Absolutley have gone downhill. $6 worth of chips and the box was nearly empty. When I rang to enquire about it, I was told to order $8-$10 of wanting more. Absolutley ridiculous

Overall my experience with this store was not pleaseant, it is a clean and good store, but the food speaks a different language.i think there needs to be new owners and managment, because they dont seem to care / they dont re stock oil regularly hence why potatocakes are oily and rubbery like a hockey puck.hope they can improve, wish them the best

Ya this fish and chips not vary good, rice is nice, but this place does not entice, the flake fish.hie, not good.will get cantonse beef from chinese store Wok'd instead.me no return!

Horrible Old Woman that works here complaining to customers about a couple of talented young musicians who were busking in front of the shop next door on Good Friday entertaining waiting customers. She then thought she had the right to tell them to move along. I won't be coming back here. Food was ordinary and overpriced too.

Summarising the synopsis of the fish and chips i ordered last wednesday; this is what i can honestly provoke and apprehense.

Year by year, fast food outlets become rather ungenerous with serving portions; and in conjunction with this they will increase price.

The duo pack bundle we got, was remarkably awful. That fish fillett was soggy, and dry and sickly. Do not get me started on the potato cake, was undercooked and was so darn small, like a kids meal size or something i would feed to my cat.

All the staff stand in one spot and look at your peculiarly ; my partner felt anxious when ordering.

Also a friendly note, for petes sake get an EFTPOS!

No eftpos. Clearly some tax evasion going on. Was told they dont have eftpos because money doesnt show up instantly. Get real. Got told to drive to croydon main st to get cash out. Wont be back. Also calamari is over priced

We experienced bad fish and chips in late november 2018 ; and we tried to avoid it being the case. There was word in the community that they re opened during the xmas break.and that they were still bad.but we gave them 1 more shot on thursday. Due to the expensive prices we got a few lunch packs.and my GOODNESS where they small in amount of chips, size and perimeter of fish fillet.escalating to the dim sims, they were just plain horrible.we chucked them out to the bird bath.and the fish fillet had as much flavour as a frozen mcains fish fillet, and the chips as wet as a ocean.a zebra cannot change its stripes; and really no efptos?

-Stingy serving sizes.
- Stupid increased in prices.
- Un-fresh fish and potato cakes.
- Soggy chips.
- Horrible dim sims

My work colleague advised me to stay away from this place, and i live nearby the area so my cuz yesterday ordered us fish and chips for the sake of convenience.

1 star for bad food, and NO EFTPOS.
This isn't 1977.
You would actually make your business more efficient as you can complete a customers transaction more quickly.
The duo bundle was not fresh and lacked gourmet quality, and was so expensive.

My wife ordered us some fish and chips for xmas eve.
Haven't had the time to call them up after eating the single pack bundles and Souvlaki but this is what I can say.
The fish fillet was so dry, soggy and flavourless. The potato cakes were stupidly small, the size is not acceptable and it tasted even worse.
The dim sims were just not quite right, they need to get a new batch of dim sims from a different supply chain as they tasted awful.
The chips were half decent, a little dry, everything else was overcooked, and all round inconsistent.
My neighbor last year advised me that they were the best fish and chips in the area, so we thought we would give them a shot.
But clearly things have changed in a years time, I suspect cutting corners and being lazy with your food.
In my 30 years of being alive, this was the worst fish and chips ever.

- Flavourless.
- Unsatisfactory.

We ordered some Fish & Chips last week, and specifically the Fish fillet was awful in terms of freshness and flavour.
I do find it nice and convenient that you can buy Tartare sauce and other arrays of sauces and salads.
But the backbone of improving customer service efficiency and conveneince would be having an EFTPOS.
I like this company, but they are just need to get a grip of their backbone of their food.

I will give it 5 star if the portion size goes back up, I'm a regular customer, as soon as the store reopened after the holidays the price went up and the portion size shunk c'mon guys I won't be back!

Last Friday my cousin ordered the family a few duo pack bundles for dinner.
To advocate the analytics of the fish and chips, this is what I can convey
Flake- lacking in freshness, flavour and generosity of serving.
Dim sim- practically inedible, the meat mince had no gourmet avocation whatsoever and we had to chuck it to the birds that seemed to enjoy it.
Spring roll- lacking in freshness in the onion paste, and freshness and flavour.
Chips- potatoes didn't taste fresh, not seasoned well at all.
Price= incredibly expensive for the soggy and flavourless fish and chips.

Its imperative that you avoid this ailing restaurant at all costs, as they simply consistantly provide inadequate fish and chip making analytics.

Worst fish and chip shop I've laid my eyes on in my years of being alive.

Last Wednesday night, my spouse ordered me and her a couple of single pack bundle. Overall for the expensive price, the serving sizes were rather confined. There wasn't many chip, almost the equivalent to a cup of chips you get at the footy, the potatocake was soggy and was very small, and the flake wasn't fresh and just very sickly. The dim sim was the worst of all, that was literally the worst dim sim ive eaten, over cooked and the meat inside i guarantee tastes so processed and probabaly frozen for long time, cheap. Very peculiar that they only have EFTPOS, probably pay their employees $10 per hour by doding tax. No EFTPOS is very poor. Worst fish and chips in the maroondah area by far and my wife was unhappy with her purchase.

What has happened to this place. Ordered food last Wednesday, the service was chaotic as the workers have a huge mess up with one of the orders; and there was a lack of organisation and niche within the service sector. Clearly has been some shift of sort in management; as in 2017 this place was the best fish and chip shop in the east. My single pack bundle was so bad, potatoecake burnt, not enough seasoning and had to throw out dim sim as it lacked flavour and gourmet freshness. No care factor, and poor service.

- Un gourmet ingredients.

This is my honest analysis; from the experience of Friday nights dinner that my husband went to the trouble to buying me dinner as he is a sweetheart, and in return the seafood basket bundle was so bad in flavour, generosity of serving, and freshness.

This restaurant needs to wake up and smell the roses.

Also they have no EFTPOS which for a fast food outlet is lacklustre. Need to reduce their price as serving sizes are much smaller as opposed to other fish and chip outlets. Worst fish and chips in Croydon.

Stingy, overrated, and no EFTPOS.its a nice friendly shop there is potential for great improvement, just need to reduce price and use EFTPOS.

The food is mediocre and the customer service over the phone is appalling. There are better places that you could go. Would not recommend.
