you. My friends had the Parma and the veal which were fine. I didn't say anything. I didn't have to they just put some of their meat on my plate.
It was a disgrace.
