The Mall Eastfield Traditional Fish & Chips

Absolutley have gone downhill. $6 worth of chips and the box was nearly empty. When I rang to enquire about it, I was told to order $8-$10 of wanting more. Absolutley ridiculous

Won't ever be going back. Don't waste your time

Surprised to see such mediocre reviews, this has been our local and first choice for years now and I’ve never had a bad order. They get it right and it’s fresh (cooked to order) and hot every time! Be prepared to need to call a few times to get through on a Friday night as it does get busy but it’s worth it. They keep up with the demand well with friendly service.

It has just changed owners and it has fallen off
The fish used to be really thick cut. Now it has gone to a thinner price and it's more batter than fish these days

This is my favourite place for fish and chips! I'm pretty picky when it comes to my fish and chips but not only is the food amazing the shop is clean and staff are polite.

Best souvlaki's and chips you’ll find in the area. Both at least a solid 9/10. Friendly staff and never takes any longer than 15 minutes before it’s ready. Can’t comment on anything else they have there since we’ve only had the chips and Sovos but they’ve been great service and food wise every time

Overall my experience with this store was not pleaseant, it is a clean and good store, but the food speaks a different language.i think there needs to be new owners and managment, because they dont seem to care / they dont re stock oil regularly hence why potatocakes are oily and rubbery like a hockey puck.hope they can improve, wish them the best

The food is mediocre and the customer service over the phone is appalling. There are better places that you could go. Would not recommend.

This is one of the best fish and chips I have ever been too.
To get consistently good fish and chips isn't easy but this place does it.
It's still just fish and chips but when ever I feel the need I drive 30 just to get it from them

Ordered Seafood Basket for dinner on Friday. Total 26.00 AUD.

Seafood Basket consists of chips, 2 scallops, 2 fish bites, 2 seafood sticks, 2 prawns, and 2 calamari rings.

Everything was nicely fried and well-seasoned, except for the scallops, which were soggy. Portion size was small and most other places are more generous with the chips.

Always busy and tastes great. Funnily it's the chips that let them down but potato cakes are amazing

The best fish & chips going around. The place is so clean each and every time, whether its f&c or a souvlaki, both are GREAT! My go to F&C in the area:)

South Croydon is "BLESSED" with some great local eateries, not that we eat Fish & Chips regularly but this one AND the one in Railway Ave are both great. This one has the best fish, Railway Ave has the best Hamburgers. Both have great potato cakes and chips.

Horrible Old Woman that works here complaining to customers about a couple of talented young musicians who were busking in front of the shop next door on Good Friday entertaining waiting customers. She then thought she had the right to tell them to move along. I won't be coming back here. Food was ordinary and overpriced too.

Tasted good but $16 for two skinny pieces is too much in my opinion. Preparation time was less than the 10 mins I was informed when ordering.

This fish and chip joint is un-makeshift.very fresh fish, elite customer service, they are so warm and polite. I love the management, they always know what i want to order, the duo back bundle is elite, with the nice dim sims and chips.do not get me started on the amazing salad! The place has a greek feel which is good, as they make the best fish and chips in australia

Good food, burger was great and chips were crisp. Not great was the wait time. 65 minutes, when i was quoted 30 minutes. The nice girl on the register apologised to everyone when they picked up their order. Note that people arriving were told the wait time after they had paid. Prices were in the upper range: potato cakes $1.10 and hamburgers $10. Clean and neatly presented place. All in all, I won't be back.
