We had a balcony room, it was very nice. Check in and out was efficient and there was good information where to eat out of get delivery. The doors are very heavy so you can hear the doors closing with a bang from all the rooms near you.

Stayed for 3 nights in October 2023 and could not fault anything. Nice people. Good sized rooms for 1 Adult and 2 kids.
Great Breakfast included in the price.
Will definitely stay again when the time comes.

We stayed at The Matador last night. It was clean, beds & pillows extremely comfortable. Staff were lovely. The continental breakfast was amazing, everything & more you could want.

Fantastic! Great position in town, rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Lovely hot shower. Great breakfast included - with coffee machine which made very good coffees. The Matador pay attention to ‘the little things’ and it shows. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Location was very convenient and within walking distance of town centre, Botanical Gardens, Lakes, pubs and restaurants.
Clean rooms. Fresh bathroom.

Landscaping would really improve the aesthetics of the Matador.

What a wonderful surprise on a spur of the moment stay. Loved the decor! All rooms clean and large. Breakfast was an added bonus.

Well location close to town centre. Room is modernised however very noisy extractor fan in bathroom.

Clean and tidy but the building is in need of some TLC. Feels like the property did get some ‘retro fits’ in the past few years but it’s in need of paint, tidying up of the plants (car park) and put some atmosphere into the dining and reception. Staff were friendly.

A charming little roadside motel, the Matador is suited to solo, couples as well as families stopping by for a night or two. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the breakfast lovely and the rooms well set up and airconditioned for comfort. A bit of noise from the square between rooms (dependant on the guests) but otherwise we did not notice any disturbance from the main roads.

I have never stayed in a Motel before, and this one was amazing. Rooms comparable to five star apartment and further more, the hospitality comparable to Ritz Carlton staff. Thank you Matador Motel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Matador. The ease of booking to the email and text reminders and welcoming prior to our check in was much appreciated. The welcome and hospitality was very warm and we instantly felt right at home. The Delux king room was perfect, had all the amenities we needed. Perfect location, pool was a treat, bed was nice and firm, complimentary brekky was the icing on the cake! Thanks for making us feel comfortable and right at home!

Lovely central place to stay. Clean and comfortable rooms. Quiet, wonderful shower. Great having two chairs at the table as sometimes only one.

We had an amazing time. The rooms were clean and the pool was refreshing. I would definitely come back to this motel again.

We had a short holiday getaway at the matador and loved the place. The pool was warm, the rooms were large and spacious. We shared a room with the kids which we don’t normally do, but it was fully booked and we couldn’t get another room. However we could escape out onto the balcony while they slept and had a nice view of grounds of the school next door. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were so close to the Main Street, restaurants and the 2 parks and lakes that we walked everywhere. Breakfast was included and we were surprised by the spread available. Couldn’t fault a thing. We will be back again, this time booking a little earlier for 2 rooms.

Love this place. Always welcoming can cater to our late arrival time. Good prices. Good location. Good in-room facilities.
