Good seating area, unfortunately, it can be very loud when at full capacity. Typical pub food and quite tasty. Reasonable size pokies area. Recommend booking your seat as frequently booked out.

Came with large group saturday 22nd july
ordered schnitzel Parma asked to change salad and chips for vegies. The attendant on register was polite but I presume the worker who came up beside her was manager bit rude no we can't do that just whats on menu, and I didn't notice sign up. That's fine but she could be more polite in her answer, and a smile wouldn't go astray even serving the meals at table. Wont be going back

An ideal place to bring the kids for a family meal. They have a large indoor play centre space (great for 2-12 years), a lovely air conditioned dining area, and kids eat free on sunday nights. The food was generous, yummy, and came to our table quickly. Our son's kids meal also came with a free serve of ice cream. The staff were friendly and considerate of the kids, too. Very impressed!

We had an amazing time at the Tavern for dinner tonight. Greeted well and seated quickly, despite any thought that we should have booked a table before we arrived there. The service was friendly and efficient. Food was served fast and was very yummy. It made our night great.

Unfortunately quite mid.got the calamari, vegan pasta and a schooner which came to over $50.awesome that they have a solid vegan option but quality across the board was lacking.not a bad atmosphere though, plenty of seating, pokies and a bistro area.

We had dinner there tonight with extended family. I had the chicken schnitzel and one of the other guests remarked "It looks like a baseball glove! " This poor chicken breast had been beaten so flat the majority of it was only about 4-5mm thick. This is exactly why it curled up like a baseball glove when cooked (quite overcooked and very dry as a result). On the plate it was huge, which they obviously think impresses guests. We have been coming to this hotel for many years, so believe me when I say the meals have really "gone off". A group I am involved with had our Christmas break-up a couple of weeks ago, and the meals were considerably smaller than usual, yet another cost saving measure. We will move on I'm afraid, no longer does this hotel offer value for money, not even close.

Pretty poor experience saturday night, bartender cared more about talking to his friend sitting at the bar then serving paying customers, very different experience to the service we have grown to expect from other staff

Excelant atmosphere fantastic roast beef lunch and huge parmas on Tuesdays staff friendly and happy to assist

Asked for a chicken salad the meat tasted like fish lady next table over said se thing about her meal crumbed chops were cremated

Extremely loud inside, needs sound deadening, and the PA system is poor. The food is great, and some staff are not willing to help when a function is booked.

My family of 6 dined here (for the second time in a few months) and our meals were all delicious and good value. My husband had a steak and said it was the best he had had at a restaurant for some time. My meal was lovely too and my son and his family all enjoyed their meals and left empty plates.

My meal was very healthy and delicious. I would recommend for anybody to go there for a enjoyable, delicious meal.

Decent pub food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff also drive thru is open till 11 most nights

A lovely Seniors Meal quite filling.
And dessert was a very tasty and filling Pina Colada Cake.

Great pub food and the staff are friendly and professional. Also has an indoor playground that the kids LOVE on wet days

One star at best. I was in a party of 3 for lunch today. I selected sausages and mash from the seniors menu only to be told that the chef has removed this item from the seniors menu and is no longer available. I queried this as sausages and mash was still available on the main menu however was some $6: 50 dearer, I passed on the main meal as I thought why is it available on the main menu and not on the seniors? It’s not like they ran out of the ingredients! I was then offered the sausages and mash on the seniors menu but was told it would be a very very small portion. I passed on this and concluded that this is one lousy venue which we will never visit again. All 3 of us left without eating and went to the RSL where we had a lovely lunch. Good luck to any future patrons, just don’t ask for sausages and mash from the seniors menu. I think the chef is inconsiderate to patrons and arrogant. We don’t need to put up with this attitude, many other venues in Wangaratta to eat at where we would have been treated better.

Ordered meal at 7pm for 5 people. Meals arrived at table at 8.20pm. 3 people had flat head tails and all 3 felt sick after eating and into next day. Very poor experience
