The Last Jar

The Guiness pie was big and full of rich fillings. The cabbage and mash were savoury and just the right amount of salty. The gravy may have been a touch too salty, but otherwise the meal was great.

The staff make this place, just a great team. Great pub with solid pub food. Guinness is good & poured correctly. Perfect place for a winter weekend session.

Lovely pub, however cash is not accepted as payment - had to leave for this reason. Why isn’t cash accepted?
Why are people letting the banks have more and more control over their money…

A fine experience but a pricey one to be sure (to be sure). I feel bad for the staff, every time I'm in there they're understaffed, hire more people!

Absoloutely amazing staff, Irish musicians in on some nights playing amongst the patrons. Really good vibe, great prices for drinks and the food is on point! Highly recommended. (when covids over)

Such a fabulous place! Hosted an event here and the staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful. Their outside space was perfect for a private function, and the atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone wanting to organise a group event stress free.

Such a fun place to enjoy St patricks day, live bands all evening and great food. Staff were really friendly however probably a bit understaffed for such a busy night as it took us quite a while to find someone to order our food with. However, overall a wonderfully authentic Irish pub!

Brilliant night for St Patrick's Day in Melbourne, plus it was our wedding anniversary, married in Birmingham 36 years ago.

Love this place, couldn’t recommend it enough. Staff are great, service is great, food and bevs are great, seating areas are great, vibes are great. Do yourself a favour and check The Last Jar out. You will not regret it. 10/10

One of my favourite pubs in Melbourne, can't go past a cold beer & some hot Irish chips. The staff are always so helpful and the traditional music sessions are always great!

A perennial favourite - so good to get back and share some laughs with mates on the weekend. The owner and staff know their customers well and continue to win over loyal followers with a quality menu (especially the snacks), friendly banter and a great vibe. Keep up the good work!

It was stinking inside. The price for the beer varies with each bar tender. I will never ever go. Bartender attitude was so rude.

We pre-booked the upstairs area a month in advance and got there to see 15 people upstairs refusing to leave. I brought it up every 30 minutes and the staff were clear the would prefer to make money than acknowledge our booking.

I do not recommend anyone book an event here, they will not acknowledge it, nor respect your booking. Do not rely on this venue.

We booked an area to try and be covid safe but the venue double booked it and were then very rude about it, insinuating we should shut up and be grateful to have a venue.
Completely unacceptable and will be reported to DHS.
