Very friendly staff, clean and well equipped room and the location was very convenient to the town centre. I booked online and requested a ground floor room as I use a walking stick and have trouble with stairs but was given an upstairs rooms hence four stars instead of five. I would definitely stay here again as long as a ground floor room was guaranteed.

We had 2 communicating rooms which was much appeciated. The rooms are spacious and have a micro and all kinds of cutlery. The badroom has a great choice of toilettery. Tgere us a great parking in front of the roons. The breakfast was very copious.even for glutten free and lactose intolerance. We specially enjoyed the fresh yoghurt with red fruit. In front of the hotel one can find the visitor center with a lot of facities s.a. Art exhibition, games for the kits, library etc. Outside one can admire the pleasure boats. A little walk through the "bush" you find the botanic gardens. On thebother side of the hotel you have the main street with plenty of shops & restaurants. We recommend this motel with a star!

We greatly appreciated walking into our warm room on a cold winter’s night after a long drive. Our bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the complimentary chocolate and breakfast. The motel is ideally located to watch a show at The Wedge theatre.

Absolutely fantastic stay. We stayed for 1 night and I must say it was absolutely great place to stay. Very clean room. Walk in and there is multiple free arontts biscuits! Self serve tea and coffee. Bathroom is modern and have got proper shampoo, conditioner, body wash ect. Complimentary brekky with a generous food selection which also cater to Gluten free. Highly recommend.

The room was very welcoming with lights on, the heating was on and the room was very warm, The room was a true reflection of the picture with a very pleasing aspect from a rear balcony. The decor was modern and the amenities were very good. The bed was extremely comfortable. The little extra touches made it an enjoyable stay. Very well located.

The Matador motel rooms were very comfortable and had everything that we wanted, the booking inn was easy and the breakfast the next morning was amazing, we cannot wait to return.

Really impressed. Very good value, rooms good size, & very clean, bed was comfortable, and location of room was not noisy. Plus a good breakfast included in the price! A return to good value motels. Location is very close to Gippsland art Gallery, the Wedge performing arts centre, main street and various hotels. A good stay.

Well run, pleasant and helpful staff. Only negative was the noise of the air conditioner, incredibly loud, possibly too large for the small room.
Car parking can be a concern, as parks are not allocated per room…. Just the quickest gets the closest to their room. A problem when it’s teeming rain.
Nevertheless an enjoyable stay, well placed for towns sights and facilities.

This motel was perfect for us as we could walk to all the hotels and cafes, and to the river port. It included a great continental buffet breakfast, and the staff and room were wonderful. We booked direct, and it was cheaper than the booking sites. We've driven through Sale many times, but never stayed. We went to see the Archibald Prize Exhibition, staying 4 days and are so glad we did.

We stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly appreciated the immaculately clean and comfortable rooms and the helpful service in recommending places to eat and how to get to local attractions. The included continental breakfast was an added bonus. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved the motel, service was good, rooms clean and well presented and continental breakfast was very good. Only disappointing feature was cold showers in morning in both rooms.
