The Mex

We went to the Mex for one of our birthdays and it was fantastic.
We sat in the booth in the bar which was really lovely.
The meals came out quick and the service was excellent.
Food was delicious and generous as always.
Kids were super happy with their yummy kids meal deal which included a desert! Kids were kept busy with coloring and activities provided by The Mex.
Our son had such a great time he would like to have his birthday party there next year! Great range of drinks and cocktails too. Mex never disappoints! We will be back soon!

Disappointed by the drinks. My friends and I had a number of the cocktail jugs and came away feeling as if they were full of sugar with no alcohol. It ended up being a very pricey way to stay sober. The nachos and burritos were nice though and served in large portions.

As visitors around Clifton Springs was glad that I drove all the way there to get the food cas it was amazing!

We had a burrito and the fajitas and fries and the taste was absolutely on point and the portions were way more than enough!

Only regret is not going there for dinning in after seeing the ambience!

Unfortunately the lack of chili let's this place down, no option for heat when ordering a dish, and no chili flakes. They only offered hot sauce, which is vinegary and unpleasant.

First time dining here and wasn't disappointed. Lovely staff, great food and huge servings. Will be back!

We are from Bendigo and love coming to The Mex when we visit Bellarine once a year. Staff are always friendly and the food is always amazing! They were all amazing with our boys too which is always nice.

Always friendly service and good value for money. Excellent vegan options too which are much appreciated.

It was the wife's birthday yesterday and what a great way to celebrate than to take a way Mex. These guys are awesome from front of house, the awesome chefs right through to the awesome delivery guy. Do yourself a flavor, give these guys a crack, their food and service is over and above:)

Iconic local institution with superb TexMex food and a great selection of cocktails. Very child friendly with great service, it can get very busy though

Literally the best - if we ever want a good meal this is the first place to come to mind, the nachos are bomb and the burritos are amazing. The strawberry daiquiris too.

The food here is fantastic however the price rise is absolutely disgusting.
$44 for rib and wing combo which was $29.50.
Honestly could go to a fine dining restaurant for that price not a local Mexican restaurant in Ocean Grove.

As always was a delicious meal and a great atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We always enjoy The Mex, staff are friendly and efficient. Saturday nights meal was ok. One had Enchilada's with way too much green sauce and one had Fajita's (thought they'd come out on skillet) and said they'd had better. We sat near bar area and there was a drip coming from ceiling also.

Meal was lovely. Service not so good.
Not asked for second drinks we had to call them over to order desert.
Not keen on having to put a deposit of $70 down when booking a table of 5.

This place is normally bopping although because of covid the happy hours in the beer garden listening to great live music hasn’t come back as yet. It is still a great place to come for a delicious feed and the frozen Margaritas of course. The staff are always fun and look after everyone well. The atmosphere is friendly, cool and very relaxed. A great meeting place for locals and visitors. Our favourite
