The Silly Seahorse Indoor Playcentre and Cafe reviews
45At $5 entry fee for kids, this place is great when the weather doesn't permit outdoor play. There's loads of different activities and things to play and climb on, including ball pits, a few giant climbing tower and slides. There's also a designated section for under twos. There are almost too many things here which makes it look crowded but the kids love it and it keeps them busy for hours.
Ok
Small, friendly, but not very clean.
Coffees not great, play area is small.
Looks like people live here when it's not running as a business. Didn't love it.
The place it's fantastic for different developmental ages. However, I found that for a babies/kids playground it was very dirty. I mean we are still dealing with COVID-19 issues and the place should be cleaner than what it actually is. This is not just from a rainy day, it is disgusting.
Going up to the slides, it was as if a has been eating it, it was all chewed up. Common this is not okay.
Would recommend it if it was cleaner.
My almost 2 year old loved it. Especially the Ball Pit. Great entry Price. I thought it was ok. Most positive. I like that they have a cafe too.things were pretty" used" sometimes (especially covid times not used to that anymore) and messy (not toddler messy) Toilets and change rooms available and even free nappies which is amazing if you forget a spare in the car like i did. Lovely owners though.
Great little place. Very cheap entry, compact and cheap food prices. Clean and the baby change room is very well equipped with nappies of you need one (forgot to pack an extra of course). Would get def come back.
Took my sons aged 13 months and 4 years old here as it was the closest play centre to us.
The boys absolutely loved it.
There is a huge range of toys and play equipment for the kids of all ages. My kids loved being able to roam around everywhere playing with everything.
Took my daughter here for her first experience in a play centre (Thanks COVID haha) and she absolutely loved it!
Was the perfect size for an almost 18 month old to play and run around in
Friendly staff and clean facilities- could smell that it had been cleaned
Ball pit was an absolute winner
100% will be back
At last, a place where babies and toddlers can play in safety without big kids running around them and knocking them over. Great play center
I attended my nephews private birthday here and we loved it. They have a gated toddler area so we could leave our 1 yo and have a nice coffee. The new owners keep it nice and clean. It was cleaned before everyone arrived and cleaned again once our party finished.
I must admit, we avoided this place due to earlier reviews but since the change of management, things must have improved (no disrespect to the previous owners as I’m sure there are many factors that contribute to public reviews).
The $5 entry fee was great (not sure if this was because it was a week day). Cheaper than any other place within a 20 minute drive (that I’m aware of). The equipment here is somewhat limited compared to some other larger centres but is still certainly a lot of fun for younger kids.
We spent a good two hours there. Also ordered a sandwich for the kid and a coffee for myself. Sandwich was lightly toasted which was just nice for a toddler. Coffee was also good.
There is also an on site store selling some accessories. I didn’t have a thorough browse but saw this from the outside. There is also an area with little tricycles at the back that I didn’t see at first.
Run by lovely, polite people with friendly service.
Will be back!
The first play center that is clean! Honestly, the sides were not greasy and gross, toys were clean,
Floor was clean, even the lights had no spider webs, that's a first. Fantastic family run business, very welcoming and kind. Definitely will be making the drive for this one from now on. Great stuff thanks guys.
Went last week with my 11 month old for the first time and I wish I had come here earlier there's lots of things for them to walk on and crawl around and play with and experience.it's awesome highly recommend this place for toddlers and babies and mother's groups
Great place for kids to work of some energy awesome ball pit area for 2 and under very affordable pricing food was made fresh and kids loved it
Not as much equipment as the big chains (crocs, chipmunks, etc) but still plenty for your child to do for a couple of hours, they will have fun. Also half the price of the other places and nice and clean as well.
This is the ideal play centre for toddlers and preschoolers. It's smaller and quieter than the bigger modern (crazy!) play centres but I say that as a positive, certainly not a fault. Good for mothers groups and catch ups. Both staff members today were so warm and friendly and great with the kids. Best prices for entry, food and drink. We'll be regulars here.
Good for very young children as you can see them when you are sitting down having a coffee. Other play centres are too big and rough and it's easy to lose them!
Visited couple of weeks ago with my one year old doughter and she loved this playcentre a lot. She was very busy playing with lots of toys. Thank you for very nice coffee with chocolate muffin and freshly made hot chips. We will be comming back again and hopefully will bring our friends and cousins with us too.
Awesome!
Every mum that is looking a lovely place to sit, have a coffee and watch everything your kid does this place is it. Not to but and not to small. Lovely new owners, so clean nothing like it was. And they sell little home Nick nacks too.:) :)
Pretty quiet and lots of activities to keep the little ones busy. The slides are a bit scary for toddlers but there is a lot of other good stuff.
Okay so this place has changed hands. They used to be owned by someone else and now an Asian couple run it. I can’t say it’s bad, it’s actually better than it was - food is good, coffee is awesome.
However there are two things I dislike. 1 it’s FREEEEEZING. My toes were numb and 2. There is like a small Asian shop inside of it with gifts and bathers.it cheapens it and it’s like they are either trying to run two businesses in one or they are storing the stuff they couldn’t sell in their $2 shop. It’s not appropriate for a play centre.
But the kids love it and so I’m happy
