Arrived at 6pm on a Friday night, greeted swiftly by a lovely server. Beautiful wines and great food at GREAT PRICES.honestly perfect, some of the best Italian food. Would propose here by the window too it's beautiful, with great tasteful music and wonderful ambiance. 10/10

Wonderful Italian restaurant, hidden in Wells St.in Southbank. We loved everything about this family owned/run restaurant. The food and the service were first-rate. Great a-La-carte menu and daily specials board. Booking is advised at busy times. I had the 'specials' Moreton Bay Bugs for the first time and they were exceptional!:)

Came to the Olvie Tree last Friday for a dinner. We were so happy with the easy and friendly service, the spectacular food, the reasonable prices and the warm atmosphere. I'm sure this will become our regular!

Never had a bad meal here, came for the first time about 5 years ago. Steaks are fantastic, seafood is fantastic, staff are fantastic. Just an absolute local gem that we will be sad to leave when we move

This place is a must for all, the food is excellent, the service so friendly, and the menu is for any taste, the variety is great. I am sure you would love this place as I have. Also you never know who you run into, lots of footy legends frequent here.

This restaurant is amazing. I have to recommended the baked Camembert which was incredible. The cocktail menu is huge and so affordable. The waiter was amazing and so lovely. Can't fault it here.

Returned after 30+ years for the first time. Seems time has stopped as they still serve excellent Italian food with great service in authentic ambience. Loved it.

Hearty and tasty meals with an old school vibe. Service was friendly. We had bruschetta, calamari, prawns for starters and ribs, duck risotto, veal parma and penne ragu for mains. Cocktails were nice as was the Pinot.

Customer service is horrible, female Waiter is very rude, ignorant and even insults clients.
We have been going to this restaurant for few years. Food is expensive, not worth the money.

Delicious, but overly priced for a dish that was more likely to be in the kids menu.

Unsuspecting place for some amazing steak. Visited for lunch and staff were excellent with great ambiance.

I recently took some clients to this restaurant for lunch. After being locked down due to COVID for almost two years it was a pleasure to be able to get out and about again.

The staff here were fantastic - They were quick with taking orders and ensuring they frequently checked with the table for drinks and if the food was satisfactory.

We also may have overstayed our welcome but staff did not rush to have us out of the restaurant and were at all times at the top of their game for service.

The food here is amazing. Oysters were very fresh and the scotch fillet steak was one of the best I've ever had. One of my clients got the carbonara which they said was fantastic.

Atmosphere was quite nice and relaxing. Decor was rustic and authentic. We had a table towards the front of the restaurant, plenty of light and overall just a pleasant dining experience.

I'm already planning another lunch here for another client.

Enjoyed a group lunch for the first time in many months. Very enjoyable italian food. So good to be in a vibrant venue after such a long lockdown.

This place used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Melbourne.

Now all that is offered is discrimination.

Love the fact that they had NZ whitebait! Even as an entree, they organised one for a main meal for me! Great service! Would love to try their carbonara next time.

We have been coming here since 1983. Never disappointed and we just keep coming back for our annual reunion. I always order the same thing, Beef Burgundy! Fabulous!

I have been going to this amazing family friendly restaurant for many years. Always great food and always consistent everyone in Australia should try this italian restaurant it will become your favourite beautiful food beautiful family

Customer service is horrible, female waitress is very rude, discriminates, ignores and even insults clients, which is not acceptable. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone, except those who wants experience a discrimination and abuse from female staff. Very very disappointing experience.
