I was so ecstatic on seeing a BBQ place open on this side of Melbourne and was keen to try it. We ordered a feast for two as pictured which sampled most of the proteins on offer. Friendly staff and good country music playing, it was absolutely delicious and quantity was generous considering other Bbq places around Melbourne. Get in a selection of good beers and this could be a great hangout spot.

If you haven't tried it yet, shame on you. Best place to go if you love a Texan BBQ. Best one in Melbourne by far not to mention how awesome and helpful all the staff are. I'll definitely be a regular. I already can't wait to go back! Thank you again guys.

We weren’t expecting to see a Texas BBQ pit today in Thomastown, and certainly weren’t expecting to make an afternoon picnic of it. But Josh quickly demonstrated that this place is actually something quite special, not only for Thomastown, but for Australia full stop. He was incredibly generous with his time and knowledge, even offering samples before we ended up buying a platter of basically everything on the menu. And incredibly, every single dish was absolutely perfect - wholly traditional, and more importantly wholly delicious. This meal was nothing short of a spiritual experience.

You simply must try The Smoke Pit - it’s worth a trip to Thomastown even if you live across the city.

This is the first BBQ place i have came across in Thomastown, and my word this is well worth the wait! I ordered on Grand final Eve, and it was straight to my door, everything i ordered was mouth watering, still piping hot, the juices flowing from the meat, the mac and cheese creamy as you like it was a delight.

A little extra thrown in there for good measure, they certainty know how to look after their customers, thank you for such wonderful food and great hospitality see you soon!

I pretty much gave up on takeaway food in Melbourne so glad I stumbled across it.great suprise awesome burger and thank you for the complementary poppers!
